  • Thanks for posting. I myself never read the bulk supermarket deals. I think the supermarket deals should be in the forums as it is like a spam.

    • Then the bulk supermarket deals shouldn't be allowed. There's no point posting the same information twice.

Hey jv, what happened to your neg vote?

  • It was $1.70 a couple weeks back at coles, even better this week!

  • -7

This deal should say "save 50c" because $2 has been the normal price for well over a year now…

    • No it hasn't. They are 3 bucks normally, or even more if you go to exxy supermarkets. Only ever $2 (or less) on spesh or multi buys.

      • -1

        They are 3 bucks normally

I've seen them every week for $2 at either Coles or Woollies, so if on the odd chance they are sold for $3, that would be above their 'normal' price…

  • have been enjoying arnotts lately. these going half price is great especially for those late night cravings that I get.

Its un-Australian to neg this deal.

    • +5

Un-Australian? Err… No - not for the last 15 years.

You do realize that Arnott's is no longer an Australian company? It is now a subsidiary of the Campbell Soup Company (United States).

what brand biscuits are sold at major supermarkets that are still aussie?

After feed your PC with storage, we all need to feed ourselves.

  • There was a time, I'd buy 48 packets + when they were $2 … now what am I suppose to do at this price !!

    • +8

      buy 64 packets?

      • buy as much as you can fit in a trolley

      • At times they've not had enough stock ;) But it's a good suggestion :)

tim tam's price is getting lower each yr, milk's remain stagnant, the condom deals here in ozbargain comes in hundreds of packs, and the coffee price jumped from $2 to $4 just in 5yrs time…we need to get some coffee deals on ozbargain.

  • -3

i was at coles today and they were $2.90 a packet.

    • +4

      And your point is?

      • -1

point 1.- when they are not on special they can be uber expensive, i.e. almost double the price of the special.
point 2. - check out catalogs and/or ozbargain so that informed decision can be made on best price.

        • Isn't this a known fact?

    • +3

      Reread deal; 2nd sentence

  • -4

I paid $2.99 at my Coles tonight

    FYI..

At the Huntingwood bakery in Western Sydney, the production line turns out about 3,000 Tim Tams per minute[8] and uses 20 tons of the cookie's cream filling and 27 tons of chocolate coating each work day.

    • +1

Are you sure? 27 tons? or 27,000kg chocolate coating each work day?

      • +2

        3000 timtams/hour x 200 grams/pack ÷ 11 timtams/pack x 60 mins/hour x 24 hours/day ÷ 1000000 grams/ton = 78.55 tons of tim tams in a 24 hour day.
Tim Tams are 38% milk chocolate, so 29.85 tons of chocolate used in 24 hours (excluding wastage).

P.S. At this price you could purchase an entire day's production for $585,164.

    • FYI..

At Huntingwood, the smell of biscuits from the Arnotts factory + The tip nearby makes for unpleasant conditions.

  • I was at Oatley coles today. Price still hasn't changed.
