This just came up in the ads on my Facebook and it looked pretty interesting - the Australian Electoral Commission is giving away a free $10 iTunes voucher to everyone who uses their "The Spotters' Guide to Unenrollers" Facebook app. It doesn't require you to enter 10 friends' names (I only entered 1 friend's name, it might even work without putting any friend's name in) - as soon as I clicked "Finish" I received my voucher in my email, seems pretty decent to me!
Seriously don't know what happened. I went onto ozbargain when there were only 7 likes for this post. So shortly after OP posted. Went to AEC fb site but could not find any app whatsoever. It just took me to their fb page, could not find the app anywhere. So don't understand how other ozbargainers' got it?

Over 4,000 clicks - even I didn't think this post would get this big. It looks like the AEC have taken it down for the moment, probably trying to get rid of the loophole that lets you get a voucher without even entering your friends' details

Yet another promotion stuff up by an incompetent organisation. If they want to live by facebook they must learn to die by facebook too.
Yet many of these companies seek people with fancy law backgrounds or business degrees instead of people in the communications field. Then they wonder why their online presence is rubbish!
dont understand why every company out there wants to get a name for themselves on facebook of all places. they should be using their website and public campaigns.

It's been pulled I have a direct link in my history but going to it tries to auth on facebook and it keeps erroring now.. which is annoying as it pops up every 3sec to try and auth again.

Until 20/07/2012 there was only 38 likes.. Today..729 and counting!! lol Would be interesting to see the look of the graph updated with this week 'result'. It seems their promotion worked.. alright :p
Edit: My bad, the number eg 38 is that week only new likes.. while the 729 is the total likes but I would assume this week likes would skyrocket
