Had a pair of these scissors for well over 10yrs, included in my Mundial knife block set.

They've lasted great, just the red button fell off after a few years (probably from mrs putting in the dishwasher), still work fine though as it's just a cover for the nut.

Same as well, ours has lasted for over 10 years and red button fallen off but doesn't affect function

My parents gave me theirs which they used for over a decade. I’ve been using it for many years still!

just a cover for the nut.

Like a MAGA cap, even the same colour!

    • Mine are also 10 years old, I still got the red button.

    • I would love to get a second pair of these scissors. My dad got me this knife set many years ago. The red button also fell off.

    • Red button also fell off after a couple of years and nut has gone a bit rusty .
Other than that , they still look like new .

FYI the red dot is plastic with the new version. It's no longer metal.

Feel lucky to have a metal red dot on mine!

  • An awesome pair imo. Quite a sharp one at that but I guess I was only used to blunk kindergarten scissors to cut my roasts xD

    Same price on Amazon https://amzn.asia/d/4Bx6oaT

    • Thanks, bought the Mundial 666

Thanks - grabbed a pair. These might be the older design with the metal logo judging by the pics

Edit: According to reviewers, they aren’t.

What is Hand wash recommended? You have to wash hands before use it what a scissors with fancy name?

    • +1

It means wash them by hand rather than in the dishwasher

      • Never thought scissors/knifes can be washed in dishwasher

When did we stop calling these scissors?

  • EBay OOS

  • These scissors came in my mundial block around 20 years ago and still going strong.

Be aware the quality is not the same anymore, check out negative reviews detailing this on Amazon

Can confirm, compared these with my mother’s 10+ years pair and the quality isn’t the same. Still decent though

  • Sold out on eBay and Amazon is $22.18.

  • +1

It's $14.95 at Victoria's Basement, if you can C&C without much hassle. https://www.victoriasbasement.com.au/p/mundial-multi-purpose…

Same price on their eBay store but $9 shipping.

  • I have a pair from almost 20 years ago and still going strong. The red dot is still there although it hardly ever goes into the dishwasher (and only gentle cycles if they ever go in). Bought another pair about 2 years ago. They’re definitely not quite the same but still excellent. For this price, I wouldn’t hesitate recommending them.

  • Is it normal that this will separate into two pieces very easily when you open it wide.

  • It's made in China now, not that there's any wrong, just to help explain the constant low price.

    "Origin PRC" very subtle.
