8TB Samsung 870 QVO 2.5" SSD $709 ($699 with Targeted Coupon) + Delivery @ Futu Online eBay

230
SNSOAPRSNSMD4...

I was browsing SSDs because I'm easily amused and saw a good price on this SSD on Amazon UK ($765) and then checking here and eBay found an even better deal. Oddly I got there from one of ChatGPT's many deals (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/763472 - Thanks!) but it was labelled as Shopping Express rather than Futu online. Same company?

I see a "Pay only $699 Show me how" link and also free express ebayplus delivery, you may not.

I don't need one myself but at this price I'm tempted.

Also $709 with PLUSITUP Thanks Firerunner

and…
Under $690 at PB Tech (Thanks O O)

Slightly cheaper at PB Tech, $687.27 delivered.

    • Good one - SSD prices are finally falling!

  • Wait for $399

Yeah, time to HODL till 2027 and it's $399

  • Thanks OP!! Ordered 3 fo my Linux ditros!

  • It's been cheaper recently at $652.80 (Afterpay requirement, but possible to pay for most of it with eBay gift cards), and this $699 price with bonus $150 Steam credit from 2021 will be difficult to beat.

  • Hey dudes is qvo worth getting?
I read this and it puts me off:
What is the difference between the QVO and EVO?
Samsung QVO SSDs use 4-bit QLC technology while EVO SSDs use 3-bit TLC technology. Due to this difference, QVO SSDs are cheaper and slower than EVO SSDs. In addition, the lifespan of QVO SSDs is also shorter than EVO SSDs

    • You won't find a TLC drive in this size so it doesn't matter.

      • +1

The Samsung PM893 uses TLC flash, is available in 7.68TB (which is almost the same as 8TB) and is in 2.5 inch sata form factor. However, I wouldn't recommend buying any SATA 8TB SSD as with such a large capacity SSD the SATA interface becomes a big bottleneck.

Get 2 of these drives and run them with a PCIe M.2 adapter card

Qvo series so cringe, where's the 8tb 990 pro hs skews? Anything below is already obsolete.

    • I guess if you consider yourself the main character it is

You should take your shilling to gumtree.

        • Username 100% checks out

          • @Heaps for Cheaps: If you game or do ANY science, 4tb is the minimum, 8tb is slight futureproof, nobody wants to run ssds in raid. I will remove neg but i gave low capacity a go and it burnt me, so i feel critique of such is fair.

Can't remove negs take it up with admin and mods.
