did you just answer your own question? … lol…..

          welcome to jv's world

    • +2

why do you always have to ask for the previous price when you can just find out yourself?

      • Why do you care?

  • +14

I can vouch for these headphones. You will struggle to find anything near the quality of these for the price.

    • +13

I disagree. The KSC75 for example which is around $20 shipped on eBay is superior in every respect besides noise isolation.

      • -3

and shitty looks…this or the Koss PortaPros are the only ones that I would buy since I don't like my headphones to be split into two.

Also link to the KSC75 on ebay, I wanna try out some mods on it.

        • Absolutely, I would never use them in public. Hellishly comfortable though. I easily prefer them to AD700/HD600/DT880 for comfort, and the HD201's cheap, ear warming pleather doesn't even get close.

They're around that much from a bunch of American sellers, here's one:

          http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/KOSS-KSC75-CLIPON-HEADPHONES-ALL-…

      • And the Koss PortaPro's from MyMemory

I have used both and the PortaPro's are superior in sound quality

these are listed as $21 on other sites

    • +3

      Including shipping? What sites?

  • Picked these up for $25 last week at JB during their Family & Friends Sale. Well worth the price IMO.

  • Very good headphones for this price point.

  • +2

Even I find my HD515 doesn't sound good enough. With Sennheiser, you are better off getting their premium line. Try Koss ones. They are better value IMO.

    • with an amp or without?

      • without

  • jbhifi $37
    officeworks $36.95

good entry level cans for the price

  • I've had a pair of these for years, very nice headphones for the price.

  • +3

The bass leaves a little to be desired, its more flatter response, if you drive it with equalisation you can get some alright bass out of them. They perform pretty good, compared to some AKG K240S's I got recently they are like night and day.

I got mine HD201's from DSE at $50. So $23.49 is a decent price. Quality is decent, but if you love your bass you'll be dissapointed.

  • Are they light? Do the cups totally cover ears? Are they really tight?

    Thanks

    • They're light compared to quite a few other headphones at 165g

They cover mine fine, and they'll probably cover most ears smaller than the size of a fist.

      Not really tight.

      • +1

I got a good chuckle out of that comment. measuring the size of something as variable as an ear to a fist, which is exactly as variable, if not more so! made my day :D

    • Yes, yes, and no.

  • I gave two pairs from of these from very different batches a going over with a sound level meter and they were quite closely matched. A 3rd pair sounded the same too. They aren't the greatest but in this price range it would be hard to do better. Most people don't listen critically enough for it to matter though.

  • This is an awesome price, on ebay the highest price is an outragous $78 and lowest is $37. I'm definately buying this!! Thanks for sharing <3

  • I paid about $40 for mine quite a while ago and use them for P.C motor racing games. They sound good and haven't rotted out from being used in an unairconditioned room in the tropics, like others i have used.
I would definitely buy another set, especially at that price if i needed a new set.

  • I had a pair and the left ear of them stopped making noise after 11 days.

Maybe I was an exception, but yes, was not pleased.

  • Great deal, I bought these last time they had a special. Excellent basic headphones.

  • how long is the cable on this?

    • 3 metres.

  • I bought two pairs a while ago when they were cheap at officeworks. For the price - I think they're worth it. I think if you pay up to $30 they're great. Once you get past that though, there's probably better headphones around.

They're really comfortable, tend to keep noise out. Sound quality isn't as good as some others I've owned in the past, but like everyone else has mentioned, for the price they're good.

  • out of stock :(

    • +1

      Back in stock..

  • +1

Yep, back in stock and ordered mine.

    • Says out of stock again.

  • I'm wondering why no one has mentioned price matching this deal at office works yet… You save a dollar ($22.32) and you can pick it up today. (As soon as it's in stock again, of course. :D )

    • +1

Does officeworks price match online store sales? I thought they only price match for australian store prices :/
Edit- Sorry as you said if it is in stock and with delivery cost included they will beat it by 5%. Thanks I went on their website and that is great, most places dont compare price to online stores!!

  • +1

Bought a pair of these at officeworks a few weeks ago after price matching from another bargain.

I must say, I'm very very impressed at the sound quality at this price point. Comfort is good. I find it a bit warm but since they're circumaural, of course they will be. Still, I have no problem wearing them for hours at a stretch. Bass is not overpowering and the overall clarity is quite decent. Very happy with my purchase at the sub $24 price.

My only real gripe with it is that I haven't figured out a neat and aesthetically pleasing way to manage the 3 meters of cable. :) (Mostly because I've been a lazy bum)

  • Since its out of stock, what about this sony? Is it good as the Sennheiser? I would really like those with cable at one side of the headphones, less tangles to deal with, reason I didnt order the HD201 yesterday when it was still in stock.

    http://www.ozgameshop.com/headphones/sony-hifi-headphones-si…

    • Look good (not sure how they sound). These have cable on both sides too btw.

      Is this on special?

      • Not too sure, I just post it cause perhaps other people might be interested.

  • Has anyone received their headphones yet? How was it delivered? Fedex?

  • Got mine a few days ago … left in the mailbox.

I have never bothered using decent headphones, even though we have a great couple of pairs incl Bose QC15 - I just wear the crappy iPhone ones (or cheap substitutes) - I leave the good ones with the kids.

Got these $23.49 phones on now and for the price I think they are FANTASTIC!!! I realise how much I've been missing out.

  • Got mine last night.. Wowee.. I'm very impressed for $23…
