Thanks for the heads up OP

Should add a VIC tag to it as I had no idea what NGV was :P

Isn't this always free? Is it a bargain or just an announcement?

    • -1

      Such a bargain. Bought 10.

    • +5

Still better than people posting PS5 being in stock as a deal.

  • How do you get tickets? Couldn't find an option anywhere

    • +5

You don't need a ticket. You simply rock up. The food isn't free either and is not included in the "free entry" - in case there are people who assume it is.

Use both hands to give/receive red packets!

    • What of you're an amputee?

    • +3

Never open them in the presence of the giver.

Pretend you don't want the red packets when receiving them!

The lion dance performances in australia and western countries are boring as hell. The ones from south east asia in shopping malls are 100 times better with more acrobative moves and stunts.

So is the National Art Museum of China going to be celebrating Australia Day this year?

Oh silly me I forgot we're talking about VIC. Where China's puppet continues to prepare the State for CCP handover.

You wanna be careful talking like that… We already know Dan monitors dissidents online after the Ballarat arrest of dangerous criminal Ned Kell… oops, I mean pregnant women over Facebook posts that didn't praise Glorious Leader's vision for citizens, and of course he idolizes Winnie the Pr_ck… You could be shipped off for reeducation to Mickleham "quarantine camp" quicker than whispers in the halls of DFAT: "The traitor is at it again" and "Belt and Road Initiative" start again, if you're not careful.

K-POP to celebrate Chinese New Year

      Koreans celebrate lunar yew year…

      • Yea Koreans use Chinese characters in the past as well.

  • The Chinatown celebrations will be far more extensive and traditional, lots of firecrackers planned as well. Good to visit both if you have time.

went by the NGV exhibits a couple weeks ago, I think tied to this. Upper level was all about China's history, but a suspiciously CCPish version - Pictures and books of/by Xi Jinping popping up here and there. A very selective history showcase. And of course no mention of Tibet or Hong Kong. Wonder if someone made a big donation to the NGV..
