      I personally had better luck with Special website when going through mobile device (e.g. Safari on an iPhone) rather than desktop - whether Safari/Edge/Chrome for some reason. Maybe worth a shot.

        And make sure VPN is off.

    Got it, tried to use in the special gift card in store at JbHifi, the google wallet feature didnt work at all for the gift card which was a virtual CC.

    Ended up getting what I wanted via my other CC, and put the funds toward an online preorder of the same value as what I wanted today.

    Special is really quite terrible in its UX.

      wholeheartedly agree with you on this…. the amount of time from ordering the card to download the card onto my wallet is way too long. If there was no offer, I wouldnt have bothered. Dont know why they have made it so clunky

      I had the opposite experience, couldn't get it to work at all online so had to add it to google pay and pay in store… Not sure if it was a special issue or a jbhifi issue…

      For JB Hi-Fi specifically, you can try converting to a proper JB Hi-Fi Gift Card (free email and postal delivery, no expiry, any amount between $10 and $500) first for peace of mind.

    Activated on iOS app using Amex Apple Pay.

    Pretty easy.

    Apparently you can add the card in your apple wallet! And it's not a bar code thing - you can tap to pay using gift cards. Pretty cool!

    Could use the app and buy the cards with Amex and CBA, quiet some steps to get through but worth it. Cards delivered immediately and was able to add to Apple wallet straight away…

    I bought 133 from the website last night using my amex. Gift card arrived instantly to my email, and confrimation email from amex arrived roughly 18 hours later.

    Bought with commbank ultimate as well, gift card arrived instantly and just waiting on confirmation email/notification but with experience takea roughly 1 to 2 weeks with commbank rewards.

    Can you use the cards to buy Apple gift cards on the Apple website? It says it acts as a credit card but obviously I think you can only use one card to buy things, plus up to 8 gift cards. Conversion would solve this.

        When you go to the specials website you can search for the giftcards that you want.

        I according to the description in OP, the 15% is valid for other cards as well. So long as you pay using Amex.

    I sent special support a message saying that my $134 card is no longer accepted at coles and woolworths and as this was not the product I purchased, please send me a replacement $134 woolworths card.
    They promptly got back to me asking for some details and saying they would send me a replacement.
