Seems to be a cheaper price for the recent Sharp TV deal (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/748383). I believe the panel is made in Japan. Reviews seem good. Apparently this version of Sharp is is high quality, and not a cheapo generic brand.

No complaints watching the tennis! I can see the ball very well haha. The UI of the TV switching channels and browsing the Guide is pretty ugly though.

A budget model for big size.
Nothing more than a basic spec. No MEMC, no local dimming, no VRR or 120hz, no Dolby Vision/Atom certified.
Maybe ideal for streaming content & TV, but don't expect too much for a Bluray class 4k and HDR games.
Price is good for 70", and 3yrs warranty is a plus.
Sharp is owned by Taiwan and only makes entry level TV today.

Took the plunge to replace my 15 year old Panasonic 50" plasma! Went to store and paid $899 including delivery.
can you please elaborate how you got it for $899 with delivery (I'm assuming it was same day delivery??) - did you haggle and ask?
I simply called my local shop and asked what's their best price. They just said $899 incl delivery. :)

Thanks OP. Bought one Click and Collect, sight unseen (sort off,… long story…). If I saw one in store, next to a $4,000 OLED, I probably would have seen it's shortcomings, but next to my cheap 10 year old Kogan it looks great! :-) Very happy with the TV for the money.

Yes set up now. No issues with damaged bevels. Impressive device given the size and cost. I watched the Frozen Planet doco by David Attenborough and it looked amazing.
The UI of the TV to watch free-to-air TV I'll admit is not the prettiest… My parent's LG WebOS UI looks a lot better when going to Guide and switching channels etc. The Google TV part is decent and responsive.
Is the Sharp Android/Google operating system the exact same that Sony use on their TVs?
Bought on Tuesday, delivered yesterday. Top of bezel is bent and it has pop out leave a gap between the bezel and the screen. Box is not damage but unit was damage when packed I assume, disappointing. Now annoyingly have to go through the process of faults with TGG

I called the support number and was told that it gets paid after the end of the promotion (ie next month). I was told it may get paid on the 2-3 Feb,.. or a couple of weeks after that. She looked up my number and told me I was good to get paid.
I must say that I did not like the whole store cash experience. I found it more vague and difficult than I think it needed to be.

I just got this tv today, but can get the audio into my panasonic sabt200 through hdmi arc. Can get the audio through optical but tv speaker still audible, any one else having the same issue?
Sharp Tv was delivered yesterday.
The picture seems to be faded and the colors are not bright.
Any setting recommendations to get a better better picture quality ?
The colours seems to be much better in the TCL 65C635; however, TCL OS is lagging but sharp is quick.
