Audio-Technica ATH-A700 for $115AU (Shipping Included)

110

Found this great deal from Buydig.com, $85US + shipping to Australia which ends up at $115AU total. Seems very good considering it is normally above $150 (RRP $299). Check out http://www.cnet.com.au/audio-technica-ath-a700-339335121.htm for an Australian review.

Also noted from comments: It is Factory Refurbished. The shipping is 4-7 days International shipping.

It's Factory Refurbished, just in case anyone thought it was new. If that's fine with you, good deal I suppose.

  • Refurbished and I got $112 inc post, its probably is cheaper when taking in the exchange rate.

  • The open pair (AD700) is $6 more at $121. http://www.buydig.com/shop/product.aspx?sku=ATATHAD700
It's too bad Amazon don't have them for $105 shipped anymore.

  • Looking for some new cans.

    Just bought a STX.

Which of these two would be better?

For $6 new they seem a lot better considering they're new.

    Any help appreciated.

    Mainly music(metal) and gaming.

    • The A700 are more pricey from what I can tell. But depends on what you want, closed means closed off and people can't hear your stuff, and maybe the open ones are more lighter too. But if you do get the AD700 then they might be cheaper elsewhere anyway.

      • Yeah, looking at http://headphones.com.au.

        Audio Technica:
        ATH-AD700
        $149.00

        Audio Technica:
        ATH-A700X
        $299.00

Not sure what the X means.

The A700 has been discontinued and has been replaced by the A700X.

        • Ah, thanks!

    • Also, will you use these headphones on the go? There is no comparison between the two in terms of portability.

    • If you like bass at all go for the A700.

Otherwise the AD700 are very good. Can't realy go wrong with either (except the bass thing).

  • Ooops. Double post.

  • Get the AD700 if you don't mind other people being able to hear your music. The quality is way, way ahead of the A700.

Thats too bad, I picked up a pair of $300 headphones on ebay for $40, bought some new foam pads and covers from china for $5 and after 2 years I can report I have not contracted any disease from the previous owner….Phew!

      • disease wise i think you'll be fine, im not sure that there are many ear-to-ear diseases out there, but it would weird me out nontheless
