Hey Oz Bargain Community,

This year's gone by in what seems like the blink of an eye. It's been another roller coaster year, but overall far more positives than negatives because you've been consistently terrific. Thank you so much for your continued orders, engagement and support, it really does mean the world to us!

Before we welcome in 2023 we thought we should do one final deal, so here we go :)

We're offering you a 40% discount off our entire currently available fresh coffee range, see details below:

1) Moments To Memories Blend, only $14.55 per 500g (usually $24.25 per 500g), and $25.50 per 1kg (usually $42.50 per 1kg)

2) Colombia Huila Single Origin, only $15.59 per 500g (usually $25.99 per 500g), and $27.59 per 1kg (usually $45.98 per 1kg)

3) Brazil São Paulo Single Origin, only $14.99 per 500g (usually $24.99 per 500g), and $26.39 per 1kg (usually $43.98 per 1kg)

4) Swiss Water Process Decaf, only $16.19 per 500g (usually $26.99 per 500g), and $28.79 per 1kg (usually $47.98 per 1kg)

Deal valid for orders placed until 27/12/2022, unless sold out before. You can pick from the available green circle dispatch dates on the cart page. Dispatch can happen for you as near as Wednesday (Monday/Tuesday are public holidays, so no delivery pick ups) and as far as the last Tuesday in February. Once a given dispatch date is at full capacity the green circle will be removed and date will turn red, first in best dressed :)

Some helpful info:

  • You're welcome to place multiple orders scheduled for dispatch at various dates (delayed dispatch) to make the most of this deal, we strive to dispatch our fresh coffee within 48 business hours of roasting
  • One dispatch per order, welcome to mix and match different varieties and quantities
  • If you select 500g as a quantity please ensure you also select 500g as the packaging option. If 500g is selected as a quantity with 1kg as the packaging selection the product will show as "unavailable"
  • 500g bag packing (it's resealable) is also available for orders larger than 500g this is an extra $3.60 per kg including the discount (normally $6 extra per kg) to cover the extra bag/s, label/s and time it takes to pack
  • Complimentary gift notes can be written in the "special instructions for seller" box on the cart page.
  • The largest bag size we use is 1kg and it has a zip (it's resealable), for example if you order 4kg with 1kg packaging you will receive 4 x 1kg bags, you will not receive a single huge 4kg bag.
  • VIC|NSW|QLD|TAS|NT Flat Rate Shipping $6.99 No Delivery Company Preference, $7.99 Shipit-Courier's Please, $8.99 Australia Post, $12.99 Express Post, Live Quote Shipping at the checkout for Same Day Delivery as Dispatch in VIC in the highlighted map areas https://files.ozbargain.com.au/upload/361387/95314/same_day_…
  • SA|WA Flat Rate Shipping $9.99 Express Post. Regular parcels travel to SA & WA via train. The recent floods have damaged the rail line to SA & WA and a freight train has derailed, as such we've been informed by Australia Post that standard delivery to SA & WA is currently not an option for the foreseeable future. Express Post travels by plane, so it's still a viable option. We understand some of our SA & WA customers would prefer our "$6.99 No Delivery Company Preference" standard shipping option. Our Express Post option is usually $12.99. As Express shipping has been forced on us and you as the only viable option to SA & WA for the moment, to make the best of this situation we've decided to split the price difference and offer our SA & WA customers flat-rate Express shipping for only $9.99

        • Hey @ShrewdOrJustTight appreciate you coming back to me. I can understand from your perspective it may be a black and white situation. However, there can be an element of grey (as per my previous response).

I will admit that it's going to be a little trickier to assess and troubleshoot the situation without a main piece of the puzzle missing (rock/concrete). Nonetheless, my previous response stands. If you would still like to troubleshoot this and have the time, please send us a reply email to your order confirmation with the information you do have access to, "photo of the burrs (in place and removed), make/model of your grinder and a quick video of the grinder in action."

You're welcome to keep posting replies here, but we can't effectively troubleshoot any orders on this forum, as we need more information (all order details, photos, video) and the best way to accurately and efficiently receive that information is via email. We learned the hard way a while back that it only takes a small typo (probably auto correct being its usual helpful self haha) from a customer to result in us looking at (and editing in that instance) the wrong order; a reply email to an order confirmation eliminates the chance for info typos :)

    • That's happened to me with other roasters before. It's surprising with the amount of processing the beans have that there's anything that slips through, but it's a natural product and it's bound to happen. The one that made me really wonder was when I opened a bag of beans and found large remnants of snail shell through the beans. No hints of escargot flavours, though!

      • Did you have to extract for longer? :-)

  • Still loving our Brazil São Paulo single origin.
I might give the Columbian a crack next time.

    • +1

Terrific to hear, music to my ears!

Nice call, it's good to mix it up every now and then, never know you may get lucky and discover a new favourite :)

  • Can't resist with the "Delayed Dispatch Opt" :)

    • haha sounds like not running out of fresh coffee is understandably a top priority for you, happy our unique delayed dispatch feature got you over the line :)

  • OP, I don't drink coffee. But my parents do.
I don't have a machine at home to make coffee. They currently use instant coffee granules.
What equipment will they need if they decide to buy your coffee?
Apologies, I'm a TOTAL NOOB at this.

    • +1

Sure thing, got to start somewhere and I'm glad you're looking this way!

Where to start comes down to balancing a few factors, including budget, convenience, quality, quantity, go to coffee style…I'll need a few quick questions answered relating to these factors. Would you like me to ask them here or would you prefer to get into them via email? If email, just send an email to [email protected] mentioning this comment and we'll go from there :)

  • Hey rep, which blend/single origin would you recommend for filter or immersion brews? Looking to brew with an aeropress, french press or kalita wave pourover. I usually prefer something that's lighter roast and has more acidic/fruit notes to it.

    • +1

Hey @Yoomes Bond appreciate you reaching out for my 2 cents worth, never hurts to check first :)

"Looking to brew with an aeropress, french press or kalita wave pourover." = all our options swill work really well

"I usually prefer something that…has more acidic/fruit notes to it." = hands down winner will be our Colombia Huila Single Origin

As such, I believe your best bet is our Colombia Huila Single Origin :)

  • Thanks for the deal, grabbed 500g of the Colombian for the end of January! That'll probably be more up my alley than the Brazilian, not that it's not great coffee. I will say that the deep, chocolatey flavour of it does complement milk very well. It's also really good as an iced coffee (I do a faux-Japanese iced with the AeroPress, pressing it directly over ice). Going to try an imitation iced latte tomorrow (same as above, just with some milk and up the dose of coffee).

I can definitely recommend the Brazilian if you like that kind of chocolatey, brown sugar, intense kind of coffee. The customer service is also top notch!

Hey @Diji fantastic to hear, thank you so much for placing another order with us and for that wonderfully detailed vote of confidence!

Sincerely appreciate your support and most welcomed feedback. Very happy we're in your good books, we'll keep working hard to stay there. Hope you love our Colombian SO :) :) :)

    Excellent reliable roaster 👌

    • +1

      Love it!

Think it'll be hard to find a better three word combo, as complimentary and informative as you've formed, thank you so much for your wonderful vote of confidence :)

  • Im looking for something bitter and high caffeine. What’s should I pick? I have a delonghi dinamica if that helps.

    • +1

I'm very glad you reached out!

All coffee has an element of bitterness, when balanced with other flavour characteristics most people find it pleasant. When bitterness is the predominant flavour characteristic it can be polarizing (love it or hate it). From your message I'm guessing you're asking which of our options is predominantly bitter in flavour? If my interpretation is correct then none of our options suit your request as we aim to balance bitterness as opposed to feature it. We roast omni/medium. Predominantly bitter coffees are usually darker roasts, Robusta (we only roast Arabica) and commodity grade coffee (we only use specialty grade). If you're open to trying something new, fantastic, just let me know the following and I'll point you in the right direction:

      1) What equipment do you use to make your coffee?
      2) How do you have it, espresso, long black, filter, milk based, dash of milk?
      3) Fruit 1 to Chocolate 10 Flavour Scale, in terms of flavour what would your ideal number be?
      4) Low 1 to High 10 Acidity Scale, in terms of acidity what would your ideal number be?

If you are set on what you like and that happens to be coffee with a bitter flavour focus, then as much as we'd love the opportunity to have you as a customer, I don't believe we're the ideal fit for you :)

  • Thanks OP. Grabbed 1KG each of São Paulo, Swiss Water and Colombia

    • Hey @Dr-Bargain what, no love for Moments to Memories, you're only one away for the set haha just pulling your chain :)

That's an outstanding trifecta order, thank you so much, your order really is so appreciated by the team!

  • The page for Brazil São Paulo Single Origin says it comes with a free Tim Tam.

If I order 4x bags will I get 4x Tim Tams?

    • @HomeAlone no. It only comes with 1 snack size tim tam. I've ordered multiple kgs in the past and I've only ever got 1 tim tam

      • +1

Hey @Sean8802 appreciate the answer assist and thank you so much for your continued orders, they really do mean so much!!!

    • Hey @HomeAlone nice question!

I've just updated that wording, it was there because that was the first coffee we used to trial the complimentary Tim Tam. At present the system is one free individually wrapped Tim Tam per order no matter which prodcut/s you order from us, with the following notion in mind https://limebluecoffee.com/pages/tim-tam-initiative%E2%84%A2 We think one Tim Tam at a time's good fishing :)

  • Thanks for the Christmas coffee deal OP! :)

I somehow missed the current FBC, so I've been missing your beans lately.

    • Hey @IamEzza sure thing, glad it's a winner for you!

Shucks, no good having you out of the fresh stuff, we're you just flat chat or are you not on our email newsletter list?

  • $9.99 shipping to SA is a bummer, but I get what OP is saying (re floods and damage to the rail line). A kilo of coffee + $6.99 would have been around the same price as Airjo's 1kg price, including their free express shipping.

    • -1

Hey @AussieDaddy I know shipping is not fun to pay, but really appreciate your understanding with the current situation, we're trying to make lemonade out of lemons. Due to the costs associated with the high quality coffee we stock we can't viably lower our one-time product Express shipping costs any further at present. Even at our $12.99 flat rate express shipping, there's certain orders in certain areas where we actually make a financial loss on those orders. It's just that we manage our margins based on average monthly shipping costs, which enables us to offer our subsidised flat rates. Good news is we're continually working hard to lower our shipping costs and pass these saving onto customers, hopefully you'll see another flat rate shipping cost drop in 2023 :)

  • Thanks, ordered a kilo of the Sao Paulo ground

    • Fantastic, thank you so much, your order really means a lot!

  • Great. Will need coffee shortly so have pulled the trigger on 1kg Memories Blend. Thanks for the offer.

    • +1

Sounds like it was meant to be, love when timing works out perfectly!

Really appreciate the order, thank you so much :)

      • All good. After reading all of the comments I've set up another order for end of Feb. For both single origins. Thanks again.

  • Ordered for the first time today, looking forward to giving it a go!

    • Wonderful, thank you so much for placing your first order with us, it really does mean so much and is an opportunity we won't take for granted :)

  • You won't be disappointed, Lime Blue probably does the best beans on Ozbargain.

    • WOW going to be hard to top that wonderful vote of confidence, thank you so much for that amazing show of support, it really does mean so much to us :) :) :)

  • Currently 500g into the Columbia and loving it.

Looking forward to the Brazil So!

    • Terrific to hear how much you're enjoying our fresh coffee, glad you're mixing it up on your way to trying all our options :)

Thank you so much for your continued support and sharing such fantastic feedback :)

  • Which one would you recommend for a cold brew?

    • Hey @Lookingforabargain thanks for reaching out to check!

"All of our options work well for cold brew from an extraction perspective, it comes down to your personal flavour preference. More chocolaty go for our Brazil SO, more fruity go for our Colombia SO, somewhere in the middle go for our Moments to Memories blend :)"

      • Great, thanks. Ground expresso or ground filter would you recommend for making the cold brew?

        • Sure thing, ground filter with an order note saying "cold brew" should be the winning combo for you :)

  • Pulled the trigger for 2kg after seeing the reviews and the delayed dispatch.

    • Outstanding, very happy to hear we've caught your eye!

Thank you so much for placing your first order with us, it's truly appreciated and we hope you love our fresh coffee :)

  • Ordered a grinder and an aeropress yesterday and so this is my first order of beans (Columbia). Can't wait to try them :)

    • Congrats on your new step up!

Fantastic, very happy you decided your first order of beans would be Lime Blue, thank you so much, hope you love our fresh coffee :)

  • Will try a Columbian, haven't ordered that before.
Have had M2M and Sao P S/Origin on regular order.
    Give that Columbian a try.
Delayed dispatch for the win….and service from Tom is top notch.

    • Woohoo for trying all the flavours!

Thank you so much for your continued orders with us, they really do mean so much to the team :)

Very happy to know our fresh coffee, unique scheduled dispatch system and service have landed us in your good books, we'll keep working hard to stay there!

  • Ordered Colombia. It tastes okay, but I still prefer Lavazzo.

  • @LimeBlueCoffee

    Hey Team

I bought 2kg of Brazil São Paulo beans late last year… I can not for the life of me get the right extraction. I have a Breville Barista touch and have nearly used 1kg of beans trying to get the right extraction (laugh at me lol). I have tried so many options but it is either sour or bitter. The only time it is not sour or bitter is when it's watery (obviously) which is a no go. I just don't know what to do … never had this issue with other beans

    • Hey @Puska thank you so much for your order, it really does mean so much to us!

I'm very glad you reached out, please know you don't need to persist for so long before reaching out, we're happy to help and there's usually a simple solution to get the extraction perfect :)

When you get a sec could you please send the following in a reply message to your order confirmation email:
      1) A photo of a handful of beans on a white surface e.g. white paper
      2) A photo of the coffee puck right after extraction while it's still in the basket
      3) A photo of the coffee puck right after extraction once it's knocked out of the basket
      4) A video of the shot extracting
      6) Also I'll need to know how much weight you're dosing and volume extracting, if not shown on the video

      • Thanks I will do that however I can’t find the email… probably deleted it. Ordered before Christmas for a dispatch of 29/12 I think it was.

I will email your generic email.

        • Sure thing, no stress, sounds like a plan :)

  • Hi Tom
Any deals upcoming for Decaf? Long time purchaser of your beans :)

    • Hey @Deal-Sniper appreciate you taking the time to reach out and thank you so much for being a long time Lime Bluer!

We will have a deal some time in January to kick off 2023, but we're still working out the details of when and what the deal will look like. We'll launch our next deal via our email newsletter, so it you're not already signed up now's a good time to join :)

  • Hi Tom,

I bought 1kg of Brazil SO from this deal delayed dispatch roast date 5 January order 25203. I bought this twice before and know the product aroma taste quite well even if I don't have the vocab to describe it. The product I arrived did not have the same chocolate notes, I thought it was COVID impacted senses but as they are returning everything else smells like it should but not these beans. Instead of being chocolatey and fruity, it tastes herbal (like Chinese medicine) and woody. The grind does not produce that aroma so I know it's not just a brew error (1:2 @18g ~25s).

I wanted to check if perhaps something changed with the beans or potentially a product mismatch.

    • Hey @boretentsu thank you so much for placing another order with us recently, it really does mean so much to the team!

Appreciate you taking the time to reach out. I can confirm nothing has changed, it's the exact same coffee with the same roast profile. Batches were cupped/tested, aroma, extraction and overall flavour was as per normal. There was no roasting last week as we took that week to regroup for the year ahead, so coffee roasted on the 5th has been my brekkie wake up cup since then. I'm no Doctor, but a friend is so I know Covid sometimes has a lingering impact (understand you said most other aromas are getting back to before you got Covid)…but let's double check all the same. The beans are distinctive compared to our other offerings, so I'll be able to tell that you received exactly what you ordered from a photo. If that is the case, then we'll have a quick chat about your equipment. Please send a reply email to your order confirmation with a photo of a handful of beans on a white piece of paper and we'll go from there.

      p.s. ~25s is a bit short it's best to aim for 27-28 seconds :)

      • photos provided. I kept the packet from the prev purchase and included in the photo

        https://ibb.co/vXs1zdv
        https://ibb.co/VYg9LYL

        • Appreciate the photos :)

You're welcome to keep providing feedback here, but if it's resolution you seek, we need an email so we have the full picture to refer to. The photo you have provided is of our Brazil SO, the colour looks inline with the profile intended and we've done our usual testing of batches as previously mentioned. I've got some ideas of how to narrow down whether the cause is lingering Covid after effects or it's to do with the extraction. When you get a sec could you please send the following in a reply message to your order confirmation email:
          1) A photo of the coffee puck right after extraction while it's still in the basket
          2) A photo of the coffee puck right after extraction once it's knocked out of the basket
          3) A video of the shot extracting
          4) The make and model of your equipment

          • @LimeBlueCoffee: thanks, will progress via email

              • @LimeBlueCoffee: Thanks for helping me troubleshoot my dial in. I think your directions have slightly improved it but I can confirm the main driver was probably covid loss of smell as some known local roasters also tasted flat. It's improving slowly every few days.

                • @boretentsu: You're most welcome @boretentsu I'm very happy my input was helpful and that we'll solved the mystery!

Really appreciate you sharing the updated feedback and I hope your sense of smell is back to normal soon :)
