this could almost be the $aaaAAAAAAle of the Century

Awesome, just did it, super easy, they email it through, make sure you check a list of participating stores as not all stores accept the voucher.

Looking forward to spending mine, seems to be no minimum spend.

NOt bad. They are generally overpriced, but $20 discount should make something good value.

Howard's Storage is seriously overpriced. A dustbin costing can cost $400. Although they claim it has a 10 year warranty I expect a $400 dustbin to turn my garbage into electricity for the price. Problem is it doesnt!

For you Nespresso fans, they have some decent pod holders from $5 with the voucher…I went for a flip out bin solution ($10 with voucher) - holds over 100 pods:

so if I bought a blender from this shop would it be referred to as "offshore processing" ?

  • Is it easy to use the vouchers instore?
    Didnt see any instructions.

    • check your email:
"Remember this has been electronically added to your account, so from tomorrow, when you next visit your local Howards store our staff can simply apply the voucher against your purchase."

maybe take your membership number in?

      • Ah cheers.
Guess you need to write down your membership number and bring it or perhaps a phone or tab.

      • Hope it's that easy

  • Remember this has been electronically added to your account, so from tomorrow, when you next visit your local Howards store our staff can simply apply the voucher against your purchase.

They are INSANELY overpriced. They are the hermes of home utilities minus the prestige

  • You also have an amazing opportunity to WIN a family Holiday to Castaway Island Fiji.

"Every new member this month will automatically be entered into the competition to win this inspirational family holiday."

    I hope I win!

What's good to buy there? Anything that's worth buying haha?

if your not near a store, its about $10 delivery and there are somethings to be had under $20, but only bits and pieces,

http://hsw.com.au/index.php?rooms (for the general e shop)

http://hsw.com.au/index.php?subcategory&id_cat=29&id_dept=10… kitchen category seems to have the best choices

    also this looks interesting http://hsw.com.au/index.php?product&id_prod=1762&id_cat=29&i…

  • On signing up to Howards program late last year it was a $10 credit applied. Looks like its now increased to $20, or it maybe a limited time offer for the $20.

    • good cause, not single male friendly though:p

  • Inspirations members may redeem valid vouchers during the checkout process. Postage costs will be charged separately and cannot be redeemed by vouchers.

    I keep getting a service error. .

    • +1

I got that in store all the time….

  • got this 3times already with different family members. howard is overpriced in almost all items. not worth another effort

  • +3

Overpriced is an understatement. I remember buying some chrome shelving from Bunnings a few years ago for $99 - a few weeks later I saw the same item at Howards for $299. I couldn't resist and mentioned it to the sales assistant. His reply? "Ah yes but we assemble it for you". My reply? Not here on a family friendly site.

  • Can you combine the vouchers with other family members say 4 people = $80 off an item?

  • I wouldnt waste my time. This shop is famous for 700%+ mark ups. The most overpriced chain store in the world.

  • my local howard's just closed, and as mentioned in previous posts, HUGE mark-up and they would never price match, ever.

  • anyone have use the voucher yet? no minimum spending, right? but cannot combine vouchers?

  • This place is my mother-in-law's favorite shop and is geared towards people like her who just buy stuff they like without really looking at the price tag

    • really now. ur a store rep huh?

    • Gina…… Is that you?

      • She works at the diner, not Howard's.

    • the type who don't look at price tags are nowhere near as bad as the snobs who wouldn't be seen dead buying something that's been discounted :\

  • Not everything is completely overpriced. There are SOME things that are somewhat reasonable. Hey as long as I can redeem my $20 voucher(s) on items not more than $20 I'm happy.

    • +2

True, some are really cheap. Mostly staff's salary….

  • ohh this offer reminds me of Border bookshops. They dis the same thing =)

    • and Rebel Sport

  • there's a nice storage container i bought a while back for $19.95 to house my smart fortwo 1:87 model car display tower. it fits so perfectly :)

This month only we are offering our NEW Inspirations members double the value Welcome Vouchers – That's $20 just for joining, along with an amazing opportunity to WIN a family Holiday to Castaway Island Fiji. Every new member this month will automatically be entered into the competition to win this inspirational family holiday.

thats why its $20 when it says $10…

  • Hmm i havent received my voucher .. but im wondering :

    • On the front page, one of the terms is :
"Receive a $10 voucher for every $200 you spend at Howards."
Although this deal is $20, it sounds like you might need to spend the $200 before they give you a $20 voucher.

    • On the FAQ :
      How do I earn vouchers?
Howards Inspirations Members will earn a $10 voucher with every $200 spent. Transactions can be accumulated over time from any participating HSW store.

I hope im wrong, and i hope its an incentive to sign up , rather than the ability to earn $20 (i.e. another $10 on top of the normal $10) for every $200 spent!

    • Two different things. As per the website, under https://howardsinspirations.com.au/M_Benefits.asp

      Reward Vouchers:
Receive a $10 Welcome voucher# when your account is activated
Be rewarded with a $10 Reward voucher^ for every $200 spent

  • Just bought some crap at HSW just like everyone said lots of cashed-up grannies shopping there. Guess they like their stuff organized.
Easy to use the voucher, just tell them yr details and they'll search it and do the discount.
    Cheers OP.

    • did they match up your id? ie can i use friend's voucher?

      • Nope they didn't ask for any.
Just the email and phone number. Probably depends on the checkout person though because it says you need to show ID on the website.
I'd say go easy though, pretty nice deal at the moment. ;)

  • anyone else told when redeeming the voucher that it can only be used on purchases over $20?
