    Price matches are not bargains.

    Read the posting rules.

OP just need to update the title to Price Beat (by 5%) rather than Price Match.

      • +4

        Nope

However price beat itself is not a deal
The real deal should be from the merchant who is offering the lowest price.

      • +1

Nope, the post is for Costco, not OW.

    • that's right, they're bourgeois as opposed to bargains

  • +7

    OP, update title to be

Apple AirPods Pro 2 $359.99 Delivered @ Costco (Membership Required) ($341.99 Price Beat @ Officeworks)

Deal is for Costco, but the real deal is the price beat at OW. However, the price beat can't be a deal on its own. Good first post

  • +2

I do not think you can Price match at OW; they say Costco is membership based.

    • +12

Just keep terrorising them on the phone until they give in. Go into a store and scream if you have to, but wear some Ultraboosts just in case they call the cops

      • +3

I’ll go full karen if it gets me a bargain.

    • +5

Just price match Amazon.. it is $1 cheaper, so you should get the same 5% off

      • +1

Yeah, price beat Amazon is more certain, Costco may be hit and miss due to membership requirement.

      • +1

Good find, extra $8 by price beating Amazon if OW refuse to price beat Costco

      • How can you price beat at Amazon when their policy states: "We constantly compare Amazon Australia's prices to our competitors' prices to make sure that our prices are as low or lower than all relevant competitors. As a result, we don't offer price matching"?

    • -1

      yes you can.
TC's do not exclude membership sites.

Our local OW won't price match Costco in store.

As long as sound quality isn't your absolute #1 priority (and if it is, wireless earbuds probably aren't what you're looking for) these things are just fantastic. If you're all in on the Apple-train the convenience, smart connectivity, noise-cancelling, size, battery, charging options etc of these is great. I don't think these sound bad - they're just not top tier yet in that department and I think everything else about them is well worth that small trade off, when it comes to a portable set of tiny wireless earbuds.

    • +1

Respected headphone reviewers have said these are very much top tier in their category. The only competition these have is some Galaxy Bud model.

    • Have you listened to them ever? I have AirPod Max and these new Airpods Pro both and I am astonished how full and good Airpod Pro's sound. Almost as good as Airpod Max and that is a huge compliment.

      • +1

Yeah I guess I was just pre-empting some push back because there's always someone who'll say "these sound shit - end of story". I genuinely think you need to consider the whole picture with this kind of thing though and just personally, I was more blown away buy the things mentioned above more than how they sounded.

I do wish we had a manual EQ in iOS though. Those pre-set EQ types have been there since the iPod and none of them sound great to me. I say that because I do notice that turning on Spatial audio makes some music sound a bit richer and there's a slight bass emphasis which I like, but the way it works, it can make some transient heavy music (usually electronic music) sound a bit echo-y to me. I just want to bump the bass up 1 or 2 notches.

    • people that value sound quality and putting them as a #1 priority won't be buying a bluetooth headphones anyway, it's moot.

  • These or Bose QC II for an Android user?

    • i have these, they are very flat imo. Previous to this i had the Jabra Elite 7 Pro which sounds way better with the EQ…If theres no EQ available on Android i'd avoid…if the Sony XM4 sound anything remotely similar to my XM4 headphones, i'd say get those for sure.

Are V2’s better than V1’s? I found the first gen were absolutely garbage and have returned the about 6 times for repair and replacement and always have had issues with people not being able to hear me properly on the other end

    • +1

      Just use the batphone

    • +1

      yes, they are better

    • Much better! Check mkbhd’s review.

      • Shame he doesn’t mention the mic at all

  • +8

    Price match with Mediaform $348 - 5% = $330.6

Did it yesterday at Officeworks Ringwood without any issues.

  • Is this the best wireless earphones in the market for microphone/phone calls use?

Asking coz I see everyone using one, so assuming it's good for phone calls?

    • +2

No, they’re rubbish. But, as Bluetooth microphones go, they’re the top of the rubbish heap

    • Personally I'd say YES if you're in the Apple eco system. If you want better sound quality then there are other options out there; if you want mic / phone call quality then the AirPods are pretty good. Currently I'm using the AirPods 2nd Gen for this reason. I know the sound quality is very average but the mic quality is not bad for a sub $200 TWS style buds.

    • +2

i use it 90% for just listening to podcast, spatial audio with movies, music and nc when mowing the lawn and house work. For phone calls I have to speak up sometimes for the other end to hear me in a noisy area but for zoom meetings it's always been great. v2 has improved NC, spatial audio and volume control, making it even better than the previous version.

costco has a great return policy, use it for a year or two and then once battery is dead you can return them back :)

    • that's right crush the box burn the manual and twist the cables, they're take it back with a big smile.

    • -1
      • I've previously returned a number of items after they failed in 1-2 years no issues.

  • you can price beat for something that requires a membership?
that's like saying price beat the handset with a plan.

    • you can price beat for something that requires a membership?

not always… some might, others won't

LOL yeh, you mean during Black Friday?!

Let’s wait another year… I’m sure these will be even cheaper then.

Better yet, why not recommend to everyone to use tin cans and save themselves some serious money?

  • Was denied price matching at office works at Kotara. Went to Newcastle office works and they price matched. The store manager said that usually they don’t price match membership stores but the higher ups have specifically told them to allow Costco price matching if you can prove you are a member. So that’s some info if it helps anyone

  • Has anyone had success with pricebeat?

Is it best to call 1800 number? Any tips please?

    • I called the 1800 and they were amazing to deal with and got the iphone down to $1605.00 (so price match and beat as well) Thank you for this post as well!

  • Officeworks Gawler Place (in SA) was able to do Price Beat with Costco so thanks OP for the post!

  • I personally don’t like the fit of these ones as they won’t fit properly into my right ear tried all the ear plugs however, sound quality is excellent.

Bought these off MyDeal + Cashrewards for about $335 but then refunded them after finding out how much radiation they emit (hint: much more than competitor brands). Call me a conspiracy theorist but there is no way having more radiation than a microwave and a bluetooth radiation range of up to 800 feet directly next to the brain can be good, 10+ hours a day.

Don’t believe everything you read on Fakebook.

Not Facebook, actual scientific basis for it. Not saying it's right, but it's not a risk worth taking imo.

        All the studies are cited.

        • That article is for the older model though, written in 2020. The Pro v2 recently released. Radiation levels may very well have been addressed by Apple in the new version..

          • @Warehouse: There's always one

          • @Warehouse: Again, we are playing with "maybes" here. I'm simply saying what I found and if anyone else reads it and decides they aren't taking the risk either that's their decision. The headphones are amazing, I tried them in store that's what prompted me to buy them in the first place.

  • These + Spatial audio + Tiesto’s Boom will change your life.

I gave my Sony XM4 headphones to my dad after using these for a week.

Not sure is all OW work this way.
I don't feel the cashier is nice to me when I want to do a price match.

    • call them. much easier to get a price match.

      • Thanks will try next time.

      • Do you mean call the local store? Or is there some way of calling a central office instead, maybe for if shipped?

        • +1

No, call the central office. It’ll be free delivery. 1300 OFFICE (1300 633 423) and say you want to price beat Costco.

  • Got my price beat using Mediaform yesterday at OW Wentworthville with no issue at all (still had 10 in stock when I left) - just have to tell the guy the model number is the SKU.

Also called OW Eastern Creek and they can do the price beat, however, said no stock when I got there - they listed they have stock online.

  • Also got OW price beat Mediaform at Bourke St Melbourne today.

  • Tried at officeworks in perth cbd..got denied saying they cant pricematch mediaform..guess you have to get lucky
