I'm not 100% sure on the availability of the different offers, but I believe ebay plus members are eligible for at least a $75 reduction ($1420), and there are also targeted discounts of $120 on offer (I'm guessing it's this campaign ), bringing it down to $1375.

They will not as stock levels are quite high compared to 65. 55 is great and I purcahesd for 1550 before Xmas. 🙂

The C2 is generally considered to be at least slightly better than the Sony, in particular for gaming. For movies people seem to like the Sony, and apparently its inbuilt speakers are quite good. I was also tempted for the C2, but decided that the Sony was a better price point for me.

Are the panels used in the Sony 80J as good as the panels in the LG C2 in regards of image retention?

WARNING: Just a heads up to those that bought the A80J “55 from Sony ebay. Mine was supposed to be delivered next week on the tracking and it turned up at my house without any notification today… Luckily there was someone at home to sign for the delivery.
It still hasn’t updated to delivered on my eBay account yet even though it’s sitting in my lounge room now.

FYI, product listing has disappeared off JB-Hifi's website, and Good Guys won't deliver to my area (Metro WA) for some reason, so I was left with Harvey Norman or Sony Australia Online.
I don't trust nor want to support Harvey Norman, and saving $100 is a bonus! Hopefully Sony are good to deal with direct if I have any issues.
