Original Coupon Deal

I've been waiting for the 12th Gen i7 version of this to come down enough in price to replace a slowly dying laptop.

It's a full $100 cheaper than Shopping Express etc with the other eBay 22% discount.

I've used an 11th Gen i5 version of this laptop, and was very happy with the build quality, screen and twin thunderbolt ports.

RAM is soldered is about the only downside I can see for this device - but 16GB is fine for my needs.

I think you have your calculation incorrect. Most are $1200ish now with the 20/22% code:

  • I've got the i7-11th Gen version and this looks like a nice CPU upgrade. Hoping to see these around $1000 in the coming months as this would be a steal. Still a great deal for anyone that need a new laptop asap.

Quality of the last gen (looks the same) is really good. I'm really happy with it and the battery life is killer on these laptops. I'm also happy with how solid these are coming from the Lenovo Flex's

I had the 12th gen one, the battery life I got was actually only around 6 hours regular usage (browsing, YouTube)

      • Oh wow. Thats a huge drop. I get ~15hrs with battery save mode watching movies, doing work etc on the train. I get around 8-10hrs with balance or performance mode doing much the same. I did see the CPU Max TDP went from 15W to 28W, but I wasn't sure how much that impacted the battery. You've given me something to think about. Cheers

Keep in mind that watching movies is actually fairly light on power usage. Web browsing is surprisingly CPU heavy these days. The difference is even more significant if you're watching downloaded movies rather than streaming.

      • hows your experiences with the laptop overall though? :)

        • I actually returned it because of the battery life actually. Overall pretty good, nice screen and decent performance. The trackpad quality is average though and the battery life was a deal breaker for me.

    Just to let you know
For the fan going off all the time
It was the One Drive constantly trying to synch
I uninstalled and the fan doesn’t kick in all the time now
    Has anyone notice this also?

Try using power saving mode or balanced mode (this worked for me). The fan does the same on the 11th gen under heavy load with performance mode selected.

      • I will try that thank you

  • i5 or i7 for this price from the other deal (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/753361)? Is there much of a difference other than 1tb and i5?

Also if I were to buy who would be the more reputible ebay store to buy from?

    TIA

  • Anyone had any experience with the Warranty process for these? is it 1 year Mail-in only? Are there any spare parts available?

  • I bought the exact laptop oct last year for $1,460. For me It is really well built laptop for the price at the time, it is a real bargain now.
