          yes, I believe you're right. I think it's the 800mm reach that makes this lens its own class. You don't get 800mm on such a light package on any other mirrorless or dslr systems. Even the Panasonic FZ300 super zoom only reaches to 600mm — that said, the FZ300 is more portable and have worse sensor performance.

      To sell the lens for $1500 will not be so easy. You could get lucky.
      A realistic price will be $1200

      However, the 100-400 is a very decent birding lens. I would get this kit just for birding, but I am poor

        I didnt receive any response but they have now looked up my claim and have confirmed it was successful. All good. They also mentioned the next lot of gift cards will be ready mid January so might receive this month.
