    OzBargain Finest Speciality Biscotti ?

Possibly Olina’s Bakehouse, but yours is ozbviously preferable. Just like OzBargain, these delicious treats go stale unless consumed in timely fashion

Bargain . But honestly it was never worth $9.

    • Since when is anything selling at Woolies worth the price?

      • -1

It's not, that's why you should try stealing everything.

        • I like an adrenaline rush as much as the next person

@tharlow: Be careful, I hear Woolworth's next AI venture is to replace security guards with a loss prevention AI in a mimetic polyalloy body.

@tharlow: You'll love firework bangs on your TV then!

  • Honestly, at that price, there's no need to resort to my usual shop-n-snack tactics. You know how I'd typically grab a pack of these, some grapes, and a Big M for a little in-store nibble. Occasionally, I even throw in a few antipasto items and cheeses from the deli counter for a full-blown lunch experience.

Though recently, it seems Ihaven't gone unnoticed, as the staff are starting to catch on to my sneaky supermarket strolls. So, I've had to up my game and switch between different Metros to maintain my inconspicuousness. But hey, with this $1 steal, I might just waltz through the checkout line like a law-abiding citizen for once! 😁

That's not cool. Hope you are joking

Do you actually purchase the items?

Who knows because Heaps for Cheaps thinks it's all a joke. Don't care if it's a big corporate, stealing is not cool

VPN, despite popular belief, stands for Virtual Private Nicking

      • You can't scan items after you have eaten the contents because the package is then to light for the self service checkouts so it thinks you are trying to steal something even when you are trying to do the right thing and pay.

  • Have noticed same brand Short Bread also for $1 at my local. All gone now but maybe still he at some other stores

It’s Saturday. Going grocery shopping is like preparing for war

I bought a few at $5 a pack a few weeks ago. There were quite a few remaining then. I had to go through a lot of boxes to find ones without broken biscuits.

  • Also noticed same brand but different product at $1 at my local Woolies. Seems a whole lot of their products are being cleared, not just one line. Are they winding up the business or something? I hope not - I quite like their products!

  • In related news for people living local to Buranda Village:

Buranda Village shopping centre is due to be demolished and redeveloped.
    https://yourneighbourhood.com.au/buranda-village-redevelopme…

Approval has been given for the redevelopment, and it's expected to start in 2024. The new development is planned to have a 3400m^2 Woolies, and I see from the plan in the link that the building closest to Ipswich Rd looks like it has been deliberately shaped to fit within the existing carpark area. So hopefully they will build that building first, and transfer the existing tenants across, before they demolish the existing building.
