          SB credit card fraud prevention algorithm is rather peculiar. They seem to impose a rather personalised limit depending on your account usage. I have been able to use more cards in a certain period of time on more active/older accounts.
          I also noticed sometimes if you are persistent enough, SB will accept a card on the 2nd or the 3rd try.

      Yes. I’ve had both online and instore refunds processed onto a Coles Mastercard gift card.

      For the last instore refund I had processed to a Coles Mastercard gift card, it took five business days for the refund amount to become available. (I think it was five business days. It definitely wasn’t fast, and there was no indication on the balance check portal that there was a pending refund being processed.)

    tried buying woolworths gift card through woolworths mobile website and they not accepting this gift card anymore (though i managed to buy 1 in the morning) …. ! tried all 5 different numbers and none was accepted by woolworths …

    anyone has same issue ?

    one card was charged by members benefit and then they send email saying it is suspesious so we have to block it (bastards) … !!! so i have to wait for refund … !!!!!

      Woolworths Group do not officially accept prepaid cards as a payment method on the Woolworths Group gift card portal, but the way in which they implemented their checks were previously inconsistent.

      Have you tried the PayPal trick? In other words, link the Coles Mastercard gift card to a PayPal account and then choose PayPal as the payment method when checking out of the Woolworths Group gift card portal, ensuring you select your Coles Mastercard gift cards as the funding source when you reach the PayPal screen.

        i didn't know about paypal trick so i end-up using all $1000 between council rates, electricity credited, water credits, kmart using members benefit website before they stopped and blocked my payment for second card on coles … ! so i have $200 on dispute with members benefit website (HCF thank you) which will get back to me in 5 days to tell me whether they will accept payment or refund !!!

        if woolworth block this then need to re-think how to use them if and when $250 10% discount deal comes back … !

          Unsurprisingly, Woolworths Group have been cracking down on people using Coles Mastercard gift cards as a payment method within the last month or two. It kinda makes sense when they see there has been a flood of transactions on their portal paid for with unverifiable prepaid Mastercard gift cards since June 2022.

          Wait, so you purchased one gift card using one Coles Mastercard gift card on the gift card portal, then tried to purchase another gift card not long after using a different Coles Mastercard gift card?

          I would expect the portal to do that, because two transactions using two different prepaid gift cards in quick succession can be viewed as someone trying to use stolen cards to fraudulently obtain gift cards, so the fraud detection system would have kicked in to stop the second transaction, especially since both cards are unverifiable (i.e. the portal cannot verify whether the cardholder is the one attempting to make payments).

          I know this advice is a little late now, but you probably should have waited a day before attempting a second transaction on the portal. I previously managed to have my HCF Thank You account blocked one time for trying to do three transactions using three different prepaid gift cards in the same week, and it took a 20 minute phone call for me to get access back.

    A few months ago, I was able to use Coles MC to purchase Woolworths gift cards via RAC WA website.
    Not sure if the WW mobile website is the same portal as the RAC one. Has anyone tried the RAC sites recently?
    Would want to use or convert these Coles MC asap to avoid being hacked.

          for me biggest advantage of this card is to use for woolworths gift cards as i get 10% monthly woolworths discount due to mobile phone with woolworths so if i buy 4% discounted woolworths gift card using this 5% discounted credit card then my total discount end-up being around 18% (+/-) which is massive return on investment for me !

          i never used woolworths but since woolworths started this monthly 10% discount on grocery i rarely visit Aldi or Coles..> !

          anyways, before someone else use my card for massage (hack) i decided to pay my electricity bill to keep it in credit with net discount of 4.88% (roughly) as bastards charges for card processing fees… !

          don't leave gift card without usage for a day as there is no guarantee someone might hack this so use as you buy them on same day preferably.

    @WookieMonster & @SydBoy Bought 5 x $100 Coles MC. Converted 4 to other gift cards.
    RAC website has an online shop outage warning and initially couldn't get onto WW gift card page. Tried again later and managed to buy 1 x $100 WW gift card using PayPal with a Coles MC as preferred payment.
    This is the first time I had to use PayPal. I wasn't able to purchase WW gc with Coles MC directly on WW website.
    Had the same message as SydBoy - "Something went wrong. Our system is temporarily unavailable. Your card hasn't been charged. Please try again later".
    15 minutes later, I added another Coles MC to PayPal but wasn't able to purchase the second WW gc.
    Received an email from WW - "Unfortunately we are unable to complete your request… A refund has been issued to your PayPal account and may take up to 10 business days for the funds to appear".
    I think it would be refunded to the Coles MC. Not showing yet.
    I just saw WookieMonster's advice about not using different prepaid gift cards on the same day. WW seem to have updated their security on their portal as I didn't have these issues a few months ago.
    The good news is I was able to use the remaining $300 to buy Amazon, Super Swap and Health & Beauty Swap gift cards from ShopBack, and received the cashback within minutes.

      Strange thing happened to me too BUT only for the one card that was declined by a merchant. I can check the balances of the other Coles MC cards I have leftover with no issues.             @WookieMonster: I didn't opt in but was automatically changed over to digital vouchers a few months ago. I rang Flybuys to change back to paper. It was not possible as Flybuys are changing everyone over to digital eventually.
            Early this year, I accidentally changed to digital vouchers but was able to return to paper vouchers, for a few months.

          Did you notice that your separate transactions at Coles were all grouped together in the transaction history of your Flybuys account? I have never seen that before.

          It doesn't matter for the gift cards, but I think it has created an issue for me. I also did some regular grocery shopping for $60 to activate a 2400 point $60 spend and 500 point $50 spend offer. However it lumped that separate transaction in with the separate gift card transactions and I didn't receive those points (only the gift card points).

      Did you try via PayPal? It worked once for me for the first card. I didn't dare attempt again after the refund on the second card. Too much stuffing around.         I am specifically after woolworths card and shopback doesn't sell them now for paypal i have not tried but this last gift card that i hold was rejected by woolworths few times so i won't try paypal but last resort is to use them for ALDI and get 5% discount on cheapest grocery they sell :) (if it works)… !

          Not sure if it will work but could try adding the Coles MC to Everyday Pay in the Rewards App as the bank card. 3% off WW gc - ends today. Still available to purchase on my app.

          It didn't work for my card as my Coles MC has zero balance.
          $0.01 will be deducted and refunded immediately.
          A few months ago, I was able to add the Coles MC as the card for payment for Everyday Extra.
          P.S. Since early Dec, the app is unable to accept some credit and debit cards. I'm unable to add a few of mine. I add and remove cards according to offers and can't add at the moment. Already reported glitch to Rewards staff.

            I tried to add a prepaid gift card to Everyday Pay as soon as I was included towards the end of the trial, and it did not work, because Everyday Pay actually mandates a credit or debit card to support 3-D Secure before it can be added to an Everyday Pay wallet.

      I think HCF Thank You still accepts prepaid Mastercard gift cards, and they sell Woolworths gift cards at a 4% discount (although there is also a 1% payment fee).

      Most gift card portals will not accept prepaid Mastercard gift cards, because they do not support 3-D Secure and are not tied to a specific bank account, so they will show up as a less secure payment method when compared with most debit or credit cards.

        when i try to register a card it says "invalid card" when i try to check the balance it says "system error" so not sure what do i do to make sure i check and use them or at-least find out if they were used or not ?

            now, i have one flybuy account but it has additional family member added to it so basically everyone got their own flybuy card with different number … and we all bought use our own cards but guess what only one member (1st one) got 50,000 points for 5 cards and no one else got any member ?? :(

            what should i do now ? has anyone got similar experience ?? this is very bad actually we paid coles $105 to get $100 on remaining cards… :( :( feel like someone stole my money :( :(

                @whtsthenews: my apology … just upset so much so can't concentrate … we got 10,000 points not 50,000… i can't amend comment above… however we had bought about 10 cards on 2 using two flybuy cards with different number but they wre connected as family…. :(

                this is like cheating actually because coles flybuy encourage people to add family member so combine points can be used by all but never thought this is how they going cheat people and if this is the rule then @RichardL we should be writing this condition on all deals so people can separate their family members from flybuys account to avoid similar issue.

    Finally got one of these cards added to SB again (on the second attempt). So it is still possible to add them, just doesn’t always accept first go as they used to (has taken me numerous attempts in total of late to get another added). Too many tries and the card gets locked out for 24 hours.

    Anyway, bought some more $100s tonight, will use to buy TCN Gift cards from Woolies starting tomorrow.
