    Copy pasted from WookieMonster's Comment:

Yes, you can redeem them on both stores (Apple Store & Apple Education Store).

Keep in mind that you can only redeem 8 Apple gift cards in one online transaction, but there are ways around this limit:

    1. The 10% calculation assumes you opt to redeem your Everyday Rewards points for Everyday Rewards Dollars (either through Money Off Shopping or Bank For Christmas). - Credits to WookieMonster

Yeah sorry about that. I was expecting more people to post.

    • yea me too. i was about to post it and got a notification the 0.00000001 seconds before clicking submit.
now we lose out on the million of upvotes :(

      • +4

        The votes don't matter 😉

        • Clearly not to you, it’s like gold to others 😳

    • Today I went to Apple Store Chatswood Chase Sydney and tried to consolidate multiple Apple gift cards into one, but the store manager said: NO. Store manager said apple gift cards can not be used to purchase another apple gift card. Store manager said I can either add Apple gift cards to my Apple Account or call 133-622 to chat with apple gift card team to see if they can help.
I had to go back. It seems consolidating multiple Apple gift cards into one is not a general policy. Any chances to argue? I might try again tomorrow.

      • +2

Is there a reason you can't just add them to your account? It has almost the exact same end result.

        • +1

Yes, adding them to your account truly is the easiest way.

          • @YesPleaseThankYou: That’s true if you are spending less than $8,999 in one online transaction.

            • You can only have up to $4,999 on your Apple Account Associated Balance at any one time.

            • You can only redeem up to 8 Apple gift cards in one online transaction (and this can be done in conjunction with the Apple Account Associated Balance). Considering the maximum you can load onto an Apple gift card purchased through this deal is $500, you can only redeem up to $4,000 from Apple gift cards online.

Good luck trying to purchase a Pro Display XDR with Nano-Texture Glass or a Mac Pro or a souped-up Mac Studio online with Apple gift cards and an Apple Account Associated Balance unless you consolidate Apple gift cards first.

            • @WookieMonster:

That’s true if you are spending less than $8,999 in one online transaction

Above this amount must surely be the exception. It's definitely good to be aware of the limits, though.

You can only have up to $4,999 on your Apple Account Associated Balance at any one time

Does this remain true? I recall seeing the limit on the Apple website at one stage but can no longer locate it. Nothing shown here https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/giftcar…

        • Please note that @RichardL and @WookieMonster provides an option that one can consolidate multiple apple gift cards into one in an physical store and I am here to provide information that this might not be the case so that others do not need to waste time to go to physical stores.

@EFC94 I can definitely add the gift cards to the account and call it a day if I spend less than $8,999 in my order.

  • +1

Just checking can I use the apple gift card to pay for apple care if I decide to buy it from the physical Apple Store (it's pass 30 days from my purchase so they need to inspect the phone)?

    • -5

pretty sure the answer is no

    • +4

I bought Apple Care in store for my MacBook Pro and iPhone using a gift card. If they deem your device eligible, there should be no issues using gift card.

  • -1

Everyday rewards sucks hard. Doesn't matter if bonus points are from Netflix or Apple gift cards, they don't show up automatically. Had to call them every single time! Well, just my personal experience.

    • The fine print of this deal may explain why. It says it can take up to 14 days for bonus points to show in your account.

      • Yes, problem is they don't show up even after 14 business days……every single time….maybe it's just my bad luck.

    • +2

Last time I used this deal to buy $2k of GC's I had my 20k Qantas Points within the hour.

    • I got my $20 rewards dollars instantly at the self checkout when I tried buying the $200 gift card, so I don't know what you're on about buddy.

  • To confirm - these can be used as balance for a subscription such as Apple One, correct?

    • +1

      Yes.

    • +2

correct. i use it for apple games, music, tv, etc…

you can even buy ipads, macbook, iphone, etc…

      • however, there is a limit of up pto 8x gift cards per transaction only

        • +1

That's if you buy in store. If you add to your Apple account and buy online, it's unlimited gift cards.

          • @kerfuffle: Even the store can do it for you. Not officially, but they have done it for me. To be fair it’s a sale. Good for store. Good for you. It’s literally just if someone can’t be bothered putting it through they can say no.

  • -1

already got 20x points from Coles deal a few days ago. I'll skip this deal :P

    • +30

Thank you for letting us know. World is a better place now.

Anyone following the Back To Uni deals 2023? Was aware it was posted around Jan 6 2022 but nothing yet this year.. :-(

    • Waiting for the same thing. It's either delayed or cancelled for this year.

      • +1

Cancelled because Apple is cheesed off they had to pay some tax for once. Not the right amount, just a token amount.

    • I'm also wondering this. Both increased cashback and 'free' airpods.

      • +1

Rumours are no AirPods this year. Apple did gift cards for the US back to uni promo last jun/ July.

  • +1

i just bought last week at coles. they have the $20 ones.

oh, it looks like they are allowing $20 gift cards now, that's new. it was always the $30, $50, $100 giftcards.

i use it as gifts and use it for clash of clans. i am townhall 14. upgrades take over 2 weeks now :(
i use the apple giftcard to buy gems, then buy builder potions.

    • +1

      Big CoC fan I see.

    • I think it’s good to see the $20 included now, as you say. Although one could have gotten one of the variable $20-$500 ones, and loaded $20

      • that is true, but i feel horrible when i gift a card that says $20-$500, and it is the bare minimum of $20.

it kinda feels like your playing the lottery and should get something at least between $50-$100 minimum, or i may just be overanalysing it. lol

they also have new stickers added to the old stickers. so i bought 1 of each that i could find. i have no idea why i collect the stickers because i feel bad if i actually use them, but i should use them because it is a sticker. sigh, 1st world problems

    • Bro that game is like the worst part of my past life. It's never just five minutes a day with that game once you start playing you sit there for like the whole day.

      • Probably tells u more about my problem than the problem with the game.

  • How many points do you get from a $200 card?
Nvm page updated now and I see it’s $20

    • no worries, glad i can help mate.

  • +2

I check my everyday rewards points, last year, my points got stolen. 3 separate occasion. Everyday rewards is a very bad system and won't take care of your points properly.

    • Conversely, it’s a very progressive system for those who like cheap baby formula

    • How do they get stolen?

    • Mine got stolen and used too, but I contacted support and they replaced them then changed my associated email. But I still get notifications pretty much every day about someone trying to access my everyday rewards account… Shit system

If you have points, use them ASAP if possible. I was using my ~$400 from Apple purchases slowly on fuel every 2 weeks.

      • I’ve bought with the Bonus rewards multiple times and the bonus has always appeared at the checkout instantly. This time it hasn’t.

How do you normally contact support? I’ll give them some time in case it is stuck somewhere in the backend.

  • I’m sure it’s covered b4, can I use Woolies/wish gc to buy these Apple Card’s? Kids love the stickers

    • Can't use gift cards to buy gift card. In the t&c

  • Is this about the best we can expect for Apple cards these days?

  • Does 20X mean 10% off?

    • +1

If you look at the first comment in this deal:

10% of the Apple gift card’s value returned to you in the form of Everyday Rewards points.

(The 10% calculation assumes you opt to redeem your Everyday Rewards points for Everyday Rewards Dollars (either through Money Off Shopping or Bank For Christmas).)

  • So if I bought 500$ x 10 = 5000$ of Gift Card x20 points = 100,000 points? Everyday rewards = 50,000 QF Points?

    Is this correct?

Any other way to stack points on this?

    • +4

      Correct.

However, please be mindful of the following clause in the deal terms and conditions:

Limit of 10 cards per transaction and one transaction per day per Rewards Member.

Everyday Rewards actually started enforcing this clause a few months ago, so there is usually one comment per Everyday Rewards / gift card deal complaining about how the commenter's second transaction on the same day did not give them any points.

The reason I point this out is that if you go to a Woolworths and attempt to purchase $5,000 worth of gift cards in one transaction, staff will balk at that, as that is something scammers usually try to get people to do for them before sending the gift card codes over to the scammers. I also don't even know if it is even possible to purchase $5,000 worth of gift cards at Woolworths in one transaction… if staff suggest that they will need to split your purchase across multiple transactions, only accept to do one transaction and just purchase the amount staff are allowing you to purchase in one transaction. If you want more gift cards, wait until the next day before purchasing more gift cards in another transaction.

      • I also don't even know if it is even possible to purchase $5,000 worth of gift cards at Woolworths in one transaction

It certainly wasn’t possible for me with the Ultimate Home gift cards last month, was told there is a limit of $1000 per day, so had to buy 2 x $500 over 6 days.* Unsure if that limit applies to all GC (that was my assumption) or was just for the Ultimate GC, and if it’s a company-wide restriction or at the discretion of each store manager.

(*Btw my credit card got blocked after the third instance and they called to check these were legitimate transactions being made by me, so be prepared for that possibility.)

  • -1

I like points and stuff as much as the next person, but this just seems… complicated. How do I just get either 10% off or the equivalent of QFF points.

    • +1

The points convert to dollars or qff depending on your settings. It's as easy as that. Nothing complicated at all. Effectively a 10% off deal

  • can you but this off woolies gift card and get additional 5% off.

    • No.

      • It is against the terms and conditions of gift cards issued by Woolworths Group (e.g. WISH gift card, Woolworths Supermarkets gift card) to attempt to use it to pay for any gift cards.

      • If you select Gift Card as a payment method at a self-service checkout and then you scan, swipe or enter a gift card issued by Woolworths Group, an Item Not Allowed error message will pop up on the EFTPOS terminal. A staff member will need to clear the error message before you can attempt to use another payment method.

      • If you go to a standard checkout and ask to pay using a Gift Card, you'll either be told "no" by the checkout operator, or the checkout operator will let you try and you'll get the same error message as the one you get at self-service checkouts.

      • If you try to use Everyday Pay as a payment method for purchasing any gift cards at Woolworths or BIG W, you will get an Item Not Allowed error and you should be sent back to the regular payment screen. This is because Everyday Pay cannot be used to purchase any gift cards under any circumstances, even if there are no gift cards issued by Woolworths Group (e.g. Woolworths, WISH) on the Everyday Pay wallet.

  • Was gonna post a couple of days ago but then I remembered Woolies get grouchy when their deals are posted before 5pm on Mondays. At least Coles don’t mind!

  • +1

Waiting for Apple Back to School deals to announce with either CR or SB increase cashback

    • are iphones included in the back to school deals?

      • Unlikely

      • back to school deals only include Macbook Pros/Airs, iPads usually. and they tend to throw in airpods, headphones or some gift card to sweeten the deal
never seen iPhone because iPhone is apple's biggest revenue generating product in their whole ecosystem as everyone wants/needs a smartphone at least.

ipad/macs? not so much, technically they get held up for 2-4 years ish or maybe longer before it goes through an upgrade => hence the more deals on ipad and macs back2school

    • When do these normally get announced?

      • -1

Appears they happen mid to late January.
Hopefully some good deals to come with no caps!

  • bought 4 cards, but checkout chick said she could only do one transaction per card. is this something i can call up and sort out?
    thanks

    • The one transaction per card doesn’t sound right (previous couple of times this deal has been on I’ve bought a few $100 Apple GC in a single transaction without issue), unless it’s a new thing. What was the value of each card?

      • yeh thats what i told her but she seemed sure .
        $500 each.

        • Maybe she was confusing it with Woolies’ $1000 per day limit for gift cards (see my comment earlier in the thread), but that still should’ve allowed you to buy 2 x $500 cards in one transaction. Possibly just human error in this case.

          • +2

@fraxinus: From my experience, different Woolworths staff members have different thresholds for which they can approve when a customer is wanting to purchase gift cards.

            • One junior staff member at my local store cannot approve a $500 gift card purchase, so they have to get another staff member to approve it.

            • Most staff members seem to be able to approve up to a $1,000 gift card purchase.

            • More senior staff (e.g. duty manager, store manager) should be able to approve more than $1,000, but it then falls on their discretion as to what they want to approve, and different staff members are more willing to approve high-value gift card purchases than other staff members. I remember one duty manager telling me during the last 30x EDR points deal for Apple gift cards at Woolworths that they would only approve the sale of up to $300 worth of Apple gift cards, because they could not work out why someone would want to spend more than $300 on music or apps, and they refused to believe that Apple gift cards could be used to pay for hardware… To be fair, I think it was also the store’s way of rationing Apple gift cards, as you always had problems finding stock of Apple gift cards during 30x bonus points deals.

For all I know, the staff member serving @whoopdeedoo could probably only approve up gift card purchases of up to $500 in a transaction… or they were told by store management to only approve up to $500 per transaction… or they pulled that number out of thin air. Who knows!

            • @WookieMonster: Hi the master, may i know if i can buy this giftcard online through Woolies website? im currently on holiday abroad but don't want to miss this. Thank you.

    • +1

You won't get the points on the 3 subsequent transactions, per the terms of the promotion.

Everyday Rewards will likely add them for you.

      • +1

Called Everyday Rewards and they were able to credit the missing points back to my account.

I had 4 gift cards and was prepared to pay in one transaction (this is what I did last promotion) but the cashier split it into 3 separate payments. Got the points for the first transaction and missed $100 in points on the other two. It seems the cashier was not able to approve my combined gift cards since their supervisor was like "you should have called me for multiple gift cards" (or something) after they messed up trying to activate the same gift card twice. Cashier also forgot to scan my card on one occasion but luckily I had the receipt.

  • Did anyone buy today and get points on those cards? Please confirm :)

    Much appreciated thanks

    • Will grab some this arvo. Hopefully there will be stock.
I don't imagine too many people rushing to buy apple gift cards unless theyre planning to buy something

  • Just bought 1500 worth, was no problems at all. Didnt even have to get the manager or anything
Will keep an eyes out for when points hit.

EDIT: Points have hit. 15000 qantas points in my account.

The points hit immediately on purchase. just checked my notifications of transactions and when the email hit. same time.

  • +4

Got 3x$500 and one $49from Woolies no issues same transaction. and $200 trade in for iPhone X 64gb with Face ID not working in Apple for 14pro 128GB. Points came straight away.

  • +1

Where are the back to school deals for this year??

    • I called apple today to ask about this, their response was to wait a week or 2 as the offer is definitely in the pipeline.

    • Lady at Apple store told me it will start around the start of Feb. iPhones won't be included, only MacBooks and iPads…. Things used for school 🤷‍♀️

  • just curious if you buy apple gift cards with an anz black rewards credit card would that be treated as a cash advance? or just a normal purchase [gift card].
as i do have a credit card at the moment

    • +1

I am wondering why you would think the purchase would be treated as cash advance.

Have any of your other purchases from Woolworths been treated as cash advances?

      Gift cards are not cash-equivalents.

  • Does woolworths 10% work? for woolworths insurance or mobile customer.

    • Did you read the terms and conditions of the 10% discount?

      • +1

        Thanks got it!

The Offer cannot be applied to certain products, services, fees or in conjunction with any other offers including any vouchers, Delivery Saver items, bag fee and crate service fee, internet cafes, purchases of liquor, smoking/tobacco products and accessories, newspapers, Woolworths Services, Gift Cards (including iTunes), mobile recharge, Woolworths Mobile devices or plans, travel cards and tickets, Carpet Care, lottery products and Everyday Market from Woolworths orders.

        • Yep, no worries.

It would be great if it did apply, as then we could buy discounted (almost) everything.

  • Just bought $2249. Initially tried to pay all at once but the lady had an authorisation issue so split to two transactions 1249+1000.
Turned out missed extra points on 2nd transaction $1000. Unhappy :(.
Just asked if refund is possible but no.

    • +2

      One transaction per day unfortunately..

    • I was asked to split two $500 cards into two transactions..

  • +1

Just checking guys, how come I can’t see this promo in my everyday rewards or woolworths app? Is this a targeted promo? There are no signs in-store as well, unlike in the past where they advertised it online and in the aisle itself.

    • +1

      It is on the catalogue

  • Amazing! Thank you♥️

Was off to spend too much money, now I can also eat a steak for dinner!!!

  • So, just saw this…. is it valid on or only until the 17th (tomorrow)? Like, does it include the 17th?

    • +1

It’s usually available until 2359 (at stores open this late) on the last day of the promo period, so should include today 17 Jan.

  • +1

I just bought 1 extra $500 on top just in case when the new M2 MacBooks have a price increase, as currently I have 13 of 500 value of Apple Gift Cards already, and just have the right amount to order the new M2 MacBook Pro. 😁
