Bargain. Recycle cans and get $2.40 back. Get drunk on Australia day 🤪

    • If these are anywhere else (not NSW) please tell!

  • Some I got from Amazon recently weren't that much fresher stock.

These will already taste disgusting. Reacts with the aluminium.

I always wondered why Pepsi Max tasted awesome when the first samples were released then since then often taste like metallic water. You must need a factory fresh one to get the real taste.

How? The cans have a plastic liner. See here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_fxiK0fzvS8

She isn't a bad looker… I missed what you were talking about? Cans…? Plastic..? She looks pretty natural and ok to me! :)

I wasn't going to click on the link until I read your comment

        • Love how they call it soda.
She is indeed like those weather girls on tv who make the weather reports interesting

It is the artificial sugar breaking down it doesn't last like real sugar and loses the sweetness and tastes funny close to expiry. Nothing to do with the cans imo.

        • Yep it’s trivial to see that this is the case because the same thing happens with plastic bottles, clearly it’s not the can

    • Yep I was wrong. It is the artificial sweetener breaking down. I can taste the difference a month or two before expiry.

    • Not sure why they taste disgusting as it is the same for bottles but even 1 month before expiry date Pepsi Max is terrible. Shelf life should be addressed, knock at least 2 months off current length.

There are two kinds of people, people who barely ever drink this stuff and people who drink 3 a day.

    • I feel seen.

    • -2

People that drink 3 a day end up with blood pressure problems down the line not to mention other obvious side effects

  • That thing never expires

  • -2

the expiration date doesn't matter for soft drinks, all sugar, and sugar doesn't go bad.

    • Not sure about Pepsi max but the taste definitely changes for Diet Coke. They taste really flat after expiry. Plus these don’t contain sugar, they use artificial sweetener.

    • +1

It matters for artificial sweetener, it breaks down over time and by the expiry date it’s much less sweet

      • Yeap, tastes ok fresh, then it doesn't!

        possibly health concerns maybe?!

Try an expired Coke Zero compared to an Expired Coke. One is drinkable, one isn't.

      • -1

I wouldn't go so far as undrinkable, it just becomes a mixer. Using it with spirits still tastes okay. Of course, I wouldn't be using this with a $200 bottle though lol

        • Each to their own. I have returned many a can at fetes and Bunnings sausage sizzles.

      • +2

I agree. I drink way too much and Coke Zero, Coke No Sugar and Pepsi Max can become horrible close to the best before date. Sometimes it's just a slight change, but most often I find it undrinkable. My view, but as I said I drink way too much of it.

  • 24 packs are being deleted so must have been excess stock that needs to move.
