    Good Afternoon

    • +1

      Hi XD

      • +1

        Hi

  • +10

Solid price, but would a 5600 CPU bottleneck a 4080 at 1440p and above? It definitely would at 1080p.

In any case, seems like the $50 upgrade to the 5600x could be a play

    • +3

Sell the 5600 and pop a 5800X3D in there. They are missing a trick not making it an upgrade option though

      • -3

or sell 5600 and 4080 so you can buy 5800x3d and 3080 ti/90 without extra cost, although good luck selling the 4080

      • +2

        Probably OOS of the 5800X3D

    • +10

Don’t do that, 5600X is basically the same as the 5600. That would just be wasting $50

      • -6

        they said 5800x, not 5600x

        • +2

          No, they said 5600x.

Also, I need to point out that your attempted correction was doubly wrong because the "other they" said 5800X3D not 5800x.

          But thanks for playing.

    • +1

Isn't 1440 and 4k GPU bound whilst 1080 is CPU bound?

    • With a modest OC my 5600 outperforms the average 5600X in all benchmarks.
      This GPU requires a 5800X3D.

    • +3

GPU is the bottleneck above 1080p. Cpu doesn't make a difference at 1440p and 4k. Perhaps 2-5fps if you are lucky.

I went from a stock 5600 to 5950x with a 3080gtx and got a boost of no fps at 1440p.

      • +1

This is a 4080 not a 3080 which changes the math considerably. Still don't think it's a big problem for this deal though.

    • +2

No one should ever pay $50 to go from a 5600 to a 5600x. They are nearly identical.

Also a 4080 will bottleneck any CPU that exists at 1080p.

  • +3

Am i missing something? Or is this just a killer deal? RTX 4080 is selling for ~$2400 at most places.

    • +7

Some sellers are selling entry level models for $2,000

    • +22

You can find 4080's at cost price or MSRP which is around 2K. I just put this build in PCPartPicker and using available parts and prices from other sites I get around $2,807 as a build cost. Meaning this deal is about the same as building it yourself. I suppose if you don't want to spend time building you do save time. You maybe save $20-50 on shipping too assuming you need to buy parts from different sellers.

Mind you, you are getting a Gaming X Trio which is a pretty decent card, so it's a decent deal. But I do think top tier and mid tier 4080 models are overpriced anyways. Nothing crazy. I put the breakdown below:

      CPU>>AMD Ryzen 5 5600, 6-Core/12 Threads UNLOCKED - $199 at Amazon
GPU>>MSI GeForce RTX 4080 16GB GAMING X TRIO - $1999 at JW for a Ventus as a substitute not much difference.
      MOBO>>ASRock B550M Pro4 AM4 Micro-ATX Motherboard - $149 at BPC Tech
      RAM>>ADATA SPECTRIX D55 DDR4 RGB 16GB 3200MHz Memory - $100 at OnlineComputer (Probably can find cheaper RAM)
      SSD>>Kingston NV2 1TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD - $96 at Centrecom
      PSU>>EVGA SuperNOVA 850 P5 80 Plus, Platinum 850W Fully Modular Power Supply - $169 at BPC Tech
CASE>>MSI MAG VAMPIRIC 300R Tempered Glass Mid-Tower Chassis - $95 at BPC Tech

      Total = $2,807

Assuming you spec a different PSU and find cheaper RAM with equivalent specs, you're not really getting a killer deal. It's not a bad one though.

      • +3

        100% this
4080 doesn't really present good value against 4090 and 7900xtx (and some older gen gpus) in terms of $/fps, this is why BPC is getting rid of their stock they have been sitting on since launch.

    • +1

There was a high end model for $1900 briefly last week. Pretty easy to find for $2000.

  • +2

This seems like a really good deal, even with some upgrades.

    • +8

If you're already buying a 4080 yes, but all the new generation GPUs aren't exactly great value, making pre-builts with them in a bit poor too

  • +1

If only it was a smaller case 😢 very good deal!

    • E-atx case for an matx motherboard, weird combo

    • We can help swap the case!

      • How small could this rig go?

      • If i were to buy this (or any of your other prebuilt PC's) but want to change the case within the order, how would i go about this and would there be help with changing any components so they fit the new case?

Would i just have to contact your sales/support email?

  • +3

Given that this doesnt have Windows on it anyway, it would be good if we could get these builds with the option of removing the SSD altogether to reduce the price further. I've already got an SSD with Windows on it that I intend to use on any new prebuilt PC I buy, so having the SSD in there is an unnecessary extra cost.

    • Pretty sure they have stated comes with an inactive windows. Got to test the system etc

      • I didnt see it mentioned on the product page or this deal, and again didnt find any reference to it after checking again, hence my comment. Even if they do include inactive windows, I'd still prefer to have the option to exclude the SSD and reduce the overall cost.

    • Hi Trishool,

We can do a quote without SSD for you!

      Cheers,
      BPC Team

      • Hi Rep,

Appreciate the offer, however my comments were more general in nature, that I feel it would be great if you could offer your deals on builds with the ability to remove the SSD as well so the price could be reduced further, not just for me, for everyone.

  • +3

It seems the motivation to sell the AM3 CPUs is quite high!

  • Booo just bought a PC from you guys 2 days ago

    • -3

Yeah I hate specials for this reason, I buy from a few stores now that never discount and never jack or gouge.

      • +2

Weird timing to do a % discount. Too late for Xmas presents too early for Boxing Day? Lol

        • +1

Maybe they know something we don't, maybe the 4080s will be discounted further on boxing day…

        • In the invoice after purchase it lists the coupon code as "Gaming PC Boxing Day 10%"
          Earlier the better I say

    • +3

Send them an email asking if there's anything they can do. From experience, they've been helpful whenever I've emailed them

    • Hi Danstar,

For PC orders placed within this week, based on the difference amount, we can help set the same amount of store credit (The cost of the bonus peripheral will be excluded).

      Cheers,
      BPC Team

      • I'll hold you to that :D I'm picking up my order today

  • All these parts minus GPU can be had for around $720-750 plus about $1900 ish for a 4080. Which puts it right about smack bang in retail cost. However if you don't want to build I guess this saves you having to put together yourself.

    • True.

  • -1

Great deal for those who are thinking of buying a 4080. How are the 12vhpwr cables managed? Looks like the glass side panel can't be on, with the bend above the card?

  • +1

A content creators version of this with the i5 swapped out for a Ryzen 9 and 32-64gb ram would be a winner.

    • Hi BobSac,

We can generate a quote for you based on your demand!

      Cheers,
      BPC Team

      • Nice, do I send an email?

        • +1

Sure, just leave us your name & email, and suburb if you want the PC delivered.

  • +1

So… any thoughts on this over my i7-2600k, 980gtx?

    lol

    • yes

  • @BPC Technology could you do an ITX build?

    • They have one in their kracken series, $2199 but with this code under $2k, 5600x and a 3070. I'm very tempted

      • Literally got beaten to one of them on Facebook marketplace recently. A 5900x and 6800xt. Same price as that pre build. Still shattered.

      • Good pick-up. I would jump on it but it would still be cheaper to make it on our own. I thought their pre-built would offer better price.

Additionally,I am thinking if I make one myself, I could upgrade to better MB with wifi ax, DDR5, 3070Ti or 3080, Gen 4 cable for the GPU, better cooling + AIO, and finally my favourite case Dan A4 H2O (NZXT H1 is amazing in terms of temps but on the slightly bigger end of ITX cases).

        What are your thoughts?

EDIT: Oh and Intel CPU, better for esports shooter games.

        • +1

Going through pcpartpicker you aren't likely to build cheaper yourself at the moment. Mainly because no sales on graphics cards 😕

        • Hi ar7ist,

We would like to do the quote for you based on your ideal specs!

          Cheers,
          BPC Team

  • What about that 3070 build you promised a few weeks ago?

    • +3

They said logistic issues with getting stock; wont be till next year

    • Hi Kessa,

Due to the delay of the overseas shipment, we have to delay the system's release.

We appreciate your patience, you are welcome to message us your budget and ideal specs, and we will see if we can work out one now!

      Cheers,
      BPC Team

  • @BPC Technology, any chance for a 3060 Laptop FHD deal (not QHD)? Thanks.

    • +1

      Hi Sinnerator,

The 3060 model sold out completely, but if there is any other gaming laptop you are interested in, we are happy to offer a holiday discount!

      Cheers,
      BPC Team

  • +2

Thanks OP for the 10% discount on offer until boxing day. Can you give us a heads up on the price for the 12th gen i9/3070 you propose for January? Like to get an idea compared to current offers such as the 12th gen i5/3080

    • +1

      Hi Cornbeef,

I just received the message from the product team, the new i9/3070 model should be slightly cheaper than the current i5/3080 PC, but the announced day of the new PC most likely happen in Late Jan.

      Cheers,
      BPC Team

      • Thank you.

      • Would it be cheaper than 1999 or 1799 the price with the discount code now.

  • Is there any chance of seeing a sub $700 6800 again?

    • +1

      Hi maverickjohn,

To be honest, not likely, as the chipset has been discontinued already.

      • Thanks. Looking for an egpu for my iMac and that seemed like the pick based on value of previous prices

  • If it was me, I'd save your money and take the time to build a futureproof PC, 7700X CPU, 3080 GPU, AM5 Socket Mobo and DDR5 RAM. Upgrade to a 4080 later when prices drop significantly. And would be probably save you $600-$700 over this deal.

    • +1

7600x and a 6900xt for $2519 with discount code, pretty decent?
      https://www.bpctech.com.au/product/sv-trinity-aa04-siren-vor…

      • for a Zen 4 AM5 socket build this is decent. The 6900XT is a decent card. This would be a much better choice in my opinion giving you the longevity of the PC, all you will have to do in the future is upgrade the GPU if you desire, everything else is good to go without having to upgrade anything else. If you don't want to build yourself then this is pretty good deal.

Edit: 7700X as I mentioned is obviously a better CPU being 8 cores and clock speed boost max of 5.4Ghz but if you buy pre-built sometimes you don't get a choice, 7600X is still decent and much better over the 5600X being Zen 4.

        • Thoughts on bpctech's 3080 build now that it's 10% cheaper?
          https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/746210

Not sure if it's value/somewhat future proofed incase I decide to upgrade certain parts in the future

      • I bought this exact build before the discount but they gave me a 7700x instead of a 7600x. Not sure if they did it on purpose but I'll take it!

    • So which desktop deal you recommend if you do not want to DIY. Time = money these days I no longer build PCs not worth it

  • This price is over my budget just under 2k for a med to high range would be nice similar to titan one

    • Their 3080 build is now $1799 with the discount code if that suits your needs

      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/746210

      • Right but why there’s like negs all over that post

        • It used to be $1999 which was a very underwhelming price. With the discount it's more competitive

  • Ah damn I knew I should have pulled the trigger on the https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/723635 months ago. Been eyeing it off but its moving in the wrong direction even with the 10% off. Maybe a $1000ish bargin in the new year for my cheap self. Happy Holidays!

  • +1

Is it possible to remove certain parts? I was planning on building my own PC, so I had already started to buy parts Samsung 980 Pro w/Heatsink 2 TB and Kingston FURY Beast 64 GB (2 x 32 GB) DDR5-5200 CL40 Memory. Can anything be done about this?

    • Hi Mani88,

Sure we can, let us know your name and email, and we can send you the quote based on your request.

      Cheers,
      BPC Team

  • Pretty good deal but I'd like to change some parts. If I ask for a quote for a custom pre-built, will I still receive 10% off?

    • They did it for me when I purchased a Pc 2 days before the sale.

  • +1

    Nice rig. But I'd probably like to see something like;

Recent deal ($3,499) no longer available on site, but with a 7900 XTX or 4080
    Kraken Power Centurion GeForce RTX 3090 Gaming PC V2 - Intel 13th Gen Core i7-13700K Unlocked LGA 1700 Desktop Processor - GeForce RTX3090 24GB - 32GB DDR5 5200MHz + 1TB PCIE 4.0 NVMe SSD - 2 Years Premium Warrant
    https://www.bpctech.com.au/product/kp-centurion-i01-geforce-…

Or maybe the 6900 XT rig (with a PCIE 5 motherboard and potential Intel variant)
Siren Vortex Trinity AMD RX 6900 XT Gaming PC - AMD Ryzen 5 7600X Processor - Radeon RX 6900 XT 16GB Video Card - 32GB DDR5 RAM + 1TB PCIE 4.0 NVMe SSD - 2 Years Premium Warranty
    https://www.bpctech.com.au/product/sv-trinity-aa04-siren-vor…

But with a 7900 XTX or 4080. I reckon if the prices were adjusted to new GPUs and PC10 was still available, this would bring the latter deal into an appealing $3104.10 7900 XTX set up (aka +$650 from 6900xt to a 7900 xtx, minus 10% off total price) or $3,392.1 (aka +$970 from 6900xt to a 4080, minus 10% off total price) for a 4080 setup (based on current website prices).

Understandably this is just a pipe dream, but it is the holiday period.

  • If only this includes Windows OS….

    • Hi!
We do offer Free Windows OS installation (unactivated)! We have just updated the option.

      • Thanks but it's not possible to include activation key in the deal right?

  • The price on your site is $3,069 - did the price go up again? :(

    • Try coupon code PC10 at checkout :)

  • Hello! Would it be possible to add the i5-13600k or kf as a CPU upgrade option?

    • Hi grmatt949,

For the Intel CPU upgrade, you need to upgrade the motherboard as well.

You can leave us your name & email also address if you want the PC delivered, our sales team will generate a quote for you based on the intel upgrade!

      Cheers,
      BPC Team

  • This or techfast deal? same gtx 4080 card build

  • Hey Bpc team

If I were to upgrade the cpu to the 5900x it says to upgrade the cooler but I don’t like any of those options. Would I be able to just order a different aio from your site and for it to be installed?

Also do you just send the pc as is or does the extra accessories that usually come with the parts also get shipped along?

  • Hii, I brought a PC from you guys, this deal to be exact. I realize after ordering that I will need 32 gig RM. Is it possible to add that option and pay the extra before shipping it? Please reply and let me know. Thank you, Happy New Year

    • Hi Mandlore,

Can you share the order number with us? I will ask the sales team to contact you shortly.

      Cheers,
      BPC Team

      • You have already sent out the PC xD So at least the service was fast and swift :) I haven't received it yet, 10th Jan
