    Thx op. Finally

  • For different colours try goodguys with Cashback, ends up about 15 bucks more.

    • just wondering cashback works on apple ?

    • Can you post a link to the Series 7 with Cellular or even Series 7 at all? I can’t find any.

  • this or se 2022 for $450 from apple with discounted gift card?

    • +5

      This

    • If you don’t need/use cellular on the watch I think it’s worth thinking about series 8

      Price match 45mm Amazon @ $629 and than use 15% discounted cards = $535 total for series 8 45mm

      • +1

personally I'm looking at SE 2022 with cellular 44mm $450 from apple

        • +2

We’ll get it then lol. It works out to $382 with the 15% discount cards.

In that case, depends on if you think cellular + O2 sensor + always on display + ECG + fast charging worth it.

To me absolutely worth the extra $100

        • That’s the direction I went, only thing I wish I had is the always on display

      • Thankyou for telling me about the 15% discounted cards ! I picked up a series 8 45mm

        • Did you price match Amazon first for another $50 off?

      • Where do you get 15% off gift cards from?

    • +1

The always on display itself to me is worth the extra $50. Apart from all the other advantages from the 7

  • My man got the RED version of this for $528 delivered. He is very happy with it. He upgraded from an S3.

good deal but my old iphone 6s plus won't work with it with this watch on os9

  • +6

The bezel is a very dark shade of green and could almost pass for grey/ black. Goes really well with black mesh bands. So for anybody undecided because of the green colour, just buy this and swap the bands to a darker shade and you’ll have an Apple Watch 7 GPS + Cellular under $500, can’t go wrong.

    • Hi @rishmeister is the band size the same as watch 8? do you think it will go well with lighter colour bands as well?

      • Same as 8

Be mindful these watches don't come with charger.

    • How do you charge them?

      • +3

I think what BruceJack means is that there's no power adaptor but of course it includes the charging puck.

        • -2

I'm not entirely sure. Says on JB:

          Please note

          You'll need a separate charger
The Apple Watch Series 7 does not ship with a charger in the box.

No clue if that means the adaptor or both.

        • +2

no charger like nowadays samsung and iphone. it does come with those charging cable.

  • Is 45mm too big for a small wrist?

    • +3

      I would say yes.

    • I have a slim wrist and wear 44-45mm mechanical watches. It is how you you adjust the strap that makes all the difference and also how you adjust to the weight, in this case these are light so that is not an issue. Cut a disc /rectangle on paper and place on your wrist and see how it looks, worst case go to a store and try it on. At the end is all about feeing comfortable with the size, straps can always be adjusted to fit like Nato straps etc.

    • +1

i have a microscopic wrist but the 45mm is perfect…id be pretty disappointed with a 41mm tbh.

      • Thanks got the 45mm. Would prefer bigger screen regardless and better battery life.

I just got a series 8 for effectively $535. GPS only tho.

Get apple to price match Amazon, and then use the 15% discounted cards.

But if you need cellular, obviously this is better.

    • Does Apple price match Amazon?

Can I leave my phone at home, and just carry the watch? Do I get another e-sim card with data?

    • I am pretty sure the additional sim works without the phone, except you would like a space cadet making calls when on the move! 😊

    • +1

1 yes, that’s the whole point of the cellular model

2 no sim, Apple Watch doesn’t have a sim slot. You have to workout with your carrier so they split your plan to also use the watch. Your current plan may not be eligible, gotta check.

    • +2

Most commonly you set it up as number sharing (with the same number as your mobile phone) - usually $5 a month extra cost. If you leave your phone at home the watch operates as standalone using the cellular, but if you are close to your watch it connects via bluetooth and uses the cellular of the phone to conserve battery life.

Alternatively, you can set it up with its own phone number (about $10 a month) - this is called family sharing, although there is only one provider in Australia who offers this currently. https://www.apple.com/au/newsroom/2020/12/family-setup-on-ap…

    • you can, but u need ur phone to be ON to get app notifications I guess.

  • Thanks OP.

    Was cheaper last yr

    • Out of curiosity, do you have a link?

      • Click on product tag on deal
My bad non cellular but 50 dollars cheaper

  • Green color 45mm GPS only $548, GPS+cellular $498….????

    • They had a similar deal with the RED watch previously. The GPS + Cellular was cheaper than GPS only.

  • +4

To make use of Apple Watch Cellular means you must be on a postpaid/contract phone plan which starts at about $45 per month for Vodafone (add $ for Optus or Telstra) - or alternatively you have to go the $10 per month truphone family sharing route (and not have your watch associated with your iphone).

However, family sharing is crippled in Australia - see "Apple Pay using a credit or debit card in the Wallet app is not available with Family Setup."

You also cannot just add a generic esim to apple watch.

It is a joke. Unless you are on postpaid, you are potentially better off with a non-cellular apple watch here in Aus.

    • Yep. Been tied to an old optus plan just for this. You can still get $35 +5 plan by going through optus flybuys, but contracted.

    • Indeed, I have a Samsung cellular watch 5 and rather pathetic that you can only have esim on pricier post plan.

At the end I gave up the post+esim plan and moved to boost prepaid plan without esim capability, as the cost of living is increasing day by day here…

I found that there is a data only esim out there, but that's defeat the purpose of having a cellular watch

  • Thanks, finally pulled the trigger

  • Is it refurbished or over stock products?

    • brand new just to clear old stock

    • It's JB HI FI …. they don't sell refurbished AFAIK

      • They sell refurbished apple computers and samsung TVs

  • Pulled the trigger

  • +1

What is the battery life like on apple watches? My fitbit lasts me between 5-7 days depending on usage and I can't imagine myself having to charge my watch every day

    • 18hrs

  • can i match price of Officeworks iPhone 14 $1297 and than use %15 discount codes to get it down to $1102? i would need to purchase 3 gift cards 500+500+102 right?

  • Got a call from Jbhifi saying the stock I ordered is customer returned item. When asked if they can reduce price further they told the least they can do it $479….Will full apple warranty.

    Now I'm confused 😕

    • @hopper did you buy it or cancel the order?

      • +1

still confused, not sure if its worth buying a refurb one for $20 less

  • Got an email from them saying order cancelled due to some verification thing, could just be me but I’m trying to get it resolved

  • I got the Your order is on its way email so keep trying. I just checked the website and it looks like there is stock in other states (last night was VIC and TAS. And that was the closest near me and I live in NSW).

    • My order to Sydney has been shipped from Tottenham, VIC.

    Amazon now is $498

Apple Watch Series 7 (GPS + Cellular, 45mm) - Green Aluminium Case with Clover Sport Band - Regular https://amzn.asia/d/69EKdRG

  • I’ll have to change carrier to Telstra Optus or voda for this. Voda apparently cheapest, but is there anything else to be mindful of?

    • To set this up you need an iPhone with a current iOS level. If you don’t travel without the phone you can just run it from the phone and skip the cost of the extra SIM.

    • make sure the plan ur signing up actually supports watch. i remember some postpaid plans dont previously.

  • still available, looks like not many are after green?

  • Anyone bought from JB had theirs shipped? Mine still says processing order even though delivery ETA was yesterday.

    • Received my order on Thursday, ordered the night this was posted.
