Backpacks Lobo $36, Blackburn/Berkley $40, Blackout II $45 + $10 Delivery ($0 Members/ $150 Order) @ BlackWolf

WOLFPACK

New customers received extra $10 off first order with coupon WOLFPACK. Original coupon post.

I was scrolling through Amazon coupon deals after expiry of a recent deal.

The inside pocket of my ozbargain linked, much loved, much used, many year old, dual pocket, ~$30 special Xiaomi backpack has finally ripped, so when I came across a coupon for Blackwolf, I thought I'd do some investigation and it turns out they are having their own sale and combined with the free postage for members (which is free signup) plus the $10 off coupon for new users, I think there are a few cheap options for you if you're looking for a cheap backpack especially for a laptop.

These days there seem to be several cheap backpack options available from other brands, but at ~$40 I couldn't resist trying and stocking a few different kinds for travel and giving myself a few options

If you're a first-timer the free postage plus $10 off would make the Lobo a crazy deal!

I've listed a few options in this range below but there are several more in the $59 range and above if you're looking for more serious travel options but do your own research regarding the price because sometimes other retailers have sales (I checked every one my list and couldn’t find cheaper elsewhere)

Please do post your experience with Blackwolf but at $40 I'm not overly fussed at the moment whether I've got the best backpack (do feel free to prove me wrong in the usual ozbargain manner!)

Bought a black wolf backpack first time I went traveling and I still use it 15 years later, although I've had to patch some holes. Has great zips

Just bought this sleeping Backpacker 50 Sleeping Bag - Pink - $10 Delivered for my daughter. Was listed as $20 (down from $109.99) with code above brought price to $10, then during checkout, the shipping changed from $10 to a members discount of free aswell. Not too shabby! Thanks OP!

      A strictly summer bag

      • +1

Definitely, well aware it'll be useless in winter, or probably camping in general, as it's very light weight. We recently bought a pop-top campervan, beds/blankets etc, so we aren't likely to be 'roughing it' anytime soon. But for $10, she's got an overnight sleeping bag to use at friends' houses for years to come.

  • My Black Wolf Oxford is pretty tired after 12 years of use (internal pockets torn, lost the chest strap, water bottle holder elastic gone) but it's otherwise been an amazing pack - ordered the Stanford, hopefully it's a suitable replacement. Cheers OP!

Warranty isn't worth the paper it is written on. One trip overseas and the zip was jamming and they claimed airline damage and didn't honour the warranty. If their bags can't handle two trips on a baggage carousel it shouldn't be called luggage. If you are going to buy do so without banking on the warranty.

Had the same issue, worn through at bottom just from son's school usage, zips stiff and jam…Blackwolf did nothing…last time I but their products. I have an old canvas Paddy Palin from 40+ years ago that is still in fair nick

  • Was looking for a new carry-on pack that was compressible (hard frame on my Osprey made it impossible to compact down for carry on size requirements, not that I ever got pinged for it)

I went for the Jet Black Vital for $67 https://blackwolf.com.au/collections/clearance/products/vita…
Also picked up the pink sleeping bag because CHEAP

Looking to use both on my next summer trip to Japan

  • Does anyone have any experience with the Maikoh?

I want to know if the main compartment has a top opening like a large tube, or if the zips on the front of the bag allow access to the main compartment.

None of the pictures/reviews online talk about that, which is odd because it's a large selling point for a bag used for travel (and hiking to a lesser extent).

I reached out to them directly during boxing day sales but haven't heard back.

  • I am very frustrated. the website doesn't spit out a link to update password and I can't log in. put so much time trying to get this deal. i'm really done

    • I just signed up and checked out via paypal with no need to login

edit: i think i got the last one, sorry guys

  • Thanks OP, got a sleeping bag and the 3/4 mat.

    • Which bag did you go for? I'm considering the Jumbo 3D 500.

I went for the Coast series P5 for $30. I want it to be reasonably compatible with hiking and I sleep warm.

  • Thanks OP, got a Coast series P5 for $20 delivered, not bad at all…

  • NO RETURNS ON SALE ITEMS

I made the mistake of buying some chairs on special from their website without noticing this at the bottom of the page:

"This item cannot be returned to us if you change your mind, if the sizing is incorrect or if you feel that the product does not meet your expectations."

The chairs were terribly uncomfortable (solid bar under your legs and solid bar in the middle of your back) and odd dimensions (arm rests about 50-70mm too low)
