      • Sign me up for one. I'm using an 8 year old Philips 1080p 32". Damn having a nap!

      • Can you please update when available?

      • obviously not from ozb community :p

      • Is there a way to be on a waitlist or something? Missed out but really keen to get one if there are cancellations. Thanks
Can pick up in Brissie too, if that's an option

  • I only went out for a few hours and missed this, i hate my life.

Can OP confirm the warranty term on this monitor? As per Philips' documentation https://www.download.p4c.philips.com/files/3/328p6vjeb_75/32… it should be 3 years..

    • +1

good to know. Can anyone check with PHILIPS? much appreciated. If it has only one year from the seller, it is fair enough due to this price.

      • If it's sold as brand new it should have full manufacturer warranty - 3 years. Price doesn't matter.

        • thx

    • 4 years from the paper coming with the monitor.
The first letter in the model is P, for 4 years.

Also comes with a SmartUniformity Data Sheet at Shipment.
      Claiming calibrated before shipping.

  • Please confirm if it is a brand new and the warranty. It is very confusing. Sent a message to the seller without response.

    • +4

Yes, they are brand new and include the manufacture's warranty.

  • Directly from the eBay listing page:

    Condition:
Brand New: A brand-new, unused, unopened, undamaged item in its original packaging

I would say the the actual vendor specific footer can be ignored as it is part of their branding that is displayed for all of their products on sale on eBay.

  • Hows it compare to dell at 290

    • +5

      70 cheaper

    • +1

Hi, Can you send the link to the dell?

  • -1

Is there more stock coming? Its showing sold out.

  • +6

Does anyone else feel this is too hyped up by FOMO? I didn't realise so many people need 32' 4k monitors so badly

    • -1

      For sure…

    • It definitely is. It’s a good but average monitor. Happy with it for $175 but I gave it to a family member and will keep using my 27” 4K IPS with USB-C which is notably superior despite being older

    • +1

FOMO while others really need one. I've been waiting to get one of these for weeks for wifey (WFH) to get my 2nd gaming monitor back… Not worth spending RPP when 2nd monitor is only QOL

      • You bought your wife a VA panel to do office work on? Ouch.

        • +1

Why would you not? Are you the reddit-user-IPS-or-nothing kind of people? With the input delay on this one, I hope you didn't buy it for yourself as a gaming monitor!

          • @pierrooo37: The VA panels ive used are great for movies but not great at showing text. Maybe i'm wrong and they've improved since then (it was years ago).

    • +4

Nope, at this price you didn't even need to be considering an upgrade for it to be incredible value.

  • Is this a rebadge of the Dahua 4k 32in monitor with a different stand? The button layout seems the same.

    • +1

I wouldn't be surprised, looks very similar.

    • +3

I'm not sure about the rebadge, all I know is Phillips have been using this exact shell for years. We have numerous 1440p VA and IPS panel Philips' in our office that look identical to this.

  • NO I MISSED IT AGAIN

  • +3

Would love to know the story behind these and the secondhand ones, feels like some govt department bought a crapload and only used half.

    • If you had any idea how much the LNP wasted during their tenor this is a drop in a very large bucket. Talking billions gone to the shredder.

    • +9

      Fair swap…

  • Got one. Thanks . For me, this was the bargain of the year on Ozbargain.

  • +1

Paid $275 during black friday for a Philips 288E2UAE 28inch 4K UHD 4ms FreeSync IPS

Bit burned about not getting this deal but apparently IPS is king 💩

I did get a Dauha 28 inch 4k VA for $235 originally which was a 28in also but had about 20 dead pixels which I returned.

    • +1

I bought the used one that op posted last week, screen is flawless no dead pixel

    • +1

Paid $275 during black friday for a Philips 288E2UAE 28inch 4K UHD 4ms FreeSync IPS

      This deal? https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/741037

Did you use a different coupon code to get the price down to $275?

In any case, a much better deal than this VA panel.

  • Got one thks

  • +1

If you want this for free, you could buy Philips shares, they've been in the toilet with all the other tech stocks, but they make the best medical and consumer tech going.

    Just my opinion.

    • +1

The reputation of their medical division is in the sewer. The foam in the CPAP's they sold was cancer causing, broke apart over time, and was positioned directly above the turbine. A lot of people have had tiny parts of cancer causing foam blasted into their lungs from it. I actually got some mail from Philips saying not to stop treatment for sleep apnea, and continue using the unit while investigations were underway! Awesome stuff.

      • +1

Where is the evidence for cancer? I haven't seen any. Their medical tech reputation is not in the sewer.

        https://sleepreviewmag.com/sleep-treatments/therapy-devices/…

        • +1

The initial mail I received from Philips suggested it was carcinogenic. From memory it wasn't the foam itself, but the gases that are emitted when it breaks down. There may be studies that have been published since that refute this, but there are a lot of variables that I doubt they took into account (age of the machine, whether water is changed every day, damage to the unit, age of consumables like filters). For them to recall all their medical PAP devices at the time they must have considered it a very serious problem. I hope you're right and it's completely harmless, and not like many other carcinogenic materials where people had assurances of safety only for it to come to light years down the track that they were cancerous.

Regardless, for a machine designed to blast air into your lungs at pressure to also be pumping foam into you has damaged their reputation, whether it's cancerous or not.

In saying that, this is an awesome deal and I bought two monitors :D

          • +1

@Elmsy: I would applaud Philips for doing a recall, considering they probably could have gotten away with doing nothing at all, and it's cost them a lot of money. I've been on cpap therapy myself for over 12 years, and I have a cousin who used a Philips machine for a long time. Last I spoke to him, he said he'd been sent a new machine, and they replaced all the foam with something else in his old machine, so now he has two machines.

I looked away from Ozb for several hours due to work, and I miss out on some of the best deals. Always the way on here. The quick and the dead, haha.

            • +1

@Oofy Doofy: Call me jaded but I have little faith with companies doing the right thing, hopefully this a case where I'm wrong!
Yeah, it's crazy how fast they sold out, I just managed to scrape in and get a screen for me (and the wife for working at home).

              • @Elmsy: This must be the third or fourth post Ive read here of someone buying one of these VA panels for wife (or someone) working from home.

Don't VA panels have poor text reproduction vs TN & IPS? I thought VA panels are only good for movies/media. Has something changed?

                • +2

@ssfps: At the moment she's using an old monitor purchased from gumtree that is pure trash. This will be an upgrade even if it's not as nice as IPS. If it's no good, I can always return it or sell it on for the same price. I'm also curious to see if the problems people have mentioned about VA panels are overstated, it might even be a non-issue.

                • +3

@ssfps: I did notice the text was definitely not as sharp on this monitor. But brightness and colour seem good. It's just a basic monitor overall, great for this price but no way i'd ever pay close to the RRP for it.

                  • +1

@nubzy: Did you compare to some other monitor?

  • +1

Hi OP, can you please let us know if you see more deals like this? thank you

    • +1

5 Extra units have gone up.

      • +2

That lasted all of about two seconds.

        • Couldn't put my cc details in fast enough :(
Any more? Or definitely sold out this time?

          • @plain_biscuit: get ready with cc stored and address and put one in cart smash that f5

          • +1

@plain_biscuit: We are expecting another 70 hopefully today or tomorrow.

            • @Calmago: Thanks, got my cc stored this time, bring it !!

            • @Calmago: Oh beautiful there is still hope after all

              What's current eta

              • @AlienC: ETA is today

        • maybe set so each ebay member can buy 1 only ? i dont know… sound stupid as you want to sell asap but maybe some will think that is fair due to limited quantity

          • -3

@CyberMurning: This is how you lose loyal customers. Especially if they reuse listings.

            • @CodeXD: I'm keenly waiting for 1 too. Been waiting for update on OZB and always missing out :(

        • Remember 2 second is a long time when people bitch about ping time going over 100ms

  • +3

My has been delivered. Ridiculous speed!

    • Wonderful. Do share your user experience please.

      • +1

I’m not at home. I don’t know much about monitors, just needed an upgrade. I won’t be of much assistance unfortunately.

        • All good. Thanks :)

          • +2

@ashftc: Ok I've had a play around with it. I don't have anything to compare it to, since my superseded 1080 home monitor was literally half the size and very, very old. And my work one is even more pathetic. As such, I find the clarity to be excellent and detailed. It was so bright initially (100% from the factory), that I got a tan and had to don my welding mask to adjust the settings.

The best feature for me is that the screen can slide up and down along a track and the action is not cumbersome at all. The height adjustment is quite long, so I can literally use it as a standing computer for short amounts of time. I imagine I will use it like this most of the time at home.

One thing I will note, is that the base is askew and does not attach to the stand with symmetry. I'm getting a bit triggered to be honest.

            • +1

@ilikeit: In the same boat loving it so far and the 90 degree rotation is cool too!

Just a suggestion but my base was askew once assembled too. For me i just found i had to twist the stand once it was all in place and i achieved symmetry! I dont think it loosens the screw, could be wrong, but it was really annoying me too, hope this helped.

              • +1

@mantrex19: Holy mother of Zeus, that worked! Crisis avoided and I can calm the F down. Yep, the 90 degree turn is fantastic. Super handy when plugging it all in.

            • @ilikeit: That's good to hear. Awesome and thanks for sharing :)

    • Awesome to hear.

      • any updates when the remaining 70 will drop?

        • +1

No sorry, as soon as they are transferred over to us we will have them up.

          • @Calmago: Will it be today? Needed 2 for kids.

            • @bonking: Kids these day don't know what they are missed out on. Hopping on the 4K train. Totally awesome.

          • @Calmago: Do you reckon it will be today or tomorrow?

            • @bagajoker: could be today, could be tomorrow

(tomorrow, read the above - repeat)

        • @AE they have just gone up

  • +2

Still waiting for them to load the stock so I can buy

  • It has been delivered to my door already. What a speedy delivery.
I will check it out when I am home.
    Thanks OP

  • Dang! I Cant believe i missed this one :(

    Hoping you find some more!

  • Auspost claiming it's been delivered and yet nothing has showed up at my place. Guess it's refund request time.

    • +1

@Arealtur Kishman 69, For me they have left a card. Maybe they did the same to you. Did you check the tracking online?

      • @Ronney online tracking says delivered, and no card left either.

    Coming from a 5yr old 24” 1080p Asus monitor…..WOW!

Fantastic picture, great price and super fast shipping.

    • Good for work and play?

      • +1

Just bought a second one for our young fella who’s a gamer, obviously not an ideal gaming monitor but a huge upgrade to his current one but works perfectly fine from a browsing, YT, work standpoint.

  • +8
