Samsung 49" Odyssey G9 LC49G95TSSEXXY Curved 240hz QLED Monitor $1599 + Delivery ($0 C&C VIC/WA) @ PLE

240

Pretty straight forward - looks like there is another special on the Odyssey G9 49" Samsung.

PLE, CentreCom, Scorptec, and Amazon.

Samsung direct also - but no stock, so no ability to place orders currently. (Shame as they had the highest 8% Cash Back offer at the moment).

I've gone with PLE for a pick up with 1.3% CR.

Happy hunting.

(I have one of these already and decided to add in a second - mixed reviews, but i've had no real issues with my current one. Just wanted more screen land).

  • Tempted. Reckon I'd be able to run Fortnite at full res at 240fps with a 5800X3D and 6900XT?

    • I don’t think on epic settings. I’m trying to think back but I was maybe getting 80+ fps 5120x1440 on a 3090ti. I had a 6900xt before that but I don’t think I played fortnight on it. I’ve got the LS49AG950NEXXY but I’m assuming they’re almost the same

    • Tried with 4090, RT maxed with the new engine upgrade etc, answer nope

      • What would I get using a 3080ti

I'm a monitor if you know what I mean. I'm SSEXXY and I know it.

    • Samsung has SSEXXY on all their monitor models….wonder who they are targeting with that

  • +2

same price and free shipping with computer alliance ebay.

    • +2

^Would go for ComputerAlliance + eBay

Had a couple poor experiences with PLE 🤷

      -

The eBay listing currently says both out of stock and limited quantity available. lol

    • They were back order with them.
      15th Feb…
      Same on their Amazon listing.

PLE already confirmed my order. So seems they have stock accurately noted and on hand.

There is scorptec, and others around with the same offer if anyone prefers.

5120 x 1440 for those who are wondering.

    • +6

2 1440p monitors welded together for science

    • Cheers

      • +1

nice to know that my two Dell S2721QS's are both the same width as this but twice as many pixels.

  • +6

Thanks OP, I could only afford to buy 5.

    • 3 more than me!
You got plent of coin$ by the aounds of it. Mine are used for tax purposes!
      Big excel sheets for accounting and trading… (;

I have had a few 49" screens and this one is awesome for work and gaming. The curve is much better than the previous models which might sound silly but with previous models I had to move left/right to have a good alignment to read on the sides. This is more just a looking left/right but I do split panels into 3 sections. For gaming, I use it at 120hz and not the 240hz setting just because I share the screen between my gaming pc and laptop so there are some limitations on the laptop cable causing me to have to switch it to 120hz. So I just leave it on that.

  • Tempted. Is this the good model one? Something about a Neo revision or something?

    • +1

      G9 vs Neo G9 😰

      • +1

Ah yes, the Neo G9 is the better recommended version albeit dearer. Hmm.

      • G9 is more than enough for most - the difference is generally minimal or not relevant to most users. Check the details and do a comparison then decide if its work the extra coin$ or not… Pretty simple really.

  • @mickyb80 OP do you stack them vertically?

Equivalent to a larger resolution curved TV

    • +1

Plan is to stack them yes.
Had one for about 12 months but always waiting for another good deal like this.
Been looking and will need some sort of floor stand to stack these. My desk is glass, so not keen to put one on top of the other with a metal bracket on glass! Ha!
If you find one, let me know… assuming thats why you asked also?

    • @UsernameChecksIn - Did you manage to find a stand?
Just been looking - there seems to be a few options around…

  • *** Remember this is on sale with many resellers and dealers, so if you missed stock from Samsung like me, there is other option. ***

Prob ahould have checked the distys before buying from another reseller. Ha! Oh well.

  • Any ideas on how to get this to an apartment while working full time? Not ideal to leave in the entrance hall

    • +1

      Send it to work.
      Click and collect?
      Mates house or work?
      Post office?
Front desk security / bell boy if your building has one?
Lots of ideas - maybe just have a think about it and/or outside of the box (pun intended). ha!

      • Thanks for the suggestions. Unfortunately no-one seems to offer c&c for these types of monitors haha. Will see if there's somewhere at work that can accept it.

        • aaahhh - sure they do. most of the PC reseller stores offer C&C. i'm picking this order for mine tomorrow C&C…
Guess it depends where you live…

    • Set up an AusPost parcel locker. Big items are kept in the store.

      • So if it doesn't fit in the locker they keep it at the office? I thought you had to put in your address so that if they can't deliver it to the box they deliver it to the address instead

  • +1

Have you guys seen the new oled models coming out…. now those look amazing!

    • As does the price! lol

  • I run a 32" 3550x1440, and a 2560x1440 vertically next to it, and find I'm turning my head all the time (although not to enough of a degree to be a problem).

I can't imagine how much you'd be turning your head using something like this.

Can see the sense in something like this for filling your peripheral vision in games (and particular flightsims), but I reckon it'd be too much for productivity, unless you're not really looking at the sides regularly (when working, I'm constantly going back and forth between different windows on my screens).

    • Sitting a little too close? Dunno - use 1 already and love it. Add the second and should be double the love. Like Austin said - "Twins Basil… Twins!!!"

  • This or the Odyssey Ark? 🤔

    • +1

      This is x3 price

    • The Ark lacks a dp input

  • I started considering it and noticed the chonky weight of 14kg which is almost twice what the Magnus Pro monitor arm is supposed to be able to support lol.

    Guess I saved $1600! :D

  • Is the Neo G9 going to be on sale too?

    • I'd imagine at some point, but not for awhile while they still have and built the G9…

  • Looks like its expired. Updated price is still discounted, but $1999.

  • Fyi there is a vivi table arm on amazon for $130 and can confirm it works

    • Code doesn't work

      • +1

its a unique code, under the price of the listing you should see "pay only AU $1,479.00. Show me how", think its for eBay plus members

        • +1

" Pay only AU $1,519.05 with …" for me - for reference only… just plugged the second on in and she is fired up just fine! :)

    • +1

      Thanks @RogueWolf.
This price just piped TGG commercial.
+ eBay gift cards, really made it worthwhile.

      • no worries, enjoy!

    • Doesn't work for me, I see $1699 and a take $84.95 off for ebay plus?
