Can you use a 55-inch 4tk tv as a monitor? Yes. I have done it 4 years ago with an LG OLED TV ( as there were no OLED monitors smaller at the time). Even then (with a better picture and gaming performance) was cheaper than this at 3K for LG 55 C6 (also curved).
You're not going to get 165Hz refresh rate on a TV
Oh I did it when 120hz was even a thing…let alone a graphics card that could do 60hz 4k. Just pointing out that even years later, they are asking for a higher price and it is still not oled (when TVs are much cheaper than 5 years ago). Thus, this is a gimmick targeted to a niche user base who would rather use the latest LG TVs with mount /PowerToys software.

From what I read it rotates so can be used as landscape per standard

LG DualUp is quite a nice monitor. Might keep an eye on it. I need 3 x vertical monitor for my cybersecurity lab environment. Looking at 23.8 inch 75hz IPS minimum.

Very nice, but too rich for me.
For $3,599.20 you get:
1) a 55 inch 1440p display with the same pixel pitch as low as a 1080p 27 inch monitor
2) no picture-by-picture using multiple inputs, only a single input + apps
3) to be the coolest kid at school
it's 3,840 x 2,160 but lack of features and inputs makes this pretty terrible value.
Too small for online sudoku/solitaire though.

This monitor doesn't look like it is at all that practical. Who the heck uses a 55" panel as a monitor? You may as well put up a TV.
Anything beyond 34 inch is considered a stupid size to put on any desk and you lose the actual practical use of a monitor.The 1000R curve is pretty steep, it stays within your FoV. The ppi isn't great though.
The dumbest thing about this "monitor" is that it lacks a DP port facepalm
