Gaming PC: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X, RTX 3080 10GB GPU, B550 MB, 16GB 3200 MHz RAM, 1TB M.2 SSD, 750W Gold PSU: $1799 Del @ Titan Tech

1400

Hi fellow bargainers,

First time posting here and I feel like this titan tech deal has been overlooked. I'm not too familiar with the company but a quick google search shows them to be reliable, even if it is a one-person gig. As previously spotted on techfasts latest deal, is a team red option for the 3080. Listed at the same price, it comes with free shipping and an upgrade on the SSD from 500GB to 1TB. Many alternative options for a different case as well. In my eyes, just a better deal compared to the 12400f option from tech fast that I thought deserved to be posted.

  • +15

That's an amazing build for that price, honestly, I'm kind of suspicious. If someone buys it please vouch for the store aftewards

  • +11

Even updating a few bits still comes in reasonable $2,379

    Ryzen 9, 240aio, 3x Lian Li Uni Fans SL120,MSI Vampiric 100R

  • +2

I see free shipping which is very nice

    • +4

TechFast and BPC charge for shipping

  • +3

    and windows installed and activated!!!!

    • +3

      TechFast comes not activated

    • +1

Better to not have Windows activated as its like $180 off MS and $20 odd from the grey market.

      • +1

Which version is the best to buy off grey

      • or free with MAS.

  • What do you reckon I could buy it and then swap the 3080 out for my 2080S - sell the thing for ~$1000
    hey presto an $800 upgrade.

    Bad idea right?

    • +1

Not worth the headache - R5 5600 system without GPU can be built for that much anyway

    • secondhand 3080 is easily obtainable at $800. not sure why you'd bother going through all the trouble. Though I think you'd get more than $1k for the 5600x 2080S machine for sure.

    • Are you paying 800 plus 2080s for a 3080? Terrible deal

  • +4

do we know what 3080 this is?

      • +19

        Where does it say it?
        All that's given is

         GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 10GB GDDR6

If you click on the link, you find your answer (which would have been quicker than actually typing your comment).

Right, so its the nVidia one…

      • +7

Yeah clicked on link and definitely not find the answer. You're just assuming he did not click on the link.

      • +7

If you click on the link, you'll realise the answer is not there.

      • -1

Nothing better then a stupid smart arse haha

    • yeah I am guessing it's the blower one fan style… hope I am wrong though.

  • +5

I recall someone commenting in the techfast thread that they’ve tried contacting titan tech to no avail …

  • +3

I remember paying $2800 for a pre-built with these specs to get a 3080. Was totally worth it and at this price I'm tempted to get another. Cbf building.

  • -1

if buyers switch to the O11 Mini, what PSU is included? (since the O11 Mini only takes SFX and SFX-L PSUs)?

    • Disregard my comment. I can't read

  • +3

This price used to cost of buying 1x RTX 3080 10gb model…

  • +6

Yo i just ordered this, you guys are making me paranoid with some comments about not being able to make contact/sus prices. Has anyone ordered from here before and if so how was it?

    • +14

Yes, there was no communication at all. Money taken and nothing delivered for 6 months. I had to make an ACCC complaint, which I then took to the bank to get it reversed/money back. All up took about 9 months to resolve.

      • +1

Well phuck me dead, hopefully Isaac’s grown up ceebs dealing with that shit 😡😡😡

    • When I ordered my PC from them they were prompt and reliable. From what I understand it's 2 brothers that run things so maybe they just got overwhelmed at one point, but overall I had an excellent experience.

      • +5

Then why didn't they just issue a refund instead of jerking a customer around for 9 months?

    • Any updates regarding your order or was it smooth sailing? I heard conflicting report regarding the store so I didn't go for it.

      • +1

        I’d like to know
        If anyone got
        Their
        Pc yet too

  • I especially like the stupid obligatory RGB lights on the front.

    • you can select a diff case for the same price that is not so obnoxious

    • +1

RGB still better than the cold cathodes we used to use.

    • sacrificing noise and cooling performance for retina damage, best bet is buying arctic p12 pwm pst or NF-A12 and combining it with phanteks halo's, then you dont sacrifice cooling for compensation

    • This actually a good case. RGB can be turned off with the controller n the case. It even has a fan in the case to blow air upwards, directly to the graphic card. Good quality overall

  • +10

I could be completely wrong here and will delete if someone tells me I am - but is Titan Tech not the company that about 18-24 months ago ended up being months behind schedule - and then the kid that ran it got all whingy that people were bringing it up because he was still trying to sell new systems even though he didn't even have the parts to complete orders already made?

    • +4

I'm not 100% sure about that specifically but looking through some old 'bargains' has put me off.

Started off selling themselves as 'slightly more expensive than competitors but with free lifetime trouble shooting and a focus on customer service' then devolved into making up new terms and conditions (went from being able to cancel an order with no fee to there being restocking fees). Then lots of people complaining about a lack of communication.

    • +7

      You negged deal for that?

      • for the above comments from quom and BLB1984

    • +2

That doesn't make the deal listed "not a bargain"

      • -1

        it's 189 normally?

        • +5

The listing isn't about the pc with (including) the nzxt cooler option.

        • +2

Where is the NZXT cooler available for $189?

  • +1

Is there anyone doing pre-builds in ITX cases? There's a degree of difficulty in building for small form factors that's worth having an expert builder but I can't seem to find anyone capable for the job in Australia..

  • how does it compare with techfast's 3080 deal?

    • +2

Bigger SSD on this one. Most stuff is the around the same but CPU is AMD rather than Intel, but pretty comparable in performance according to a quick google. A nitpicker could probably find one CPU better than the other, but realistically it's probably too close to notice a diff in-game. I went with the techfast one the other day and this feels kind of like 6 of one, half dozen of another. Go with your heart

      • appreciate the help, same as me, I also went with Techfast's 3080 since they have more reviews on ozbarg

    • This deal is 10x better than Techfast

      • Wow

    • If just focusing on parts, this one would have better motherboard, better case (DF600 is actually a good case, the fan hub allows u to add more fans easily), definitely bigger ssd . I prefer 5600x over 12400f, as it runs cooler, and u can tune power and voltage through mobo.

  • +4

I was keen but googled the address. It's coming up as Kennards self storage.

I'm not sure that bodes well for after-sales support. But perhaps someone who has dealt with them before can share their experience?

  • +2

A lot of clicks and there doesn't appear to be a limit as to how many can be ordered. I seem to be able to check out with 1 million of them and I'm pretty sure they can't make 1 million of them.

  • Yeah I was heavily considering this when the Tech Fast deal popped up. I ended up going with Tech Fast - even though they offer a smaller SSD and no activation by default, they seemed like the safer, more reliable option (someone replied to me to say they couldn’t get in contact with Titan Tech at all, which doesn’t bode well):

  • +2

Wish they could do one with a 4080.

anyone see the previous reviews and comments in regards to Titantech?

    • I'd be interested in this too.

  • HODL, the next AMD GPU gen looks promising and will force Nvidia cards to get cheaper

    • Depends, if US Government is re-imposing 25% tariffs on imports of Chinese made GPUs from 1 January 2022… what will that do to price strategies here in Aus I am still trying to guess but I think it will still go up as they set pricing to be fairly uniform, and can't have Aussies buying GPUs much less than USA

    What am I missing here?

Why did a non-associated fellow post this deal which on the website is called an Ozbargain special? If it was put together for Ozbargain, why did they never post it to Ozbargain?

    • Exactly what I was thinking lol

    • I have no idea. I only knew about it because it was posted in the Forums:

      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/13047915/redir

    • +1

…and why isn't @Titan Tech not commenting on this deal/thread

    • +1

I think the fellow that posted it is associated but chose not to disclose the information as to not seem like a salesperson.

      • +2

Nah not associated at all just a long-time lurker and saw it linked on the other tech fast deal. Why the deal on the titan tech website is called an OzBargain special and not posted on here by themselves I'd have no clue, just thought I'd share it with y'all.

        • Cheers for the share, apologies if I was wrong. Deal looks good regardless.

  • +1

Where is their pickup location? I can't find the address on their website…

    • +2

It's in their deal post, just under add to cart button

      9A Rodborough Road
      Frenchs Forest NSW 2086

      • Ah, thanks!

      • Which points to some Kennard’s self storage

        • Rent would be cheaper at Kennards than an office in Shitney!

  • does it matter Intel vs AMD gaming anymore?

  • What would the amd stock cooler be for the 5900x that doesn't have a stock cooler?

  • Bargain, I built a similar spec myself for $2200

  • If they did a 4000 series pre-built deal like techfast I'd be all over that asap

  • +5

Looks like the price go up to $1949

    • +3

      Lol wow.

I guess that at least confirms they’re still active? xD

  • would this go ok with MS flight sim ???

  • -3

Include a copy of Windows 11 then I might buy it. Not gonna bother with illegal keys and developer keys on Amazon and ebay

    • 10 upgrades to 11 for free

      • -3

Then provide a 10, deal is over anyway

        • +1

          They do …
