Congrats for the new Oracle, light roast tend to have high brew temp, aim for 93/94c. Grind fine to get ~40ml out in 30s for the double shot.

      • This is actually the only correct advice.
Any grind size number will be valid for that grinder that coffee that environment only.

I got my Breville barista pro last month, been using Aldi coffee $12 for 1kg bag and I love it so much

      • What settings you use on Barista pro… Like temp, grind size etc… Do you drink double or single shot ?

  • +9

Not a deal, I’m pretty amazing at making coffee as I always tell my mates and I can’t get a consistent grind out of these beans. Alternatives such as Sicilia at less than $20/kg is a much better deal and am not affiliated with them in any way /s

    • +1

Never seen Sicilia selling the premium beans for under $20/kg delivered. Unless you buy 10kg of their cheapest Italian Robusta blend beans.

    • I can only confirm!

  • -7

Forget Airjo, buy Sicilia or Aldi beans! https://www.siciliacoffee.com.au/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI99T0o5zE… Also use CHEERS10 or THANKS10 to get 10% off. What are 40% from AIRJO worth if the beans are 3 times more expensive. The Sumatra beans I had were very average and the Aldi and Sicilia beans for example are much better and the price is a portion of what AIRJO demands… don’t get fooled!

a sore loser appears as predicted 🤷🏻‍♂️

      • -1

A fake profile from AIRJO appears as predicted!

        • +3

No, I am just a regular and reasonable person who absolutely despise someone like you who actively attempt to defame a small business while promoting your associates. If you aren’t associated with Sicilia, you honestly need to stop as you are making them look bad.

          • +2

@lookingforTV: I am not in any kind associated! I just love good coffee. Airjo unfortunately does not good coffee and I just want to save some hunters here a whinge later.

@Thrifty Dan: See I would believe you if you only have left comments on Airjo deals here and there. But, you post your comment on every single deal of theirs and rubbish Airjo on any other coffee deals that are not even related to them. It’s clear how malicious you are.

                • @Thrifty Dan: Tbh, yes, Airjo isn’t cheap. And at a discount it’s reasonably priced. But I get it delivered to my door, it tastes great. And I can’t be arsed to look for something as good or better.

            • @Thrifty Dan: Why does your link contain a gclid campaign/affiliate link if you aren't associated?

              • @henno: I am not affiliated in any kind. Stop assuming if you don't have a clue.

              • @henno:

Why does your link contain a gclid campaign/affiliate link if you aren't associated?

gclid is the tag that Google puts in on a Google search.

Enough with all the accusations (henno, lookingforTV, thehairpolice), if you have any concerns use Talk with a Moderator.

Sicilia doesn’t have free shipping. If you add $8 shipping to the price, the nicer blends are not that different to Airjo prices.

      • Is there any cheaper alternative?

      • If you order 3kg it is only $5 for shipping!

        • Can’t drink coffee that quick. They’d be sitting in the pantry for a month or 2.

    • Thanks I took your advice

I'm starting with organic crema blend and it's great so far

The Sumatra beans went stale too quick for me

I'll let you know how I go

  • First, I tried Enterprise and loved it. Then i went for Sumatra, and it is good taste, but stronger (more caffeine). Next, I will try somewhere between, or go back to Enterprise.

Buying Campos Superior Coffee Beans theses days, a bit more expensive, but it seems to me that tastes better.

  • Best to buy and try for yourself, can highly recommend

  • Love it!!

I bought lavazza intenso beans based on the recommendation of someone in here and it’s hideous.

Aldi dark is much better and cheaper

    • +1

Can't go wrong with Aldi beans. It really is great value for money and most importantly (at least in Victoria) they are freshly roasted and delivered to stores relatively quickly.

      • Do the Aldi beans have the same roast date coding (reversal of digits) as the Coles Urban beans?

        • +1

Just re-checked. The Coles beans encode the roast date as year then day of year (I picked up a pack of medium roast beans with the date 23006 and the best by was 06/01/2024).

          • @Samsquanch: Wow that is super fresh for roast date 6Jan23.
I think Aldi is year month date

  • +1

Have you tried Columbian? Of all the blends, I find this the best

  • If you order 1kg does it come in one bag or x2 500g bags?
