You don't get the $100 gift card on the $254 listing, only the specific $299 Bundle Listing FYI.

  • Just keep in mind law enforcement access to these devices.

    https://www.news.com.au/technology/online/security/amazons-r…

    • That's in the US.

Are they allowed to do it here?

        Yes, everywhere.

What do their T&C's say about who owns the footage?

          • @jv: It has nothing to do with who owns the footage. Law enforcement can make a request to a company based here and get data from their parent company. I have done this in past jobs.

            • @nedski: Law enforcement can get your call logs from telcos and logs from ISP.

            • @nedski: I don't get it, can't they also listen to your phone calls and access your phone camera and any other device connected to the internet?

              • @michael9865: Yeah. They can.

              • @michael9865: Ring stores your footage in the cloud as well as it being accessible through the internet. Both accessible to law enforcement.

I have IP cameras, however they only have local access and the external access to it is not through a camera company so only I have access to it.

                • @nedski: Yeah your right but I'm living life on the basis that they could ve watching me on my phone camera shitting in the toilet, and weiting this comment.
So going of that, if they want to survey who comes and goes to my house, I don't really care as long as it is legal.

As show me another device where I can access anywhere in the world to see packages arrives and talk to visitors

  • Beat me to it.

    • Important point, but the other main brands are more expensive.

i got the echo show 5 + ring door bell during black friday for cheap. its fantastic.

  • Is this the pic of the video doorbells that can be integrated with cameras in the same app? Or is another brand better? Any options for remote unlock for a front gate I can have incorporated?

  • Good deal or can wait for Black Friday? I was thinking to get a video doorbell for my place ;-)

    • Amazon has special on bundle with Echo Show 5 (2nd Gen, 2021 release) and Ring Video Doorbell (2nd Generation) for $133.

With Doorbell 3 price for bundle is $208.

Seems to be all colours of echo and the Satin and Venetian Bronze doorbells with Doorbell 2, can only see Satin with Doorbell 3

  • I got this and the echo show and when you talk through it to the person in front of the doorbell, its full volume so the whole street can hear your convo. Has anyone else had this issue? Ive tried to turn volume down everywhere possible but no fix. Called and complained to Ring and they said someone would call me back after failed trouble shooting but no one did. I think i got version 1 or 2 if that matters.
