Apple One Subscription: Individual INR₹195/Month (~A$3.58), Family INR₹365/Month (~A$6.69) @ Apple India

1390

Apple One signed up with an Indian account, can not be family shared with AU account. The only thing that can be shared with AU account is iCloud storage.

It's a good deal for Apple TV / non Apple/ iPhone users to be able to access Apple Music, Apple Arcade, and Apple TV Plus, while also being able to share iCloud plus storage with their AU account.

Apple one is not available in Türkiye

  1. Set up an Indian Apple ID using your AU number to verify.

  2. Login into an iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, using an Indian Apple ID.

  3. Buy Apple gift cards from Amazon India using your AU amazon account. Enter an Indian address (make sure indian address is selected, otherwise gift cards will show as out of stock) and use a virtual card from Wise.

  4. Sign up to Apple One via settings.

  5. Login on your Apple TV as a second account and enjoy all the services for a lesser price.

You can also share the iCloud store with your AU Apple ID via Family Sharing.

    • Yes. It is still working.

  • So if I am an current iPhone user, I can only "share" the cloud storage with my iPhone?

I assume I will need a second Apple device (I have a Ipad gen4 but only on ios 10.3) to utilise other feature of the Apple One account (with the India id)?

  • Anyone had their account deactivated?

I created a separate one strictly for this and used it as the media and purchases account.

Now I can't sign in, says the account is not active.

    • Was planning to do this… Did you get it sorted?

      • Yes I did - had to call Apple, they flagged it as a suspicious account with no warning at all and deactivated it.

Once I called, was back in ~24hrs. Hopefully it doesn't happen again.

        • Did they mention anything about opening an account of a different country?

          • @Brakus: I must have jinxed myself posting here, for some reason it’s deactivated again. So annoying!

Didn’t mention anything about the country, not sure how much the low level support staff can see.

            • @Apostle0748: Called Apple Support during the day - I suspect I got someone higher up in Support given it was during our business hours and she started questioning why I had two Apple ID's.

She ended up transferring me over to another department and he has put it through the automatic reactivation process. Once it is active, they can then dig deeper as to why it's happening.

  • Is it worth doing this with AU Apple ID?
