Maybe they share the same mother back in China.
Kmart reveals how much you have to pay for Anker brand premium…

      • Different QC sticker for higher quality

        • Maybe, but for $8 vs $23, I would expect Anker one lasts 2 times longer than Kmart one…

        • QQQC!

    • I thought I wanted the MX Vertical so I tried the Kmart one. Sticker price is $12 but it scanned at $8 for me so it was a cheap experiment. I gave it a week but just couldn't get used to it. Clicking was uncomfortable and long sideways drags where you have to lift the mouse it would slide out of my hand. It also doesn't have free spin and side scrolls but that's expected at the price point. I went back to my MX Master 2.

    These aren't very good btw.
I used one for work briefly and I'd pick a cheapo razer mouse anyday.

    • +2

      What's good then?

It's probably worse than Logitech's vertical mouses, but for $8 at kmart or even $23 on Amazon - it's great to try how you go with a vertical one.

That's exactly what I did. Picked up at Kmart for $8 to see if I can get used to the ergo style as I use CAD on the PC for my job. Will use for a couple of weeks and if it feels comfortable with the same accuracy as I normally have, then I'll get the Logitech Lift

        • picked up the Kmart version, it's too lightweight and kept swiping off the table … i think the Logitech lift would feel more solid and weighty. haven't tried Lift yet. still using MX anywhere 2 that refused to die after 5 years …

          • @rjams23: You could open it up and glue lead weights into it like logitech do

        • FWIW I use a Logitech vertical MX. Took me about a month to get comfortable with it, another two to three months to get super accurate with it. Stick with it long enough and it’ll feel exactly like a regular mouse.

I'm guessing these are right handed only and there isn't a left handed one available?

      • That's the first question on the Deal link

  • yeah i have. too light no weight at all.
    get logitech lift, miles better

    • lighter mice better for ergonomics ~reducing strain?

i can't use this at work because it looks a bit phallic

    • +1

Are you sure you were told off because of the mouse?

    • i can't use this at work because it looks a bit phallic

Have you tried the Big W Anker Ergonomic Mouse?

    • See a doc

they forgot the W at the front.

Last time this was posted, there were many comparisons to the kmart version in that they are both crap. Mojo mouse on amazon was recommended in the comments and i bought one. It has been great. A bit more weight compared to the kmart one and has either bt or dongle connection. I find it more comfortable than the mx master 2 i use at work. YMMV

    • Yep, lack of BT makes this a non-starter for me. I have a Mojo and a Logitech MX Vertical. I actually prefer the Mojo that cost like 1/4 of the Logitech. Last time I looked the Mojo with BT was no longer available though

  • hit or miss, honestly it's different for everyone. you have to take into account hand shape, size, finger length, back posture, table height etc etc. best bet for mice, imo, is to buy a few to try, and keep the one(s) you like, return them via amazon au.

  • Tried 3 different ergonomic vertical mouse and cheap ones are so light and you need to hold tight so that they don't fall to side or stay where you want.
Ended up using only Logitech MX Vertical mouse, this works best for my wrist pain and a lot stable than the others.

Can't speak for this, but the MX Vertical definitely helped with my RSI issues.

  • Which one of the two new Logi vertical mice is more similar to this size?

  • I thought shark finning was illegal

  • Get the anko - I find it was well worth it.
If you don't, 8 whole dollars might be wasted.

  • This Anker and the Kmart one are clearly 1:1 clones.
    These images say it all.

At least the Kmart one is priced fairly.
Edit: Had to change Amazon image link, amazon has some link protection going on.

    • has anyone had both before? wondering if there's any weight difference.

      • I think I read a comment here or on a previous deal saying they are the same weight.

IMO they are 1:1 identical. They will both weigh the same once batteries are inserted.
You might be able to stick some small weights inside the battery door or where the 2.4G receiver goes to add some weight without damaging it by opening it which will void warranty.

        • very interesting, in that case I'll check if the Kmart one is available anywhere.

  • I bought one of these last time it was on sale.

Pros: I now prefer vertical mouses to the typical ones.
Cons: This one has crappy battery life (lasted around 6 months, where most of my logitechs have gone many years). Also, the scroll-wheel was a little slippery.

You get what you pay for in terms of mice. One peripheral I'd never cheap out on is the mouse, especially if you're going to be using it for work for thousands of hours. RSI isn't fun.

    • Yep, for something you spend thousands of hours using, get the right one

  • I picked up a vertical mouse from OW the other week to use at work. I really love it. Was the J Burrows one for $20.

I’m quite happy to risk the $8 at Kmart to see how theirs is.

I’d use these mice for work or in the office but not for gaming. For whatever reason I prefer the traditional mouse when it comes to gaming.

    • please let us know what the differences are between the J burrow and Kmart if you're getting it. :)

      • @fuzzy wuzzy
I did end up getting the $8 one from Kmart. They both are comparable and work ok. But because I used the J Burrows one first I prefer that one. Will use the Kmart one as a spare.
