It expires on Sunday. I drank milk 4 days over the date this week that was still perfect. Your nose is a better guide than a label IMO.
I got destroyed by two day old dolmades. Nose didn't help me avoid that one lol

Free is free… I wouldn't think they have fridges big enough to house all this milk, and then the electricity costs to cover it. So as a give away no one give a $3%$

BTW this is Mooloo Mountain milk, currently our favourite! (Consistently sweeter than your regular dairy farmers, pauls or colesworth, but same sugar content).
Should be fine if its been out for less then 3 hours, but if longer - boil for paneer/yoghurt/ricotta/custard etc.

Reminds me of the army. Shipping out pallets of milk and chocolate ice cream with no refrigeration facilities available. Initially everyone was walking around with milk until someone had the bright idea of choccy ice cream shakes.

Make paneer and freeze it. Can use for sweet and savory. Sweet cheese ball savory paneer curry.
You can make kefir with this, will last a month that way. Pour 30 mil of butter milk or kefir and keep on the kitchen bench overnight. Done!
Used to live near Loaves and Fishes - dropped in once or twice - almost everything was past its use-by date.
Best Before dates are different to Use By dates.
