Remember the time when Xiaomi used to be a good value for money phone. These days trying to sell you a phone with Mediatek CPU for $655 when you can have Google Pixel 6a for $495.
Better CPU in the Xiaomi. Just a terrible exchange rate. Poco and Redmi is where their budget phones shifted to.
Yes, 8100 Dimensity is marginally better in raw benchmarks but not in machine learning capabilities of Tensor. That's just one aspect though, one would buy Google for peace of mind regular updates and their app ecosystem.

@Clear: Agree, Mediatek have really picked up their game in last 3-4 years and I won't be surprised if they do to Qualcomm what AMD did to Intel in recent years.
