The A80k is also down to $2395 currently.

Tossing up between 65" A80k or the CS+soundbar. Not sure if I need the soundbar, but it would make the overall price cheaper.

Or so I keep holding out for the C2 to get to around the $2.3k mark….

    • yeah difficult decisions tbh. When do you think the next sale is on?

    • +1

Thank you for the heads up on the a80k! Has been waiting for the 65" Sony Oled to get down in price again!

      • I’m hoping the C2 will be at $2.3 by mid year at some point

        • +1

Looks like the 65" sony is in short stock, and they don't deliver.

          • @tor:

JB have the same price and they deliver

I think getting a TV like that and using a budget soundbar is kinda like buying a Ferrari and putting cheap tyres on it. What's the point? Sure it'll do, but it won't be getting the most out of it.

Could just sell the soundbar and use that towards a better soundbar or a 2.1 or 3.1 system.

    • +4

I went with the a80k for the software and upscaling, and am pleasantly surprised by the quality of the audio. I will eventually get a soundbar but I don't feel I need it

      • Sound is super. I wont get a sound bar.

    • +1

      For the LG 65” OLED C2 ..

If you feel owning this 2 months (earlier) is worth $100 than waiting for a mid year sale .. I just bought this from HN for $2400 (not including shipping).

I was able to negotiate it to $2400 without having to buy the soundbar.

  • so many bad review for SN4 :( need that 20%

  • +1

Would TGG and BL price match you reckon?

  • EOFY so close… must resist…

    • -1

hey how must do you think it will go down?

      • NFI, I just hope better than this. :P

The LG C3 is rolling out over the next few weeks hence pairings of low demand stock such as these soundbars to clear the warehouse.

The Samsung Neo QLED B series is starting to wind down/out of stock as the C series has arrived or is available for preorders.

With lucky there may be a few more deals this April but after that it will be harder to source one at a good price.

    • +2

Sales are now as this year models come eofy, won’t be on sale then.

      • +2

This time of year is the best time to buy TV's. Last years run out stock before new stock arrives.

  • +1

Doesn't appear to be much stock in metro Melbourne for either pickup or delivery, at least for the 77

  • Melbourne Metro Area, and I am seeing this:

Unavailable within 200km of your entered location.

Too late to the LG OLED party!

  • Great price for the 77" OLED wow

  • +2

same deal @ Harvey Norman if you can't find stock at JB

  • Can you return the soundbar for a refund do you think ?
Seems like it would be the easier choice rather than trying to hock it off ..
edit: I already have a mediocre soundbar in a Yamaha yas-108

  • +2

    Woah. 86” tv for 2k.

I’ve been out of the tv buying scene for 5 years now! I fear a new tv is due soon…

  • Can't buy the CS 77 no stock around 200km for me. Why is the 77 C2 not on sale!!

    • +1

Because it is a much better tv

    • Low on stock I’d say .
Can’t you get the cs delivered ?

      • Can't in WA for the CS. Any luck your neck of the woods?

        • Nope , looks like all stock gone out of all major retailers for the 77 cs near me .
If you get lucky you might score the last of the 77 c2/g2 stock as they run it out , and as the new models come in , in the next couple of weeks .
But the retailers aren’t silly seeing as they are still selling some of largest sized c1 panels from last year.

  • I picked up the last 77" CS from my local JB during the last sale for $3895. Any chance they would refund the difference now? Don't know much about their policy

    • Within two weeks as long as you bought the exact same deal as this they should refund the dif .

      • -1

Not same deal because of soundbar

  • No delivery!

How to pick up a 77" tv? Will a mid size suv suffice?

    • Buy it C&C and by the time pickup ask if they can deliver.

      • if they cannot and i also realise i cannot handle it with my mid-size suv, i assume i can simply return the tv, right?

        • +3

Lol mid size suv witn a 77 inch tv..

          No chance.

These things need to be kept upright in transit. You will need a truck, ute or trailer.

          • @chadleyshe:

These things need to be kept upright in transit.

Is that so all the water inside them doesn't spill out?

            • +1

@1st-Amendment: Because the components can put pressure on the fragile screen causing it to bend or break.

          • @chadleyshe: sounds like i need to rent a van or something :(

            • @aec: Order an uber, the one for many people.

              • @watwatwat: 77" I think needs Van.

              • @watwatwat: i talked to the guy from the jb store where i was supposed to pick up the tv. he told me i can organise the delivery for $69 which would be great! i thought about renting a van.

                • @aec: You may have to ask him again for the extra 5% off

    • If certain stores have stock they can still deliver it out of their store.. if delivery is unavailable online they most likely have display models left at the stores…

    • 65" was snug in a CX8

      • Standing up?

        • No, flat. Standing up I had no chance. I drove real slow. Not ideal but I didn't have far to drive. Definitely worth the $50 delivery or whatever it was.

    • -1

Funny can you go in store and then tell them to deliver?

  • Must… resist… so… hard

  • +1

I don't need it, but if I had the spare cash (and space), no question, this is the best value 77" OLED I've ever seen. I have a 55" of this model, it's a fantastic product.

  • -1

Pretty awesome pricing in my opinion when you add the soundbar (even if you dont need one) and save on the whole cart - for example on the 42 inch C2:

    LG SN4 300W 2.1 Channel DTS Virtual: X Soundbar
LG 42" C2 Self Lit OLED EVO 4K UHD Smart TV [2022]

    Discount -$334.80
    Subtotal $1,339.20
    Shipping (Standard) $25.99
    Tax (GST 10.0%) $124.10
    Total AUD $1,365.19

    • +3

We had 42" C2 under $1k two weeks ago.

      • Ahh I missed that one. Still in my case simply selling the sound bars so will probably work out close to that for me

        • You'll get $50-100 for soundbar?

          • @serpserpserp: We'll see - not overly worried as I was happy with the price before I knew I'd missed the $995 deal.

  • Can't find a review for the CS on rtings. What's the closest comparison for this model?

  • Can anyone confirm we can use ultimate home gift card to pay for this to save another 10%? Thank you

  • Are any of the soundbars halfway decent? I'd be moving from a good, but 10+ year old surround sound to a sound bar. Are there any that I can add on extra speakers to to create a surround experience?

  • I was gonna wait for the new models, but If I want to get it now, should I go for 65 LG C2 or Samsung 95b? The price is really tempting.

    • Go for the 77 cs.

      • 77 is too big for my space so I'd prefer 65

        • +2

          No TV is too big.

        • 77 is never too big.. thats what my wife said.

buy yeah, go for the lg, sammy has lots of issues.

  • This is ridiculous … i considered buying this at 5k and now its 3.33k with a sound bar…… too bad i bought a large TV a year ago…. delayed buyers remorse

    • Happens all the time don't worry. Did you enjoy it though ?

  • +1

I was lucky enough to get the 77" CS for $3180 last week at The Good Guys when I asked for a deal. The next cheapest was $3795 online and they smashed that price for me. It's a big tv, but it hasn't changed my life like all the OLED fanboys reckoned it would.

    • You must be over privileged already then…

    • What TV did you come from?

      • I came from a 10 year old FHD LG 60 inch tv with picture in picture.
I haven't bought a 4k player yet so I'm looking forward to testing the OLED out on 4K DVDs.
It hasn't been life-changing for watching online content or gaming.
I'm old-school and watch a lot of live tv and sports and it's no better than my old tv for those applications.

        • If you don't watch 4k content it won't be that much better

        • out on 4K DVDs.

          What is 4k DVD?

life-changing for watching online content or gaming.

What kind of online content you watched? Try search 4k demo with YouTube

old-school and watch a lot of live tv and sports

          Because they are not 4k

          • @superforever: DVDs in the 4k format. Some people call them 4k Blu Rays. It's all a disc (DVD) to me.
I guess I was a bit disappointed that picture quality for live sports has not improved over the last 10 years. Yes, I know the broadcast is in HD, but I thought the upgrades in panels and processors might improve things a little over the 10 year old FHD tv.
The 4k demos are nice. I'm sure I will enjoy the 4k discs I have once I buy a Panasonic DP-UB820 4k player.

            • @trainingwheelz:

Yes, I know the broadcast is in HD, but I thought the upgrades in panels and processors might improve things a little

Yeah bigger TV with FHD content won't improve much even with upscale. Try 4k streaming sport instead of live TV sport.

I also find that not all 4k streaming are the same, some are not real 4k HDR.

  • Do any retailers have stock in Melbourne? I can't find it in JBHifi or Good Guys website

  • +1

    "EASTER5" extra 5% off.

    • haha some people are going to be pissed.

      • I bought a 83" LG C2 this morning…. yeah I'm a little pissed lol.

        • Online chat ask for refund 5%

Wow 83" C2 must be expensive and 5% a lot of money

      • Went in store today and they refunded me the $165 difference

  • I have 4 x $500 JB HI FI eGift vouchers available at 10% discount

  • Great deal. If only my 11 year old plasma gave up I'd have jumped on this deal.

    • You can make it gave up

      • It died few years ago but Samsung were kind enough to replace the motherboard even though it was out of warranty at the time.

  • +1

Went in store today and they refunded me the $165 difference from this deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/767323.
