It is an LG panel and they are very accurate compared to reference monitors when calibrated, just a question of what release year this was originally, seems to be either 2021 or 2022 model.

If it were $2200 or less, this would be a solid deal, but not this price. Hopefully Philips OLED TV stock becomes the norm in AU because they produce a very compelling product.

EDIT: was confusing it with Panasonic OLED TV models, disregard the colour reproduction statements. Seems to be a 2022 model.

Sorry OP, but this is a terrible deal.

No one in their right mind would be considering this TP Vision (HK based owner of Philips TV unit) manufactured product over better priced LG, Sony and Samsung equivalents.

Costco was selling the Sony last week for $1650?

    • A Sony 65" OLED for $1650? Link??

This is the lowest I've seen to date ($1750 but had very limited stock for likely pricing error, usually well over $2K).

Agree though that this post is not a deal when you can get much better Sony OLEDs for much less.

      • Yeah $1750, that’s right

  • aMBILIGHT IS AMAZING!

Definitely not at this price, but I would pay a little more for ambilight, it's really fantastic stuff.

Still cheaper to buy an LG cs or c2 on special and add smart led strips (lifx or Hue) for ambience. For adaptive ambilight phillips sell products, other brands do similar things.

  • Philips is not specialised in TVs. Why would anyone pay this price for 65inch over other big brands for cheaper price? I don’t understand.

  • Why would you buy this and not an LG C2?

  • Does Phillips make anything anymore?
What is this tech and where is it coming from, Samsung?

    • Philips TV business was sold to HK based TP Vision years ago.

      • Yeah I'm sure Phillips is just a brand new and rebrands products from other manufacturers, which is sad really as only 20 years ago they pioneered a number of industries.

They had the previous model of this at good guys for $1899, not going to downvote but this doesn't seem like a great deal.
