$3 Bonus Promo Terms - read carefully as it will save a lot of questions:

1. To be eligible for the $3 bonus, you must first activate the promotion on this page, then purchase an Amazon gift card of $30 denomination (or higher) via the Gift Card Page on Cashrewards (link is on the activation page).
2. After activation, gift card purchase must be made by 4pm AEST 20/04/2023. Bonus will decline if purchase is made after 4pm AEST.
3. Activations are capped at 3000. Once activation limit is reached, you can still purchase until 4pm AEDT (provided you first activated the bonus).
4. Bonus is eligible on purchase of an Amazon gift card of $30 denomination (or higher) in a single transaction.
5. Bonus will be added automatically to your Cashrewards account as pending upon activation of this offer. Bonus will be approved within 7 days of the associated qualifying purchase being approved, as per the terms of the store.
6. Bonus is over and above the advertised cashback rate which still applies to the transaction.
7. Gift card purchases through the Gift Card Page are available only via desktop or mobile browsers. They are not available via the Cashrewards App.
8. Bonus is limited to one per Cashrewards account. Additional transactions do not qualify for additional bonuses.

  This blows! Tried 3 different cards and none of them work. I've used different browsers like safari and chrome so.I don't think it's my side. One card even got locked so that's going to be a pleasant phone call. It's been a while since I could join one of these promos and the experience leave much to be desired. Seems like CR are going down hill nowadays.

    Hi. Your cards being blocked or not working for purchase has nothing to do with Cashrewards. 3DS used by True Rewards' payment gateway is flagging them (your details) for some reason. Sorry I can't offer more information than this as I have limited knowledge of how 3DS works, but if you wish to discuss with them, their number and email address is in the OP. Thanks.

      Hi TA, I totally understand that you're helping us to the fullest and can't directly help us in these situations. Based on others comments here I'm not the only one with payments issues and many would not bother to be vocal about it. I think Cashrewards, as the direct customer of Truewards, could do more to hold them to account for providing a sub-par payments service. Hopefully you can pass on these feedbacks so something can be done internally. Cheers!

    I had the same issue. Payment would not go through. Contacted their support. Went off on a tangent. I missed about 15 cashback deals before it magically resolved itself.

    The declined or was it click list is funny in CR

  how is this deal different than the 10% off GC at aldi last year… this one is extra 1% off but you can only purchase $30 at a time, which isn't a really good deal?

    It really depends on what you value from this deal vs the ALDI deal.

    • The ALDI deal was restricted to physical ALDI stores, and ALDI is not a nationwide retailer. For example, if you were in Tasmania and wanted to participate in that ALDI deal, you would have needed to travel interstate. I think most people on OzBargain would not travel interstate for a gift card deal. However, this CR deal can be obtained from the comfort of home (or work) pretty much anywhere across Australia (including in Tasmania)!

    • The ALDI deal also required the purchase of a physical gift card, and there was always the chance that the ALDI you visited had no Amazon gift cards. With the CR deal, it is a digital gift card deal where the maximum number of gift cards available with bonus cashback is 3,000.

    • The ALDI deal allowed you to purchase multiple gift cards in one transaction, which meant that a handful of people could easily (and quickly) buy out the stock on the gift card shelf. However, this deal is restricted to 1x $30 gift card per CR account holder, so you would need to go through the hoops of having multiple CR accounts to try and get around this restriction.

    • ALDI surcharges Visa and Mastercard payments, so the actual discount would have been 9.55% off for some people through the ALDI deal. Having said that, ALDI accepts pretty much any prepaid gift card as a payment method (except Vanilla Visa gift cards, due to ALDI apparently not supporting signature verification). CR will not accept some prepaid gift cards (e.g. Perfect EFTPOS gift cards, OnlyONE Visa gift cards).

    • The ALDI deal has only happened once. Who knows whether there will be another deal like that in the future at ALDI or another retailer. (Probably, but time will tell.) These deals with CR happen much more frequently than once a year.

    • The fact that the 11% off through the CR deal is only applicable on the $30 denomination is fine for someone like me who has spent a grand total of $30 on Amazon this year. However, if you are spending $100s a month on Amazon (or even purchasing an iPad), $30 ain’t going to go far…

    The way I see it is that these CR gift card cashback deals are good for making a small top-up to your Amazon account’s gift card balance.
