Chemist Warehouse: 50% Upsized Cashback (Capped at $15 Cashback and 1 Transaction Per Member) @ TopCashback AU

2323

Reached out to the rep from TopCashback AU to see if there was a Chemist Warehouse deal coming (because I'm running low on panadol, obviously) and the rep surprised me with this wonderful new offer.

This deal is way better than Shopback's previous offers, most of which has a lower cap and requires Westpac Lounge. This deal can be taken up by everybody, nobody is left behind here!

Don't forget you get a $30 bonus (confirmed when referee earns $10 cashback) when referring another person. If you don't have an account yet and would like to enjoy the benefits of this deal, use the OzB referral generator to join up if you haven't.

Enjoy :)

GST is not included in the transaction value so spend $33

      • Good point.

      FAQs

“Most retailers calculate the cashback based on the purchase amount excluding taxes and delivery charges. So if your cashback is slightly lower than expected, this will likely be why.”

  • Great job by saving 15 cents on panadol

  • How long does it take to track? Made purchase about hour ago and nothing has come through yet

    Edit - just tracked.

  • Does chemist warehouse not offer free shipping over $50 anymore? Or it is dependent on location? Can’t find anything in their website advertising this anymore.

    • Yes looks like free delivery has been removed in S.A. Mind you they must have lost money on free $50 deliveries I would think.

  • Ordered about 1.5 hours ago & got the notification to pick my order up

But absolutely NO cash back which is quite disappointing

    • that is worrying, just did an order and no email and site doesn't even have that I have clicked…

    • Did you spend at least $33.00?

    • Looks like I got an email saying it tracked. So should be all good hopefully. I recorded video of me clicking through everything so there is evidence.

  • Somehow I wonder how cashback website like this get their money from, is it from the way they monitor user behaviours? Especially when they produce browser add ons?

    • Usually they don't offer this high. This is money out of money they make on other purchases. Theory is channeling buyers and the site splits the marketing / commissions with the user. Targeting buyers is also probably part of the game and selling anonymous usage patterns to marketing firms to better help campaigns maybe that too. Remember those free to ride bikes were trying to monetise user behavior by selling data on where people ride to and it all fell flat.

Cashrewards used to be listed on the ASX. If you find their old presentations, might be a good read if you are really interested.

      • Just realised Cashrewards is part of ANZ

        https://www.spglobal.com/marketintelligence/en/news-insights…

        • They bought them up.

Not sure why they would do that. But companies have an odd way of spending money on stuff then finding out it isn't such a good idea. If you are a bank why would you buy a cash back business? You might as well go into the building and renovating business since you are in the home lending business. Crazy stuff.

  • What will "normal" CW cashback be after 50% special offer ends today?

    • Appears to be 5%

      • Thank you. Thats pretty good!

  • +1

Wow. Finish dishwasher tablets that were previously $12.99 a pack are now $23.99 a pack.

    • Old special price. New catalogue as of today.

  • I haven’t got my cashback tracked since 00:40, 10hours from now. Anyone has got the same situation ?

    • Placed my CW order an hour ago and my $15 is now showing. Payable in 8 weeks.

      • Good for you. I also purchased from cw and still not tracked, 14hours

  • +1

Topcashback has been updated the error from 5% to 50% for my account. Please check your account 'earning' section

  • Funny how I looked at a couple of men's fragrances in the early hours and now the prices have gone up heaps..

    Jack's here

  • Thanks OP. Used referral.

  • Can you use them in store? Or is it only online purchases?

    • online only.

  • How do these companies actually make money?

    • +1

In this case it's a loss leader deal to get us all to sign up (which I'm happy to as I used to use them in the UK).

In general cashback sites skim a portion of the referral fee they agree with retailers - and we get the rest.

    • They basically split the "promotion/referral fee" that Amazon product associated refferal links would be getting with the customer

  • I think Jack has found it's way to CW too.
Nasonex Allergy Non-Drowsy 24 Hour Nasal Spray Twin Pack 2 x 140 Sprays has been $31.99 for some time untill this morning up to $40.99
    Massive increase

  • Thanks, very interesting to find out about a new cashback kid on the block. Hopefully they have more integrity than Cash Rewards and Shopback (which a few of us are making a detailed complaint to the ACCC about for their deceptive conduct and obfuscation in not following up legitimate transactions properly).

  • no browser extension for australia?

  • -1

Been 4 hours since order. Still no tracking..suspecting it will not go through..

    • +8

It can take up to 7 days. It's only been 4 hours and you're already negging. Give it time.

      • Still have not got the cashback and has been sitting in the claims for 2 weeks with no updates

  • TopCashback shows "Capped at up to $15 per transaction per member" rather than for 1 transaction per member.

  • +1

How long does it take for them to confirm a cashback?

    • Cashback came through once chemist warehouse sent me a notification that my C&C was ready for collection

      • I mean when its ready to withdraw?

  • Does this work on prescription

    • +1

From their T&Cs: "Prescriptions, Pharmacist only medication, Immunisation services & Covid19 Antigen self tests are ineligible for cashback."

  • My cashback tracked within an hour roughly. Although I did use the referral link generator and haven't seen a cashback from this as yet.

    • The person who referred you gets $30. There is no sign up bonus

      • Oh yes your right, I was a little too quick to read $10 thinking that was a bonus for new people to sign up but now see if once $10CB is received that the referred gets the bonus. Oh well, helped someone get $30

    • me too. i ordered just now for my husband with new account and it has the same problem

      • +3

I have 21 referrals since last night

Impressive. I have double that 🤠

        • Crap, I had an account and had to change/delete it but forgot to change my initial Referral code here which I setup yesterday, dam as no doubt there may have been a few!

          • @Borg: Same, I missed out on so many referrals because I had the incorrect link on OzB. Only found out after I realised my account had no referrals

  • Is there any signup bonus?

    • Not in Australia. Seems to be a signup bonus in UK and US

  • How to get 30 bucks for telling a friend? Now it says :"Refer a friend and earn $10 free cash back"
    They changed so quick?!

    • +1

Where did you see that? My banner says $30

      • in my account, under the tell a friend

        • Strange as my account still says $30

    • Mine tracked $30 from someone using my link. My banner also still says $10. Maybe they are in the middle of changing it with the influx of ozbargain

  • +1

Hopefully not another JamJar scam company who collects cashbacks for a few months, never pays anyone anything and closes shop soon after…

    • I got same issue which I can’t withdraw money.
I’ll not be in this time until all things are cleared

  • Got am email that my order has been tracked but the earning section of the webpage shows nothing

    • Try now

      • +1

Now it's showing with correct date and cashback. First experience with so much anxiety

  • -2

This is worse than the shopback offering by far… One transaction only makes this very meh in comparison but still good for that one transaction

  • Has anyone tried making 2 or more transactions and they all tracked? Just wondering as the website does imply $15 per transaction rather than per member, as well as no mention of a transaction limit

    • +1

On site it states “ $15 per transaction per member”

If there was a CW near here for CC, I would have tried multiple orders but not at $10 shipping per order 😅

    • +1

I thought around midnight I sawed it say per member, now it has $15 per member per a transaction.

Edit: Website now states Capped at up to $15 per member (max 1 transaction) and Rep has confirmed this aswell.

      • Yup, wording has been changed by rep/team to make it more clearer

  • Estimated 8 weeks for payable, I guess this means also 8 weeks for any referrals

    • By that time you will have forgotten all about TopCashback. It is not like they email you about important transactional updates.

      • it's why one should keep a record of all cashbacks (& screengrabs/record) at time of purchase. Just mark them as paid once confirmed or when you cross-check against account monthly. Won't work for everyone but I stick them in a spresdsheet. One row per record. Nothing gets missed & 100% paid to date over a few years :-)

  • +1

Thanks OP, $30 coming your way!

    • I hope ❤️ But unless you know my name and it matched the link, the $30 could go to any of the 442 Ozbargainers who put their links into the system. Thanks for supporting us. Enjoy your order :)

      • +1

Oh! I didn't understand how that works… Well Goodluck to someone!

        Thanks again!

  • A bit wishy washy. After purchase no acknowledgement nothing so you have no idea if it went through.

    • +1

If you go back to Topcashback it does say that the click has been recorded with a huge banner

      • Yes when you click on link and buy something BUT when closed, where is:
        - the reference to the click history & sale within one's account?

        • +1
          • +1

@I Smell Pennies: It's there now so must take extra time to show relative to when the big banner showed? Thanks for that and including the link.
Won't be long before you offer to do our shopping for us (NF/Spotify related joke) :-)

            • @Borg:

Won't be long before you offer to do our shopping for us (NF/Spotify related joke) :-)

HAHAHA. Once day AI will do it for both of us

          • @I Smell Pennies: Honestly though, that little menu on the side of the webpage is pretty bad UI if you ask me. The "earnings" / "clicks to merchants" options should be part of the main body of the site, with the options sitting directly under the "Earnings" nav bar.

  • Just signed up to TopCashback & placed an order at 11:55pm. Hopefully no issues with getting cashback.

  • My cousin ordered 11.47pm last night and it doesn't track the order yet

  • Mine hasn't tracked yet! Should I be worried? Anyone else experiencing the same?

  • I'm still waiting for tracking too. My account does show that I clicked through to the Chemist Warehouse website. I have messaged the rep and waiting for a reply. Might have to cancel the order if I can't get this sorted out.

  • Waiting for tracking too. Hope rep can get this fixed.

  • i did 3 purchases only 1 was tracked and i clicked the link each time

    • This deal was only valid for 1 transaction as per the title and T&Cs. So it makes sense only tracked once

      • Uh shit you're right, i thought it just capped at $15 per member

  • No tracking for me too :/

  • +1

I've just received the tracking email so hopefully others who did not receive one earlier will get it soon.
