make sure you check the price without go through CR and SB , sometimes prices are jacked

    • Not sure if it applies on Expedia but a lot of these types of sites jack up listings that have been searched for recently, particulary on the same computer too. Think for some of them searching via incognito works to bypass this.

This might not apply to Expedia though.

      • I've seen it even with incognito. I dont know how. Drove me nuts a few weeks ago trying to get a decent deal.

        • Probably just jacks up for everyone! Maybe waiting a day is all you can do.

          • @snoopydoop: True, i did end up waiting and a few days later the prices dropped again (and coincided with a cheddar deal).

      • I search on my phone using incognito and mobile data then compare it to my pc.

    • this.
i find the best prices come through both checking google and tripadvisor comps.

    • The jack prices hard. Was able to get a better deal with just 5 % off cashback through non jacked prices.

  • It's rigged as they jack up the price.

    This is a scam

So was looking at the cash rewards one and the prices are the same with cash back on other booking sites. Checked Expedia with booking.com for example

And like others have said by clicking through the link the prices will be higher than when you don't click through

All in all, this is bullshit

No offence to op but not a deal when they really jack the prices. Just checked and definitely been super jacked.

Hotel i am looking at in Vietnam is same price as it was all week.

  • Not sure about others but I am able to book accomodation for same price (checked before going through shopback).

However login to expedia matters as after login price of hotel reduced by 10%

  • I always go direct with hotels more than not as most have price beat guarantees against any travel agent . But if a cashback/ShopBack post bests it then good luck!!! It’s hit and miss though most of the hotels aren’t prepared to fund your cashback

  • not a good deal with a $100 cap

  • Anyone know when this deal will end?

    • 11:59pm AEDT this eve, so available all day today.

  • @gotyourback Hi rep, can you confirm that the Westpac cap is per transaction not per user? i.e. that i can put multiple transactions and get $100 each time? Thanks!

    • +1

Yep, per transaction mate. Our caps will usually be per transaction unless we explicitly state otherwise.

I just came back from holidays. I watched hotel prices for 2-3 weeks prior and did not find prices being jacked. In fact it went down slightly during that time and I booked it with 15% cashback. So still worth having a look if you have something planned.

  • @gotyourback will this stack with the master10 coupon code for mastercard payments?

    • Hey mate, that code isn't listed as a stackable code, I'm afraid.

      • Where do I see the listed codes?

        • On our website or the Cashback Details on the Expedia page on our app, there is an option to view any Discounts or Coupons that Expedia have set up to stack with Cashback. It doesn't look like Expedia have any stackable coupons running at the moment I'm afraid mate, but for future ref that's where you'll find them.

  • Thanks OP!

  • When should the Westpac entry come up in your transaction history? I've got the Expedia entries, but no Westpac bonus yet.

    • Hey @gotyourback - I've DM'ed you with this issue, still nothing popping up with the Westpac bonus entry. Can you help investigate please?

      • Yep, no worries, just getting to your message now.

  • About $250 worth of cashback tracked
