  • Bought the used one for $179 last week, is this a better value ?

    • +2

I'd probably have chosen new for this price over the used one for $179
Especially since the stand screw was missing so I have to wait until the replacement one sent out by the seller arrives

      • Yea but dunno if we can return the used one now

        • +1

Seller has Free Returns, so you should be able to do a return request through your purchase hub and get a free return label without dealing with support (should auto-generate).

    • +18

No sorry, these are brand-new units.

    • +5

      Bro learn to read mate

  • Mmm nice. 60Hz.

    • +8

It's going to cost a lot more to go above 60Hz at 4K.

      • +35

This is Ozbargain, they expect a 32 inch 144Hz 4K monitor at $200 but will pay RRP and chuck a parade for a Nintendo Switch/Ps5 because it's in stock.

        • +12

Don't forget celebrating paying over RRP for new GPU cards.

        • +2

Don't forget to HODL. But wait oh no, it's out of stock already. Well you can still HODL, LOL.

        • Or lettuce below $10

        • But will upvote $1800 RTX4080

  • +28

    • +7

      • +5

I just msg her about this, to let her group of friends know about this deal,, and hinting its cheap, makes me wanna get one =) Testing the waters.

        • +11

oh i thought you said you msg her about someone told you to kill her over a monitor and she fwd to her group without reading
omg dude run now before cops coming

        • +2

You need to keep us posted on this interesting story! lol

          • +4

@ravalparth: Update: Wife left him for someone who wasn’t afraid to ask about buying a monitor.

Her new man has many monitors he bought for himself.

            • @SolitaryMan: HAHHAHA well… you see i have like 5 monitors at home already, I know she will ask why I need so many, =).. 2 in the lounge and 2 in the bedroom. and another sitting in the garage collecting dust..

              So I'm like, I don't need one just want a 4k..

So has yet to find out =) . Wait till the parcels arrives….then it would be even more interesting

              • @Temptation: Order this one, then sneaky-swap the one in the garage collecting dust :D

              • @Temptation: "2 in the bedroom"

tell her this ones for the bedroom ceiling; either for her to watch soaps while you make love to her (so she won't get bored) or to show her instructional videos LOL

      buy now, think consequences later
      lol…

at least it's summer, the sofa is warmer when you stay there in the next 1 month :p

  • Whats 4k like on this format for personal or office use. I love 3440x1440 on the 21:9 format?

    • +1

great for office use, I have 4K 28" now and love it ….. my 3440x1440 32" I gave away.

  • -8

Was about to buy until I realised it's LCD

    • +51

Yeah, deal breaker not being a CRT

      • +7

Yep agree, don't want any ghosting when I play Counter-Strike 1.6

        • +2

Do you reckon I'll get ghosting when I play GTA 2? I'm still not convinced I should upgrade from CRT just yet

      • +2

Just imagine a crt with the same dimensions. Old school gaming light guns here we come!!

        • No need for a CRT - look up GUN4IR. It gives pixel perfect light gun goodness using LCD monitors :)

It's going to be a holiday project for me, can't wait!

      • I thought rear projection tv is the one to get

    • +3

      What else would it be?

      • +3

        Plasma?

        • +22

he wants OLED NANO HDR for $200 delievered, wrap with gold ribbon

    • +2

      It’s no plasma? Forget it!

    • +3

All LED monitor is LED backlit LCD.
I am sure this one is VA LED panel
Not sure why they call it LCD as is though.

  • hmm never own 4k monitor in my life tempted to replace 29ultrawide FHD+21wide FHD setup with 2x32 of these
FHD is just not enough things on screen………

    • +2

Yeah 1080 on this size is too low. I see people selling 32" FHD's on Facebook all the time for $300 odd. Upgrade and sell the old ones - you might even walk away with some cash?

      • +2

Are you sure people are actually buying them though?

  • +1

Buy now, think about if I really need it once delivered. Ozbargain way!

    • +2

I don't know why I get negged. But a 2nd monitor at this price point is a real bargain imho. :)

  • 60hz.. bummer

  • +2

Got the used ones last time, happy so far. Would get new ones for extra $30 though if had a chance to choose.

    • $30 for opening it as new and for the 4 year warranty.

    • Agreed. Would've been nice to have a heads up these were possibly coming.

Doesn't matter though, the used ones are working fine here apart from some very visible scratches on the stand.

  • +1

The used ones from the previous deal had good colours, brightness, response time, size and IO. I would recommend this.

  • +13

Got one seeing the excitement from everyone

    • +2

      That's the spirit lol

  • +2

HDR 600, USB3.1 ports, rotatable screen! - it'll do for office work /Google TV host.

    https://www.trustedreviews.com/reviews/philips-brilliance-32…

    • +4

Wrong model, this isn't the HDR 600 version.

      • I noticed that because I paid 469 for my HRD600. Thought this was gonna be a better deal

        • +1

Absolutely is given the state of HDR on LCD monitors, but just wanted to be clear about the model in question. Performs largely the same, just minus the extra backlight strength and the ability to make good use of the extended gamut. May even be locked to 100% sRGB?

  • Just in time.

Was actually looking for a monitor with - yes - VGA connection - at least as per Phillips website.
My lil box gives me 2 HDMI + 1 VGA for 3 monitor setup.
    Thanks OP.

    • +1

While this is a great deal, note that it's easy to get sufficient passive HDMI and DP convertors for VGA these days, though you might need powered for a VGA output that supports 4K.

  • +4

Holly cow, a 4K display with USB-C and USB hub for 200 dollars! Ordered! A decent USB hub would cost more)

  • 41 sold in one hour..and counting…=(

    • 128 Sold in 1 hour and counting!

  • +2

ummm what's the catch? almost too good to be true for ANY 32" 4K monitor.

How would this compare to LG 32UN88? (I know probably not as good colours but still for the price…)

Edit: NEVER MIND… it's VA Panel, it's been a while since I looked at monitors and totally missed that this wasn't IPS lol. VA is only good for TV heh.

  • $209 for eBay plus with personal code.

    • I got the same deal with my monthly eBay Plus code.

  • +4

Owned one then sold as a 2nd hand. It's a very normal VA pannel LCD, but good price for a 4K monitor as home office use.

    • Could you confirm the USB-C works for display or is it only for charging?

      • please ask seller.

      • +1

        I don't think there is a USB-C in this one. I have 2 monitors and they don't have USB-C.

  • 4k 32" brand new screen for that price is hell cheap….

Just keep in mind there are different variants of this model.
This is the 300 CD/M2 model, not the 400 CD/M2, not that it really matters… for the price you just buy it… nothing close to it in that class for the price. It's got vga, dvi, hdmi and DP inputs, and it also has height adjustments if what i'm reading is correct. I couldn't verify that though, in built speakers… which will probabyl be rubbish, but they're there for sound if you need them.

Pretty sure it's this one, don't be fooled by the 75 in the name, it's 4k/60hz, actual bargain, but you need to be ebay plus to get the price in the title. It's $229 posted without ebay plus, that's still cheap!

  • @Calmago Are you able to confirm the exact MPN for this unit?

What are the remaining letters and numbers after 328P6V?

I am wondering if it is the same as the below model without the bundled USB-C dock.
    https://www.gadgetguy.com.au/philips-328p-4k-32-inch-with-us…

    • +2

      328P6VJEB/75.

I don't think these are the Type C dock ones.

      • Hi @Calmago a pm to you on it, thanks.

  • +1

Thanks grabbed one for WFH use

  • Mine hasn't even arrived from the previous deal and there's a deal for a brand new one? Sadface

  • +2

    VA panel?

    • You want IPS at this price point???

  • If I have a laptop with one HDMI out, is there a way to plug 2 of these screens?

    • +1

You'd probably need a docking station. That too a good one to display two 4k screens. That's provided if you want to extend displays to two screens. If you want to mirror only then a simple dongle from kmart will work as well. Not sure if you'll get 4k on both with that though :)

    • Not with the single HDMI. What USB ports do you have?

      • I have a Usb 3 charging port and a HDMI out

        • What's the exact model of the computer? If it's type C you might have DP alt mode. Or else a adaptor might work with USB3 but in my experience they are pretty shitty.

          • @Presence: It's a thinkpad with core i5 8th gen, I don't think this screen takes usb c screen input
