      Kids. Don't do crack.

How do you know he/she is a kid?

        • +5

No. This is public service announcement for kids that browse this website.

The original comment is a result of crack consumption.

    • +2

Did you just have a stroke?

    • +4

I'm surprised no one is actually picking up on the sarcasm of your comment…

Guys, he's requesting alphabet flash cards…

      • The irony, yeh. Joke go woooosh

  • This seems to be a good deal.for the 6700XT. I am wanting to pull the trigger but was trying to spend closer to 400 for a non-XT but…. This is very tempting.

    • +2

I paid $599 for the Gigabyte 6700XT Eagle back in November.

      • Do you think this is a good deal in that case?

        • +2

Yes and no. You gotta buy something eventually, but GPU prices are cooked and will remain cooked while people pay high prices, so you are stuck.

Buy the card you can afford that meets the capability requirements at the time you need it.

So I'd get it if you need a card. AMD prices haven't really come down. And I've been keeping an eye out for the last 6 months.

          • +1

@ReqelinOz: Thanks for your insights. Don't reeeaaally need right now so will hold for some future drops hopefully.

    • Non-XT is still $520+ on special.
How long are you willing to wait?

  • I just picked up a used 6700xt hellhound - whats the difference between it and the fighter?

I am fairly rural but I feel I overpaid :(

    • +1

I would say the difference would be the heatsink and fans. It still has exactly the same GPU chip and memory. Both models run at exactly the same engine clock. It's just that the Hellhound model has 3 fans on the cooler shroud with a large aluminium heatsink as opposed to the 2 fans on the Fighter model so the Hellhound probably runs slightly cooler under load. Actually come to think of it the Hellhound model probably is built better too.

  • This or 6750xt for $619?

    • Buy this if you're happy to purchase from US amazon

I just purchased the 6750xt and would have grabbed this instead if I had waited a couple of days.

Basically the same performance +/- 5%

      • +1

Yeah that's where I'd landed. Bought this already (figure I can cancel or return if I change my mind with Amazon). I think for my needs it will be easily good enough.

  • +2

    Waiting for 6900 XT deal

  • +1

Is this worth the $100 over the non-XT version in your other Scorptec eBay deal?

    • Higher tier cards will always have a lower price/performance ratio, but the XT difference is close to 20% additional cost for maybe 10% performance increase (at 1080, not sure about 1440). Personally don't think its worth it, but the extra may be worth it if you've got a specific budget.

    • What res you gaming at?

  • This price is inclusive of GST right?…

    Thanks.

    • +2

      Yes

      • Thanks! Just double checking.

    • Less than $1000, no extra import tax

      • Thanks!

      • +2

Has not been the case since July 2018, where the $1000 minimum for GST was removed.

        https://www.ato.gov.au/Business/International-tax-for-busine…

They don't strictly enforce it at the border but the majority of large merchants will recognise they are sending something to Australia and add GST to the price. If they don't, and the item is sent via a fancier courier e.g. Fedex they will look at the value declaration and collect the tax on behalf of the government.

However it's irrelevant here as Amazon does charge the GST in this listing (and all listings sold to AU).

  • Does anyone know if this card is loud when gaming?
    Thanks.

    • +1

I think there are some reports of coil whine. Not sure if its random luck of the draw or on the AMD 6000 series.

    • +1

I have the Gigabyte model which I got last year for $599 brand new and there is a significant amount of coil whine, but nowhere near as much as my used 6600XT which has the loudest coil whine I have ever heard.

  • Got one. Thanks a lot :)

  • +1

Grossly overpaid for a 6700XT last year, but a feature I think is underrated is Fidelity Super Res which can be enabled in basically any fullscreen game. I can now run most games on a mix of med/high settings (PUBG specifically) @ 1080p in game, and the card will upscale to 1440p with 120+ FPS. To the untrained eye it looks good (i'm sure veterans will disagree).
TL;DR - you can get budget 1440p/120fps gaming with 1080p>1440p FSR / settings on a mix of med/high.

@alvian Expiry removed. Please use your role-given discretion and nous when making these types of changes to deny the community deals that are not only live but best in market.

As of this comment, card is $568.74 after adding Alphabet Cards and activating 5% discount. The 1 unit remaining is a dynamic number and doesn't reflect true stock availability. Amazon shifts to pre-prder and/or jacks up pricing when there is true unavailability of stock.

    • Agree keeping it live. I actually paid the current price on the 28th, it must have gone up shortly afetr you posted, but with an additional item (I bought some kitchenaid scissors as more practical than the alphabet cards), I still got both for $574 delivered, which makes this still a good deal.

    • The Alphabet Flash Cards, which must be purchased to achieve the delivered price, were missing in the title. This in turn led to the error. It has now been corrected.

  • I’m new to this 5% game. Looking for the cheapest additional item?

$9.55 Activity Book For 5-6 Year Olds: Mazes, Spot the Difference, Math Puzzles, Picture Puzzles, and More!: (Gift Idea for Girls and Boys) https://amzn.asia/d/iOKDQnC

    Makes it $565.10 total.

Hmm. Amazon adding $27.37 delivery, but “free expedited international freight”??

    • +1

      Better-again: $555.92

Using $3.99 paperback as 2nd item

      • +1

Well done, the community thanks you for your service

        • +1

          Honestly, thank you.

I’ve finally busted a 12+ year HODL, for building a new PC.

I just deleted the book from cart, added the promoted 1tb wd black nvme card & saved even more. It even dropped $7.73 off delivery! Bizarro world.

          $695.51
          $20 delivery
          $715.51 total
          $54.78 discount
          $660.73 final price.

  • Finally got my delivery from Amazon and instead of new graphic card, I got a box of batman Legos! Stupid Stupid. Not happy.

    • Seriously? You was scammed!

Its delivered through Amazons Prime system too

      • Amazon said it was a mistake and on its way back to them for processing (whatever that means). It might take a couple of weeks.

This is sold by Amazon and not some third party.

  • They have increased the price apparently. It shows 592.14 including the paper book you have shared.

I guess it could be due to 1% change as now it shows 4% discount instead of 5%
