            • @ogiusa: Very hard to cancel on pricing error when they had a blanket code for all accessories with no exclusions.

I can see them havong oversold and needing to cancel on that side

              • @Thunder-Wombat: I think the 'oversold' will be the angle they go for if they cancel.

          • @Thunder-Wombat: T&C does not specify preorders? That's where they might catch it.
Update: cancellations have began! I was right.

            • @thousandsuns: Yea they got me, didn't realise they had this in their T&Cs

5.2. An Order submitted by you is an offer by you to purchase the Goods for the price plus the Delivery Charge as shown at the time of submission of your Order. TGG may accept or reject your offer in its absolute discretion.

in the USA the PSVR2 Call of the Mountian bundle is $599 USD

      That's $599 USD + sales tax.

In the US they add sales tax on top, unlike here where the price already includes GST.

      which equates to $853 AUD

+ GST = $938.30 so not much different from our $959 price.

Who cares about reputation? Do you think GG cares about a bunch of folks on a bargain site being unhappy? If they can cancel PS5 orders, they can do the same here. Business is more important than a few unhappy customers.

  • Wonder if franco has been working the phones this morning.

Lol just got the email, this is not being honoured. On the plus side I got a $30 voucher so I suspect you'll all get this too!

Bring on the cancellations and the angry mob! šŸ˜šŸ¤¬

Just got my email, but my $30 voucher literally expires today. Do they want us to quickly make an order straight away or something?

    • +3

Check the date again. Mine expires 24/2/23. 1 month from today.

      • You are correct! Seems I am getting too ahead of myself this year

    Bummer!

Pity those who used gift cards

  • Got the store credit e-mail but order still active and no refund confirmation.

Guessing matter of time till it gets cancelled.

    • Probably just takes a bit of time for them to process it

  • Got cancelation e mail. Super annoying….I used gg gift cards for this deal.

    • +1

      same

    • Same…

  • What a bunch of loosers

  • +1

    Raging.

  • +1

On the plus side the cancellation is probably for the best I would reckon. Bought the original PSVR at launch and only recall using it a few times after the initial novelty wore off. Pretty sure it would have been something similar here.

The Quest 2 on the other hand has seen plenty of use mainly due to the convenience factor. So might just hold off until the Quest 3 is released to see what's up.

  • Does anyone know if there are any conditions for the $30 gift card - like minimum spend or excludes preorders or excludes Apple etc?

    • You can find all that information on the voucher itself.

    What a scum company.

Do we have any legal rights to make them uphold the price? It was their error they should have to own and honour it.

At the very least we should boycott them. I will never shop there again thatā€™s for damn sure.

    • +7

We will all boycott after we spend our $30 vouchers ;)

      • +2

        Naturally :)

But yes after I spend that Iā€™m goooooooone!

    • Why the negs? Do you support them not honouring the price? How bizarre.

And itā€™s not like the Good Guys donā€™t have a reputation for anti-consumer behaviour.

      • +3

The negs are because "do I have any legal rights to make them uphold the price?" is such an entitled viewpoint.

No. No you don't have any legal rights to force a company to lose money.

  • +1

For anyone interested, if you speak to the JB Online team they will bring the price down to $929

Not as good as the deal but if you were getting one $30 bucks off isnt the worst

    • Thanks for pointing this out. I didn't know this was even possible. I'm going for the VR2 without Call of the Mountain so they gave me a smaller discount but that's still pretty good in my books for a preorder.

  • did anyone else pre-order the sense controller charging station along with the ps vr2?

I've had my ps vr2 order cancelled and payment refunded for the psvr2 but the charging station is still active and hasnt been refunded

do you think TGG will be smart enough to cancel this as well seeing as i no longer need it without the ps vr2 or would i have to contact them?

    • +7

I wouldn't assume any intelligence there after this…

    • Are they actually honouring the discount on the charging station?

      • Probably small enough to not matter.

    • +1

They arenā€™t going through everyoneā€™s orders and checking cross compatibility. You need to cancel it yourself if you donā€™t want it.

  • I did not get any cancellation email. Ordered through paypal. Could it be that my order went off their radar?
Unless they cancel they have to honour it?

    • +6

ā€œThank you for bringing this to our attention. We will cancel it now.ā€

Can someone please share their original purchase receipt so others can try to price match/price protect?

  • -7

How ridiculous is it that the entire console costs as much as a headset

    • Not ridiculous?

You expect them to charge far less than the technology is worth, or charge far more for the console like you'd pay for a computer, just to give you a nicer price ratio?

    • Have you ever thought that maybe the headset is appropriately priced, and the console is sold at a loss or sold on a very slim margin? This is often the case with consoles - they make very little profit to get you into their ecosystem, and they make money from games and software.

So in light of that ā€œrevelationā€ - your statement should be:

How awesome it is that the entire console costs as much as the headset

  • +2

    Anyone receive their refunds yet?

    • +2

      Nope

    • +1

Nope. Trying to cancel the charging station from them. Seems the only way to get in contact with them is via messaging and a chatbot.

I won't be ordering with them again!

  • +4

It is worth pointing out that anyone who has been disappointed with the cancellation of this offer can likely achieve a similar level of discount before the release date by buying some discounted Ultimate gift cards and redeeming them at Ebgames. Personally, I did this with Ebgames since you can exchange the ultimate gift cards for ebgames egift cards online with the Ultimate website. Then it is just a matter of placing a preorder online and using the gift cards as a payment method. Since I wanted to do a click and collect I could only pay the $100 deposit online, and additionally needed to go into the store to add all the remaining gift cards against the purchase (which could be done anytime before the release date). These ultimate gift cards have been 10% off (more common) to 15% off (less common) a lot recently. At the time of me writing this comment, there only seems to be a 20x everyday reward points currently on offer at woolworths (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/752815) giving 10% value back in everyday rewards dollars, rather than a straight 10% off On the plus side, it seems the photo in the catalog shows that variable load ($50 to $500) Ultimate kids and Ultimate teens gift cards are available under the current offer, which has usually not been the case with more recent offers.

    • Thanks for this post! Just wanted to query, after the $100 deposit with EB gift card, did you pay the remaining balance in store with ultimate gift cards, or with EB gift cards that are converted from the ultimate gift cards? (Also do they accept multiple gift cards for payment in store?)

My order has disappeared now in the order history of my GG account - but still no refund yet!!!!

I am not going to be happy if I end up having to "chase" after the refund just to get my money back!

    Anyone received their refunds yet?

    • +2

Not got mine and yeah same my order has disappeared from my history, no invoice or anything.

    • Same here… Order gone… No refund yet. Pretty pathetic.

    • +3

No refund yet- paid with PayPal.

I also ordered the charging station, had to cancel that part of the order by contacting the online team. Strangely I got an invoice after requesting that, but none for the PSVR2 bundle.

The $30 gift voucher is annoying me just as much at the moment. Only thing I really wanted was the $30 PSN Gift Card, but "Digital Products cannot be paid for with a store credit, voucher, gift card or eGift Card".

    • +3

Just got a PayPal email about getting a refund. But it's still not gone through yet. Probably take a day or so… I feel sorry for people that bought gift cards to make the purchase.

      • I paid with Afterpay. Still no refund or email notification.

The order still shows up in my Afterpay app with next instalment payment due on 6 Feb.

      • Yeah I bought gift cards

        • Have they refunded you in gift cards then?

          • @proudwanderer: No refund at all at this point. I paid $200 via GC thankfully though, not the whole whack.

      • +1

Just got an email notification from Afterpay that I have been refunded now

  • I've now been fully refunded. Money is back in my account.

  • Still waiting for my refund. 5 business days has well and truly passed but the moneyā€™s not back on my credit card. Not happy!

    • You can call your credit card company and do a charge back

  • Hi guys. Now they started to sell ps vr 2 again. Has anyone used the gift card or 30 dollars store credit card for ps vr2 ? I cant use the gift card and store card…

    • +1

I can confirm that the 30 dollars store credit card was able to be used when I pre ordered just now.
