The offer is valid for redemption until 31.10.23 and is redeemable once per customer during the offer period.

So we can redeem again if we got during the last offer period?

    • +3

didn't let me once I got redirected to amazon

    • +27

      Not for me unfortunately.
      Got this message:
      "Something went wrong
Sorry, you have exceeded the maximum quantity of 1 allowed for this product"

I must have used this on the last offer period so not again.

      • +2

Their terms state once per offer period - it should say once per card.

      • Nope wouldn't let me.

    • Why would this valid question get negged?

      • -1

Who knows why people do things. Possibly the same reason some people want "The Voice" in parliament, read The Guardian, voted Dan Andrews back in (govern me harder daddy!), and watch garbage like "The Project."

    • Yup just sign up for a Step Pay card use the virtual card number, get the $15 bucks and close your Step Pay card…

  • +6

Thanks OP, I didn’t even know about this before.

      • +3

How does your mind work jv? Do you think everyone knows exactly what you know?

        • -5

It's been posted on OzBargain several times already…

          • +3

@jv: Unlike you, they may not have the time to view every new deal post.

            • -2

@Diji: They've been on OzBargain for 13 years.
              They've had enough time.

              • +2

@jv: It seems you've underestimated how many new posts are made every day.

                • @Diji: No, I definitely haven't…

                  • +2

                    @jv: You definitely have.

      • sik mate

  • +1

Thanks OP, worked like a charm

  • +3

    Nice, got $15 :D

    • +2

how you got it ? just save mastercard as default payment method ?

  • +12

Not eligible on existing Prime account that used offer in the past.

This account is not eligible for this offer.

This benefit was used by this account previously. Contact Amazon Customer Service if you have questions about this transaction.

    • +1

      Same error

    • ;-;

  • Nice, thanks OP

  • Not eligible.

  • +2

Sorry, you have exceeded the maximum quantity of 1 allowed for this product

    Ah well

  • Thanks OP. I got it - I only have a transaction account and debit card with them.

  • Thanks , got it…

  • +1

Hell yeah, got a $15 gift card, awesome

  • Just wondering if I can stack this with the 6 month student trial if I signed up to that now..

    • I don’t think it would work. I just signed up to the 30 day free trial through Amazon, then I tried to activate the Mastercard offer (hoping I would get the $15 voucher), but it just said if I activated the offer my 30 day trial would end and my membership would then get managed by MasterCard.

      • Yeaaa same here. I used 30 free trial a few months back, now comes up with
"Sorry, you have exceeded the maximum quantity of 1 allowed for this product"

    • How do you get a student trial in Australia? With Amazon au or us?

  • Thanks, OP. Works a treat.

  • +4

I gotta get Commbank, so many deals.

    • +2

In fact, I got Westpac since I see so many deals with Westpac card.

Anyway, thanks OP, got my $15.

    • +7

Just remember to do the $2K dance every month to avoid paying the monthly account keeping fee.

      • +2

Or open a CDIA account with CommSec and request a Debit MasterCard.

No account keeping fees on the CDIA or any deposit requirements, as long as you keep the attached CommSec trading account open (which also has no monthly fees or requirements).

(This deal worked for me on my card which is only linked to a CDIA, but can't vouch for it working for every deal.)

        • +1

Or open a CDIA account with CommSec and request a Debit MasterCard.

Nice. Tried it with Westpac, but it turns out they don't issue a card with their CIA.

as long as you keep the attached CommSec trading account open

Any gotchas on this one? I think CBA closes off your account automatically after 6 months of non-activity. So, I will need to make one or two trades in that time period?

          • +3

@DoctorCalculon: I’ve not made trades and had a zero balance on my CDIA account for years. Still open.

        • How do you request a debit master card from the CDIA account? Can’t see it anywhere.

          • @Rupture: I would like to know this too. I had one years ago but I didn't use it so they didn't reissue it. I wonder if you ring Commbank or Commsec. I think it would be Commbank.

  • Too easy, thanks,

  • +1

    valid for redemption until 31.10.23

    Better hurry

    • Nah, fella! They can crawl like a tortoise on this one.

  • +6

Did not accept my cba credit card

  • Wait are you sure? I don't know why it says $50 balance on mine

  • Thanks OP

  • +3

I'm on free trial of Amazon Prime.
Does not give $15, but gives me 3 months of Prime :)

    • +3

Oh good to know, I'm also on the free trial but will likely go for the annual sub for $59 which is ~4.92/m, so might wait to activate this deal after to get the credit instead, just for that extra 25c like a true ozbargainer haha

    • Maybe if you have another MC and you add it on the account, you might get the $15?

  • Waited for 20 seconds to check card and waited for another 20 seconds to get $15 from MasterCard. Done. Thank you.

  • +1

I'm with CommBank, but only have EFTPOS :/

    • +1

eftpos was born right here in Australia, and we’re committed to doing the right thing by our fellow Aussies

Oh how those words sound so hollow now…

    • +1

It's free to change to the debit MasterCard which works with this offer.

    • +3

I didn't think there were still Eftpos-only cards around. CommBank sent me a debit MasterCard for my account around ten years ago. "I never asked for this!" I thought, I'll just continue using my Keycard!

But the next time I used by Keycard in the ATM, it sucked it up and never gave it back. I complained to them and they shrugged and said "Use the debit MasterCard, Luke!"

      • +7

Did you tell them: “my name is Lint!”

  • Got $15 thanks so much. Standard debit mastercard

  • Worked! Thank you got the 3 months

  • +1

“Sorry, you have exceeded the maximum quantity of 1 allowed for this product”
Always get same message for my commbank cards and even for westpac during one of their similar offer.

    • yeah me too, never got this to work even with an eligible card…

    • Check ur email. Same happened to me.

  • Thank you

  • Thanks for $15 credit.

  • Worked for me with a yearly subscription in effect and a debit mastercard. Thanks op!

  • well that was shockingly easy. cheers!

  • Got it. Thanks OP!

  • Does this work if you add your card to an Amazon account in another name?

    • Yes, worked with a different name

  • Got 15. Looking to buy something out of the ordinary. Any suggestions?

  • +3

Why doesn't this show up in the commbank rewards?

  • Tks op!

  • +1

Does not work on standard Mastercard credit card:

"Looks like the card number you entered is not eligible for this benefit."

  • Have done this last time around…getting "Sorry, you have exceeded the maximum quantity of 1 allowed for this product"

  • +3

For those that tried and got an error - check your email.

I got an error and gave up, but received a confirmation email anyway and now have $15 in my Amazon account.

All done on my phone, if that helps.

  • +2

Same error Sorry, you have exceeded the maximum quantity of 1 allowed for this product

    Would have been nice.

    • I got the same message.

Unfortunately for me, I never claimed it in the past

      • +2

Same for me. Never worked before and still didn't work.

        • +2

And good luck speaking to support. They answer fast enough, but they hang up while you're talking, if you even get that far! 😅

Tried a few times already as the card says unexpected error please contact us.

  • +1

Sweet. Thanks OP. This didn't work for me last time I tried, but did this time. $15 gift card balance added straight away (already a Prime member).

  • Thanks OP. Got the 15

  • thanks OP woohooo

  • Thank you thank you :D

  • +2

Tried to google search to find the link - a bit wary of entering personal info on a link I just clicked on from here, but cant seem to find it?

    • I'm the same, seems like the perfect scam opportunity. But everyone seems to be getting the reward so must be legit.

    • +2

It's safer using a link from a trusted source like OzB rather than a random Google search.

      • To be fair, if you stick on the first page of google, it's usually trusted well known sources.

    • I thought the same. Somehow add the $15 dollars to everyone's account then swindle them for much more. Profit.

    • Went ahead with it anyway. My main concern was giving out the email address associated with my bank account (main email address). Tried with the email I use for Amazon, and it worked! $15 ty

    • I confirmed with Mastercard this is a legit promo from them.

  • Sweeeet $15 thanks OP!

  • Thanks, got it free 3 months for my platinum awards card

  • thanks OP, got the $15

  • Thanks worked for my basic CBA debit card. 3 months free

  • Thanks, OP, got the $15 from my debit MasterCard.

  • Dammit. CBA gives out VISA debits for business accounts.

  • Worked for me! Thanks OP!

  • Thanks! Just got $15 credit on my debit card.
