I have two of these, replaced some old smashed Arlec sensor lights with these using existing wiring that came with the house.

Motion detection is decent but not the greatest, Stand alone units so no homebase or anything needed, just the app, no extra fees for cloud recording unless you want increased storage.
Flood light portion motion sensor cant be controlled by the app, it uses old school motion sensors, but it is on a decent gimble so you can point the camera / sensor appropriately.

I wouldn't recommend it if you are after a full on security system, as the on board memory only holds a few days of videos, but it has a nice LED floodlight with decent camera so i think they are good value.

It does have human detection if you only want to capture that, but i found it missed a lot of recordings (delivery guys with hats/boxes in front of them were never detected or recorded) motion only detection works alright.

I believe currently it CANNOT be linked to the homebase 3.

  • Does it have the option for 24-7 recording like the standard eufy outdoor cam?

    • No as no homebase support, no RTSP either.

It just records 1 minute clips on the internal memory whenever it detects the motion you have set up, which you can access from anywhere on the app.

      • Outdoor cam doesn’t have hb support either, records to sd card and can do 24-7 recording. Unfortunately only in 1080 though.

  • do these have ONVIF?

They are adding it to homebase 3 soon. They say March 2023.

Can it be mounted on the ceiling as mine is on the eave .

    • Yes, it can. I got the price matching with JB. Here is the review on Youtube.

      • JB prime match Amazon?

        • +1

          Yes.

  • Wish they had black, would upgrade my 1080p versions.

Great for the price, my only issue is a lot of false positives for the floodlights, goes off constantly.

    • I had the same issue as mine was pointing towards the road, tilted it down a bit and its solved most of that problem, I don't think its worth upgrading from the 1080p version, they seem pretty much the same.

  • I have the 1080p version and floodlight can be fully controlled by the app and can be scheduled.

    • Your can control the light with the app but not the motion sensor, the motion sensor is for the camera only.

You can also turn the lights on and off with Google home but it's pretty useless.

Yeah I have played around with the sensitivity and range but I couldn't work out how to stop the light going off constantly at night. I assume its a bug flying past or the wind , who knows.

  • I have 4 of these it's mainly for older double storey houses where its significantly more expensive to put network cables for POE security cameras. Not the best but it does the job very well

  • Also found the motion detect floodlight is too sensitive when it's windy or raining, triggers constantly. But not sensitive enough for regular motions, it sometimes takes a while to trigger when I move into view.
    Otherwise it's prettty good.

  • While ours has been great, please note that they do NOT take memory cards for some reason and the built in memory is tiny. I didn't realize until after I had bought it and I was very disappointed.

Edit: I have the 1080p model which has a whopping 4gb memory. The version in this post has 8gb, but still no memory card as far as I know.

  • How is this powered?
    Standard plug?
    Battery?

    • Mains powered, OP stated as much in the deal post

Looks like you can get it for $174 from edozer (https://www.edozer.com.au/products/eufy-securityfloodlight-c…). As ive never heard of them, personally id be tempted to see if office works would price beat them…
