        • Westpac Debit Mastercard
There’s no annual card fee for your Debit Mastercard, however account keeping fees may apply.

          • @tlai: Yeah i had a westpac accounts in the past. By fee-free I meant the $5 monthly fee, and the overdrawn fee would hurt if you miss a direct debit etc ($9 used to be bad enough, now $15). Citi plus debit is a lot better with fees in general, so no point moving. I just noticed it seems like a lot of recent cashbacks though.

            Cheers,

        • +1

          Any consumer card*

        • Yes, they have 2. The monthly fee is waived. One if you are under 30 and the second if you are over 55 and retired.

          • @Yola: Do you know if the monthly fee applies to the month you sign up?
I signed up in December. Not sure if I need to do the $2K dance this month or starting next year.

One if you are under 30 and the second if you are over 55 and retired.

CBA has a student option to avoid the monthly fee, but it looks like Westpac doesn't.

EDIT: Westpac does have a student option but you have to verify at your local branch, but not sure if they will allow part-time tertiary students.

          • -1

@Yola: as long as $2000 deposited per month.
not really insterested in another daily account.

            • @G-rig: can you deposit and withdraw the $2000 for it to still count?

CR seems to be sleeping through Boxing Day sales compared to SB. One way to make up is giving us a similar offering for Amazon for all categories 😏

    • Well SB has hot new bank funding while CR probably doesn't. At least CR tracks.

      • +2

        At least CR tracks.

And they are much more transparent with their bonus challenges.

One of the eBay challenges have completely disappeared on Shopback. Still no answer on this one.

        • Yep same for me…disappeared!!

      • CR was acquired by ANZ, they are just being stingy

Rep - All advertised coupons will be stackable with Cashback.

    Advertised where ?

Advertised on SB website? Advertised at the top of My eBay? Advertised on the eBay launch page? Advertised on a personalised eBay email?

Generic codes and unique codes ?

    • Would love to get someone to write up an answers list including the answer to this one ^^

So would it be something like if I used my Westpac card.

To maximise if I could use a 10% off eBay code (random % guess)

Buy $130 eBay gift card from shop back with 2.5% off (save $3.25)

      Item/s value is $150
      10% off with eBay code = $135 (save $15)
Use gift card value $130 plus $5 from Westpac card to get Cashback of $20 plus Westpac Cashback off $13.50

Total discount is like $51.75 on a $150 face value transaction?
And I can rinse and repeat this as many times as I want!?

      • I did something similar and paid $9 with Westpac. I got shopback Westpac notification for $.90 cashback tracked for Westpac.

        • O.O. Maybe the risk ain’t worth the $5

        • Got 3 shopback tracking emails for $20 (15% eBay ) 14.31 (10% Westpac) and 2.86 (x% God knows what)

          • +1

@TheMills: I think the last $2.86 is the extra 2% campaign for Westpac with eBay that's been running for like 1-2 weeks

  • Can I participate? My finger is getting itchy. lol.

@gotyourback I have the code SNSMD2XXX for Spend and save upto $120, does this code eligible for cashback transaction?

    • +2

@gotyourback Also want to know if SNSDEC can be used with this CB? This is ebay published code but not listed in SB

      • SB don't list any Ebay codes

    • +1

      Want to know as well

    • +2

same here Spend and Save up to $120 code

  • +1

I'm assuming the spend xx get yy codes this month are valid. I'm buying something over $1000 and get a code for $120 off . Assuming it is still there. It said expires end of month, but t &c says they can pull it any time
I held off to see what today's great deal for ebay was as per gotyourback hinting yesterday

  • +3

damn, I can't wait till 5pm, the item I want is the best price through Appliances Online (on their ebay store - with ebay discount $120 voucher) but only 2 left and 2 have sold in the last 24 hours, so…and I need this large ticket item…sigh, oh well, only losing out on around $36-$38 max anyway (due to fact I will pretty much pay with 4% discounted gift cards)

    • +2

where you get 4% discounted ebay gift card ?

    • did you by any chance talked to appliance online today about what you wanted to buy ? as if they know ebay discount with shopback and gift card allowing people to buy even cheaper then they will remove the quantity from ebay …. had bad experience in past … !

      • +2

I have already purchased, and already have a tracking number, as I knew that there were limited quantities both on ebay and their online store. It is a reverse cycle air con and there have been sales of those over the last few days due to the hot weather starting (finally). Our Fujitsu is on the way out after approx 20+ years (prob not worth trying to get it fixed) so we needed a replacement wall/box style to just take one out and put one in (easier than trying to fill the hole and getting a split system)…their price was cheaper than pretty much anywhere else, even before the $120 off through ebay, plus free shipping….didn't want to miss out altogether just to save a few extra $$ after 5pm….and I bet they might still have one in stock then, but, a bird in the hand, as they say.

  • Can I get cash back on something I've won through the auction?

    • +1

Not auction or best offer. Has to be Buy It Now.

  • +1

Would cash back work on monthly $5 off voucher? Also, can I pay with eBay gc?

    • You can pay with eBay gc. Not sure about using the personal $5 off voucher.

  • Could anyone share where do they buy discounted ebay giftcards from? I'd like to make a purchase today

  • +3

A lot of questions about voucher code eligibility. As @ash2000 has mentioned, @gotyourback needs to clarify or post a FAQ. It's way too vague currently.

  • Waiting on a similar sitewide deal for Amazon

  • +1

Am I allowed to buy ebay gift cards off shopback app for the 2.5% cashback AND also get 15% from this? So all up $45 cashback from a $1000 purchase.

    • +1

Yes you could in two separate transactions

      Buy $1000 gift card - $25 cashback

Use gift card on eBay site - $20 (capped) cashback

      • Thank you, hopefully applying the ebay code for $120 off is also allowed. Kinda skeptical because it's more of a targeted coupon rather than a 'advertised coupon'.

  • +1

How can I see a list of generic codes? If I look on My eBay I only see my personal vouchers …. those with a string of mixed characters like PLUS5xxxxxxxxx. I am assuming the "published" codes will be shorter and sort of readable.

  • -2

so the maxium OZB purchase amount is 20/0.15+20/.1=$333.33?

    • +1

$133 to get the full cashback from SB

    • well my bad, it's $200 for westpac customers.

      • Yep, that's an easy one!

  • +2

I want to order some items from Big W on eBay. The $10 and over items have free shipping with Plus but no matter how many cheaper items you order, even adding up to $50 you cannot get free shipping. If you add an item that has free shipping it still charges for the one that does not. At least only one charge of $7.90. Peters of Kensington seems to do this too. Seems silly and has stopped me from purchasing. Does anyone know a way around this?

    • I have noticed this being a frequent annoyance too. In addition to annoying multi variant listings with an item that is unrelated to the item you are searching for so it appears cheaper.

  • How does it work when I need the seller to combine shipping charge before paying?

    • doesn't.

  • What items on eBay are excluded ?

    • +3

Cashback Not Eligible for Charity and non-profit items, eBay Plus membership & Travel

  • I got the Ebayplus $20 off with soending more than $120, will this invalidate this 15% cashback? Thanks.

  • +12

@gotyourback Can you please clarify what “advertised codes” means before the promo starts? Multiple queries in the comments here, without a clear answer. Cheers 👍

  • Hi all , Can someone confirm if TGG does price match with other retailers? I tried calling the sales team twice today and the phone gets disconnected after like 10-15 minutes. Also can we use the super swap to purchase goods in store ? I don’t want to change my super swap to TGG if they don’t accept those in store. I have 30$ off coupon from them that i can use only in store. The price difference is 46$ if i buy it from ebay via this deal and so really want to use my coupon in store and save my ebay coupons for future use. Thanks

  • Is it started? Thought it's 4pm EST?

  • valid only for one transaction or multiple transactions?

    • +1

Quote from GYB: This one's capped per transaction, not per customer, just remember to exit eBay and click through to them from ShopBack again in between purchases so each one can track.

      • Thanks, mate.

Requesting OP or oz friend to provide answers to below questions posted above by fellow oz friends. Thanks

    1. Will this CB works if I use $25 voucher I had recieved for $150 spend through ebay earlier
    2. Will this CB works if I use $10 voucher, i had recieved for $90 spend through ebay earlier
    3. Will this CB works if i convert $150 prezzee gift card to ebay gc to purchase any item now
    4. Will this CB stack if i buy ebay gift card through shopback app now?

      1. Dunno for sure yet, we're waiting on rep to confirm
      2. Dunno for sure yet, we're waiting on rep to confirm
      3. Yes, it's just a payment method. If you pay with it (between 5-9pm AEDT), you'll get the cashback, but no Westpac bonus
      4. Yes, it's just a payment method. If you pay with it (between 5-9pm AEDT), you'll get the cashback, but no Westpac bonus
  • Does ebayplus $80 sign up bonus stack with this?

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/730490

  • Price jacking started by some sellers. Wth

    • I doubt SB's cashback offer would have caused that. Outside OzBargain, most wouldn't even know this promo is running. It isn't like the 15% (or more) is coming out of a seller's margin.

      • Wireless one, Sydneytec all jacked up the Openrun Pro price at the hour mark.

        They were $209.

But luckily the other one didn't. Finger crossed SB track this one.with the eBay plus code. $15 off.

Good ole eBay. A heap of items didn't arrive since October (used my Prime sign up voucher)..

Got a "refund". eBay kept the refund as I used MY sign up voucher.

SCUM of a company. Consumer affairs doesn't apply.

I contacted chat, said they will escalate it and see if a supervisor can do anything. Heard nothing.

So DONT ever ask for a refund if you use a voucher. I'd prefer the seller to keep the $$ than eBay.

  • Is cashback eligible on "OFFER RECEIVED from seller" items? It is a Buy It Now listing, without any "or best offer". Assume it is but would like confirmation.

  • +4

Looks like ANY code is accepted (from SB eBay Notes):
“Cashback is eligible for all eBay purchases with or without the use of Coupon Codes on 27.12.2022 from 5.00pm to 9.00pm AEDT”

    • +1

Just waiting on a confirmation if vouchers will still be eligible, as the T&C at the bottom says it may result in purchase being ineligible

      • Have you been able to find any confirmation? I'm still holding on because on my page it specifically says "Unless otherwise stated, using any coupon codes towards your order will not qualify you for cashback."

Edit: Confirmation only shows in the phone app: https://i.imgur.com/kEajKG9.png

        • Yes but scroll down to the T&Cs and it says 'using any voucher may result in no cashback'

          Pretty suspicious

          • @Sublimit: Yeah, that’s why I’ve held off…

    • Can you please screenshot this? I can't find it.

  • Any general discount codes to use, to maximise savings (in addition to 15% cashback?)
    :O

  • Thanks op, made a $140 purchase with my westpac card , now the waiting game

  • +3

Westpac bonus (which came through near instantly) doesn't appear to be tracking at 10%. Hopefully they'll fix it.

    • Same here

    • Yeh mine tracked at like 4%?

    • Did you pay fully with a Westpac card or was it partial payment?

      • Westpac and gift card.

        $139 was a westpac card

      • All Westpac in my case.

    • I think that's the base 2% bonus from Westpac that isn't a part of this flash sale

    • I paid $115 with card and got tracked for $0.71 :(

    • I don't even see any tracking… spent $200. guess have to wait

  • when this promo will end?

    • -1

      9 pm AEST

      • +1

thanks. don't know why take down GYB's the post, where has all the information..this is just a title but nothing…

        • +1

FYI the end time is mentioned in this deal post under the referral links box. I agree though the original info from the actual rep should have carried over by the mods, regardless if dealbot bet the actual rep by 19 seconds …

          27 Dec 9:00pm Today

      • Are you sure that it's 9pm AEST? It's showing up as 8pm AEST for me, which is 9pm AEDT

        • Yep - with the OzB account set correctly, it should show in the local time zone (I'm in Adelaide, so it says 8:30PM for me)

          • @highwind: That means that it is 9pm AEDT and NOT 9pm AEST.

            • +1

@GreenLego: Sorry I'm in Perth. First time I heard of AEDT.

            • +1

@GreenLego: Oh, my "yep" was in agreement to your statement (i.e. AEDT), not the "are you sure" part - sorry for the confusion!
