Apple One Subscription: Individual INR₹195/Month (~A$3.58), Family INR₹365/Month (~A$6.69) @ Apple India

1390

Apple One signed up with an Indian account, can not be family shared with AU account. The only thing that can be shared with AU account is iCloud storage.

It's a good deal for Apple TV / non Apple/ iPhone users to be able to access Apple Music, Apple Arcade, and Apple TV Plus, while also being able to share iCloud plus storage with their AU account.

Apple one is not available in Türkiye

  1. Set up an Indian Apple ID using your AU number to verify.

  2. Login into an iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, using an Indian Apple ID.

  3. Buy Apple gift cards from Amazon India using your AU amazon account. Enter an Indian address (make sure indian address is selected, otherwise gift cards will show as out of stock) and use a virtual card from Wise.

  4. Sign up to Apple One via settings.

  5. Login on your Apple TV as a second account and enjoy all the services for a lesser price.

You can also share the iCloud store with your AU Apple ID via Family Sharing.

  • So that's how you buy in India Amazon. You have to buy a Gift card?

    • You can buy apple gift cards straight from Amazon India using any fee free card.

      • but make sure you don't ship the gc to the fake address

        • It’s delivered via email

Will I start getting Bollywood recommendations in music?

    • +4

May be when you first start it. It should then get seasoned to your taste over time.

    • +3

Not sure about Apple but on YouTube you could keep disliking the recommendations until it slows down

      • But YouTube would check your location and knowing you're not in India right?

  • Anyone tried this with Turkey account? keen to know which is cheaper

    • +1

Turkey doesn’t have Apple One available yet.

      • +7

        They have Apple Twokey but.

  • thanks for sharing op!! I thought the price of a slot was closer to what you see in classified then i realised its for the entire family subscription. good value

    • +1

Beware that you can’t share it with Aussie account. Everyone will have to have an Indian Apple ID. Useful for those with Apple TV.

      • Thanks for the heads up - do you know if this will affect how it handles the automatic backup options and if this is easy to switch between the IDs of different regions?

        • On Apple TV you can switch pretty easily. On iPhone you will have to sign out and in on the purchases section manually every time. But your default ID will automatically get signed when going back.

          • @Pricebeat: Every time you change the account you have to re enter credit cards detailed in your wallet app.

            • @Ccrew: Good thing, you are not changing the account. Just the “media and purchases” ID.

              • @Pricebeat: Thanks. I didn’t know that now it is easier to update apps etc in different countries ID.

      • Can I use the same Indian Apple ID on my iPad to play Apple Arcade if I keep my AU Apple ID signed into things like the App Store etc?

        • +1

App store and Apple arcade login is connected to “media and purchases” so whatever ID you have signed into “media and purchases” will go on both.

  • Does the Indian Apple One Plus have the 2T bundle? I mean Apple One Plus premium?

    • Nope, they don’t have that tier because Apple hasn’t released Apple Fitness there yet.

    • +2

According to this page (https://www.apple.com/ie/newsroom/2021/10/apple-one-premier-…) the 'Apple One Premier' product including 2TB and fitness+ is available in 21 countries (not all countries include News+ if that matters).

The trick will be finding a country that is cheap and accepts gift cards…

      • OK, maybe not Russia where App Store and iTunes purchases were turned off

The Apple Brazil site has online gift cards listed and could be a go-er.

        • +1

Brazil is missing News+ even from premier.

You gotta admit, Apple has done a good job at limiting the appeal for customers to buy from other regions. I’d love to pay $7/ month instead of $43/month, but I’m heavy in their ecosystem and stuck on the drug. Slot sharing and gift cards is the best way to go for me, as good as this deal will be for some people, nice one OP!

  • Any way for this to work with an AU account? Any order alternatives for an Australian account besides paying the Australian tax?

    • +1

Discounted Apple gift cards and family sharing with other people is the only thing you can do on an AU account to lower the cost.

  • Are you sure you can use family share with accounts in different countries? I tried this before, but it was not allowed at the time. Is this a recent change?

    • +2

It can not be shared as mentioned in the first paragraph of the post. Just iCloud storage can be shared.

      • iCloud storage, and AppleTV is the only thing I'd want to share with me, my daughter, there's no issue with family not being in India?

  • this is one spicy deal

  • Buy Apple gift cards from Amazon India(amazon.in) using your AU amazon account.

Your link is amazon.in. How do I sign in to Amazon IN using my Amazon AU account?

    • Use same login details as Amazon AU.

      • I used the same login details as my Amazon AU but got an error. I think I have to create a new account in Amazon IN.

        There was a problem
        Your password is incorrect

        • Ah ok
Try logging into Amazon.com.au and then edit the url to amazon.in

  • Sorry got a question, how do I create an Indian apple ID? Is it through VPN? Thanks!

    • No VPN required

  • Can I do this with existing apple id?

    • Yes but if it’s your main ID then not advisable

      • Do I need a different phone number to sign up for spare apple id?

        • You can use same number

  • When we login with the new apple id in the phone does it still have all our app data ? or we need to reinstall all?

    • +1

You are not logging out your main ID. You need to only sign into “Media and purchases” section with Indian Apple ID. Everything else on your phone will remain same.

      • does that mean everything on my AU 'media & purchases' section will be inaccessible while I'm signed in to the indian account?

I think this may be too much hassle for me, despite how cheap it is. Also India misses out on fitness+ and news+

Good deal, thanks OP - just not for me

        • +1

does that mean everything on my AU 'media & purchases' section will be inaccessible while I'm signed in to the indian account?

          Yes unfortunately.

That’s why it’s only ideal for Apple TV users as they can be signed into various IDs at the same time.

  • Will this allow me to get Apple TV Plus at a cheaper rate?

    • Yes Apple TV, storage, Music they are all included.

  • Can one go through step 2, using non iOS device?

    • Maybe via iTunes on desktop

  • I thought all Apple users are rich, don’t need deals like this? Hahah

  • Can you still share app purchases?

  • I’m getting 749 a month for 2tb. What have I done wrong?

    • Hard reset phone or try restore purchases.

      • It’s for iCloud+ not apple one. Can’t seem to find how to purchase apple one.

        • Apple isn’t available in Turkey. You will need Indian Apple ID.

          • @Pricebeat: I’m pretty sure I have an Indian one. I hope I did!

            • @BargainBadger: Then that’s why iCloud 2TB is different price for you.

iCloud deal requires Türkiye Apple ID. Apple One deal requires Indian Apple ID.

              • @Pricebeat: Investigating further it looks like my appleid wasn’t completed. I’ve just gone to iTunes and it is asking me to complete it. Maybe after it will work.

  • Thanks @Pricebeat this looks like a great deal that could save me ~$100/year!

What would happen to all existing content stored on my current paid iCloud+ 2TB subscription?

If I sign up to this deal with a new Indian Apple ID, can I share that new cheaper iCloud storage with my main AU Apple ID account plus the rest of my family, and by doing so can I safely cancel my existing $15/month iCloud+ with 2TB storage subscription, without losing all my family photos etc?

Do we each need to manually transfer everything to over the new Indian account’s iCloud storage somehow?

Can I also connect my non-Apple smart speakers (Amazon Echo Dot) to the new Indian account to stream from Apple Music?

No one in my family uses Apple Music on our personal devices but we listen to it from two Echo Dot smart speakers in the house. Currently using the trial Apple Music subscription which expires next week.

I did signup for it but my icloud did not change? When I am trying for icloud plus its asking for $1.50? Does anyone know how to change the icloud account to Indian icloud account? thanks.

  • +1

Anyone getting a requirement to verify payment details before the apple one subscription goes through? I have IND2000 in my India appleID account but it still wants an Indian payment method (UPI or Net Banking, with Indian banks the only option).

    • Try to download a free app using Indian Apple ID and then select payment option as none.

      • Thanks - I picked a random Indian bank, entered a real/fake address and it was ok after that.

Does anyone has got Amazon prime video and Apple TV+? I have got amazon prime and youtube music subscribtion, wondering if its worth to get Apple TV+ as well?

  • so apparently you will have to keep buying the gift cards to recharge the cost to keep it going, is there a way to use the AU credit card?

  • will this work to access AppleTV+ here in australia if I don't have have physical apple tv but via app on Android/Google TV?

    • +1

Yes, it should. You may have to sign up via desktop

      • Can you elaborate please - it will be an app on TV. Usually it asks to approve login via phone if you on same network ( which in this case won't be). Thinking aloud, if this works any android users can use it and you comment around having apple tv is not valid?

        • Thinking aloud, if this works any android users can use it and you comment around having apple tv is not valid?

That’s true, I wasn’t thinking broader I guess. I forgot that apple has released these apps on other OS as well.

  • Thanks op .. looks like a great deal

Just ordered the Apple Card but no email with the codes yet .. how long did it take for others to get the email with code ??

Not very confident will get the code from the seller with 46% 1 star .. fingers crossed 🤞😅

    • +1

it should come in like less than 1hr, but the issue here i am seeing is that the family sharing works with icloud storage, but not the apple tv+ cause on my other account (AU) its telling me to subscribe to it…for 9.99 AUD /month

      • So when you link icloud storage to your Au email it’s fine?

        • the icloud storage is good, just not the apple tv+

while using the apple tv+ is subscribed on a monthly basis through an amazon apple gift card.

          • @PingLocalHost: Is it’s still working? Mine initially to use ICloud backup, but now it says it’s full despite 40gb being free

  • When I am trying to link to i cloud it is still looking for my local AU account how to link to the indian apple id for i cloud?

  • I don't have any Apple devices, only Android…

Does this mean that I can't sign up for this deal?

  • +1

Hey @Pricebeat - I'm on Amazon.in with my address set correctly but can't see gift cards - are you able to link again?

    • Yeah same for me. No dice. I can only find one other website selling Apple India gift cards and it looks dodgy af.

    • +1

Just chipping in here. Amazon.in seems to sell it directly and has its own page set up: https://www.amazon.in/hfc/bill/apple_store_codes?ref=hfc_buy…

      Haven't tried it myself yet.

      • +1

Thanks mate! This worked, just take note you'll need an India address otherwise the purchase will be cancelled.

      • Thanks for your info! I managed to buy one using the link provided, with Indian address. 28 degree Mastercard was fine to use on my initial purchase. Tried to buy more and no longer able to purchase it, it keeps declining. Where else can I buy Indian itune card or amazon gift card? Or “virtual wise card” is the only way to go?

  • icloud is shareable with AU acc so would it mean Apple Music can also be shared if someone is added as family orr?

  • has anyone had issues sharing apple one with family? it seems to share icloud, but nothing else. Is it possibly an issue where i need to enable "purchase sharing"? and if so how is that done as it requires an indian bank account linked up? cheers

    • any thoughts?

    • Only iCloud can be shared internationally. Nothing else

  • Gave this a red hot go and this doesn't work. As a final hurdle, you have to add payment from an indian bank as a test payment, even with the gift card loaded up and with VPN in india (also tried without VPN).

Tried selecting a random bank and it just takes you to the bank website. Good luck trying to add 100 rupees without one.

EDIT - You can get the free trial on itunes and get the subscription. Will let you know how it pans out once the free trial ends…

    • Yeah this is where I’m at. Loaded gift cards. Can’t share applies music or iCloud to other family..

      • See my comment below and the link. Not sure if it helps since I'm not sharing to other family.

    • Have you selected payment method as none at any stage? That’s the issue you are having. Google search how to get payment method “none”

        Looked up what you meant.

When I originally signed up for the free apple music trial, I had some made up placeholder bank detail for an indian bank. I then cancelled the 'free trial' for the music subscription, removed the bull**** payment detail and then resubbed and paying using the giftcard.

        Seems to work for now…

  • Thanks OP. Went through all steps smoothly without being asked for payment details at all.

And I know you said this is good for non-iPhone users only but I'm having no issues being logged in to the Indian account for Media and Purchases and stay logged in to my main Apple ID on my iPhone. The only problem I can foresee is some apps not being available on the Indian App store but so far I haven't encountered any yet.

  • +2

Found this link instant instead of waiting for email: https://www.amazon.in/hfc/bill/apple_store_codes?ref=hfc_buy…

Doesn't seem to go out of stock either.

  • does this still work?
