NZXT H1 V2 Liquid Cooled ITX Case with 750W Gold PSU $299 (Was $499) + Delivery ($0 to Metro Areas) @ PC Case Gear

2290

Lowest price I've seen on this case which is a great deal as it comes with a PSU and 140mm AIO built in.

I personally own this case and it's nice and compact with good thermals and not too loud either. Was my first ITX build and I found it extremely easy to put together.

Both Black and White colors available.

This is probably the lowest price. Good find.

  • +5

Looks like a Xsx which is nice. I got the rvz03 as its more inline with ps5 aesthetics
The perk for this deal is it already has psu and liquid cooling which saves a chunk of money and time wasting trying to pair them up

    • +4

Black panel ruins it for me

      • Agree.

  • +3

The Hardware Canucks review on the product page mentions the pump fan is stuck at 100%. Is this still the case? No pun intended.

    • +3

Yes. I have the case and in my opinion not the quietest.

    • +9

I have this case and while yes it can be loud, but if you install NZXT CAM software you can tune the fan curve which helps a lot

      • +1

Fans definitely fine. Pump is definitely the most audible. But at this price, I would still buy again

        • if you need an extra pc

        • Could you get around this by plugging pump header into a chassis fan port on the mono (and then control thru fan tuning software)?

      • +2

I also replaced the default 140mm fan on the AIO to an Arctic P14 which helped considerably with both temps + sound, where I have the fan on at ~50% on NZXT Cam and don’t hear it over the pump

  • Suits mini itx motherboards.

Nzxt do some killer cases. Am.hodling out for a pc later this yearm

  • How does this scale for bus size gpus?

    • Quad-slot GPU… drill mount parts on the outside of the chassis 🤪😥

        Tempered glass panel: Checkmate!

Lol OzBargain post thumbnail showing an anti-bot page from PCCG?

  • Damn good find….was about to commit to an MATX build but this is too cheap

    • +2

      motherboard itx tax though :(

      • +3

people keep saying this but its not thaat bad is it? given i just bought a sama im01 i was tempted by itx for a long time..

      • +7

Once you've had ITX, you never go back…TX.

  • And bought in white, thanks for the heads up.

  • What is a "Metro Area"? I'm in Sydney but it's $26 for shipping.

    • +3

It defaults to Auspost? Free shipping with StarTrack.

  • +1

I still have a v1 of this case that I haven’t used in years, should probably get a replacement riser cable for it, are they still handing them out?

  • +2

Damn i remember when these were like 650 in lockdown

  • +7

2 hours of Youtube later, I'm in!

  • Took me a couple hours but I pulled the trigger on the white one. The value is just too good.

Now if am5 itx motherboards could come down a bit…

  • Too good a deal to pass.

  • +2

Any good mini itx am4 motherboards to pair with this ?

    • Also wondering this

Pickings are slim on B650e itx boards.

Gigabyte only has B650 itx which is PCIE-4 GPU slot.

The Asus only decent B650e. The other option is an MSI which is a brand I don't touch.

    • Dont know if youre still looking, but I got the B550 I-Strix by Asus. It works well with the case and has all the headers that you need.

  • is ITX much different to normal cases?

I'm assuming i need an ITX motherbord.. is there any good ones that people recommend for intel CPUs?

    • +3

RAM, SATA, PCIE socket varies. Make sure to make some research on sffpc subreddit

      • Well, all those ports are the normal standards, you just get less of them on an ITX board.

        • RAM and PCIE slot yes. SATA, maybe?

  • +2

What to do with the old case?

    • -1

      chuck it in hard rubbish

    • Sell it, build a server, metal recycling, use it for a raspberry pi, put the itx case inside it, fish tank, planter…

  • Same free delivery to Sydney also

140 AIO is worse than an air cooler but more noisy

    • +2

Generally yes, but in this case aircooling is constrained.

      • but considering price. not bad. :)

      • -1

So AIO is preferred over air cooling for ITX builds due to air constraints?

    • Are you implying air coolers are bad? After changing to a Noctua u12a I can’t see a need to go back. Absolute silence and less worry.

      • -1

        are you blind? opposite.

even 240 mm AIO is not better than high-end air coolers

        • +2

I’m not having a go at you so no need to speak like that. Your sentence implies air coolers are bad so I wanted to make sure new builders don’t read that comment and think it’s true.

          • -4

@The Almighty Dollar: because 360mm AIO is better than high end air coolers (FOR CPU ONLY)

You live in a very tired world.

    • +3

Even a 120 AIO outperforms many air coolers.
Air cooler doesn't automatically mean Noctua D15, Cryorig R5, beQuiet Dark Rock, etc…

And even the very best air coolers don't do shit if:
      1. it doesn't fit
      2. There's no airflow above the CPU

For ITX, AIOs are almost a necessity, unless the case has meshed open space near the CPU to suck in external air.

  • will a 4080 work with this combo?

    • Max GPU Clearance 324mm
      Max GPU Thickness 58mm

      It might.

  • So a micro ATX mobo won't fit in this right?

  • +2

After multiple itx builds, I simply can't do it anymore. Too bloody annoying, I'm always dropping things.

    Good price nevertheless.

  • +1

Really appreciate this one OP - Way overdue for an upgrade; and with all the extras (PSU, cooler) this made a lot of sense. Now to keep an eye out for a good deal on a mini itx mobo!

    • +1

If you are ok with 12th gen cpu from intel and ddr4 ram bpc have the gigabyte z690i aorus lite for $249
      https://www.bpctech.com.au/product/ga-z690i-a-ultra-lite-d4-…
It will need a bios update to support 13th gen but only from 13600 onwards

      • Thanks for this - I actually just mocked up an AM5 pcpartpicker build and it came to 1.8k without a GPU (and excluding the case) - I think your recommendation is a no-brainer.

Any major disadvantage to not going with a Wi-Fi 6E motherboard?

13 gen would be good for future-proofing purposes I guess - Will the PC boot without a bios update? (possibly a noob question)

        • Not particularly 6e has tobe same room as router for 6 e speeds but are probably all limited to internet speeds.
I wanted to futurr proof mine a little more soi qent for asrock z790 with ddr5 slot for $449.
Problem is ddr5 jumps up atleast $100
Best ram i found is corsair vengeans lpx at amazon for $132 for ddr4

          • @maverickjohn: Thanks for the advice. I'll think about it; worst case I'll sit on the case for a little while until a good deal on a DDR5 board comes up and slowly accumulate other parts until then.

        • +1

Please see below resonse about gigabyte boards. Seem to be faulty

        • You didn't happen to save the build did you? I need to do some research on where the price performance gold spot is sitting for most people,

I grabbed a 3090 last year but 2022 kept giving. Now I need to finish the build….or buy a 2nd hand system from someone who upgraded everything except the gpu failing that.

(last build was sandy bridge so im a bit removed from what's popular ;)

      • +2

Hmmm… the Z690i aorus ultra lite ddr4 boards are the faulty original Z690i ultra board resold, with pciexpress 4.0/5.0 disabled..

        https://au.pcmag.com/motherboards/94070/gigabyte-recalls-z69….

        Stay away…

thats why they are so cheap in comparison,

Gigabyte is basically selling faulty motherboards, not up to spec (which they would have otherwise binned) to unsuspecting consumers.. with the PCI-express 4.0 disabled.. god knows what else is worng with these boards..

        • Ohhh good to know.
Thats why they are that cheap

  • Hmmm, needing to upgrade my PSU so maybe I upgrade case and sell my NR200 and SF600… tricky tricky

edit: Pulled the trigger - it's the ozbargain way

  • Rookie question. I want to build a NAS, is this of any use. I currently have HP Gen8 microserver. It is working well, but I want to experiment with something else.

    • +2

No 3.5" HDD position in this case, probably not for NAS. It supports 2 x 2.5" drives.

      • Thank you. I just noticed that in the Youtube video too.

    • Why not just a nice Synology or QNAP?

      • Thank you. Synology is on my list. But creating something of your own and getting it to work has its own fun. Plus hoping that a self build will be cheaper than Snynology.

        • +3

Totally get that. Can be a bit of fun.

I've just been working in IT too long is all, and I've usually had enough by the time I clock off. :-)

Though I am putting together a PC build for my son. Crazy!

    • What NAS software have you got on the Gen8? I run openmediavault on an ancient Gen7, it still does what I need.

      • I used to run FreeNas. But I had issues in accessing from client devices on my network. So, I moved to Windows 10. I use Plex to access my media files. I had upgraded to Xeon E3, 16 GB RAM and SSD for OS. You are correct, my does most things I need it to do. Although may not be as responsive when watching something 4K.

        • +1

What's your Plex client running on? I watch 4K content on a Shield, the client does all the work OMV serves files at around 60-80MB/s which is enough.

I'd say your server hardware is about 1000 times more powerful than mine. Save your money!

          • @pennypacker: Plex is running on MiBox3. I have a Shield, but lost its remote during the house move. So, can't connect to the new network and the plex server.

  • What would be a good recommendation for a graphics card to go with this case and PSU?

    • With current gen GPUs you can go upto a 4070 TI or 7900 XT (XTX models will also fit, however the bundled 750W PSU is not ideal for this).

  • +1

I find the thermals terrible. The front panel really needs to be mesh. Playing a basic game like overwatch has the gpu at 60-70 due to airflow constraints.

    • +1

I'd argue that the thermals are still better than the v1 of this case at least. Not being on fire and all.

    • +7

60-70° is pretty normal temps for a GPU gaming in any case

      • He didn't tell you he's running it at 140fps

  • looking at the thumbnail, i genuinely thought this was an xbox series x for $299. you nearly got the Ozbargain deal of the week from me.

  • Ordered, thanks OP. Now need to find another $3k for the build lol

    • you ordered it, to save money, but you wanna spend three thousand dollars, so dumb

      • Profile checks out.

  • +5

Built a PC in one of these in Dec, cost $100 more. Ryzen 5 7600X on a B650I Aorus Ultra, 32GB G.Skill DDR5-6000 CL30, RX 7900 XT, 1TB and 2TB Kingston Fury Renegade SSDs (one for OS, the other for games). As long as you stick to triple slot GPUs you should be fine, the AIB 7900 XTXs are often four slots deep so won't fit. I have a bunch of better 140mm fans I could have swapped into it but was happy with the stock noise level even running some stress test loops.

Mini-ITX is a solution to a space problem, if you don't need such a solution I'd recommend avoiding (more costly, fewer features, harder to cool, more fiddly and complicated to build). There are also definitely much smaller cases than this. But if you want a full size GPU and you want a PC with a very small footprint (even if you don't mind the height) this is definitely at the top of a very short list.

    • if you don't need such a solution I'd recommend avoiding

You're right. I like the idea of having a sffpc, but I don't really need a sffpc. Maybe I should look at mATX builds instead.

  • as someone used to have 7Liter size pc, itx is really not for the fame of heart for most ppl, or even many armature builders.
upgraded to nr200p case, much much easier parts choice and availability especially in Australia we dont get many water cooling choices.
i think the sweet spot is mATX builds, cheap yet compact enough that makes sense. but saving space was never the goal for most builders, its that tiny but mighty feeling we are after.

    • its that tiny but mighty feeling we are after.

      User name checks out

  • Bought one in white! Fingers crossed some good deals come through soon for ITX mobos

  • Thoughts on the following for this case?

    CPU - AMD Ryzen 5 7600
MOBO - ASUS TUF Gaming B650M-PLUS WIFI
GPU - ASUS TUF Gaming 3070
    Memory - G.Skill Flare X5 32gb (2x16gb)

Looking at some casual gaming, office work and some very infrequent video editing.
