  • Good stuff, though it feels almost naughty having that much memory on what's not even the top end SKU. Great for poorly coded AAA ports.

  • at the same price, 70ti trades ton of vram for some upscaling, RT and software features… which one would y'all pick?

    • +2

      Vram

    • neither

    • +1

idk the vram debacle is just annoying atm, while nvidia having low vram is a pain, that new star wars game uses 19-21gb of vram on 1440p at 40-50fps ON A 4090. Theres a point where the finger really has to be pointed at the publishers behind these games and the absolutely dreadful optimisation

YES, Finally a 3rd party 7900xt for $1200 going to finally pull the trigger. Thanks a lot as always the people that keep Ozbargin alive

  • Plenty of movement with prices tonight

RX 6900 XT also down to $945.22

3 x 8 pin connectors, would the third connector only be need if overclocking?

    • +1

ASUS adding a third connecter seems to be because they wanted to push their factory OC a little further, it's possible that you could only connect 2 but I'm not sure if that would cause problems, I guess you could undervolt.

    • Most likely. If you have a spare SATA power cable coming out of your PSU you can use something like this:

Show Team Green we don’t like their marketing strategy by buying Team Red. Now if only Team Blue’s product was decent enough to compete…

354mm that's a long boy, great price though

    • I am tempted to buy except it won't fit in my existing case, what a shame

  • Umart and MSY the same shop?

Last Radeon card I has was a AGP, man the 7900 XT is so much better than Nvidia, drivers are way better too. Able to run Freesync on my TV now.

Finally bit the bullet and purchased this to replace my aging 1080 card.

    • I'm on a 1080 as well.

      Shame I'm stuck with 2 G-Sync displays. :(

  • okay this is a buy at this price. 1000 for reference and 1200 for non-reference was what I was waiting for and it's here a couple of months sooner than I anticipated.
Non-reference could potentially go another $100 cheaper if you want to wait another few months, but as it stands this is a good purchase on its own and much better value long term than a 4070ti (unless they receive a discount also).

  • Doesn’t this particular asus card have bad regular coil whine even when using for non high fps situations (on top of usual coil whine), and continuous inconsistent performance? according to this review where example of coil whine is given starting 5:40, sounds like a struggling bagpiper :

Great price, however too big to fit into my nr200p case :(

Thanks OP. Picked up my card this morning, after a rather annoying experience of rushing to Umart after work yesterday to have them tell me that although they close at 5:30, they stop taking orders at 5 and they have to be done online..

Looks like the deal has ended now.

Kind of torn about this. It's an okay price but the lackluster performance of RDNA3 makes me feel like I should wait another generation. Power consumption is a big deal for me and is why I get red over green mostly but I'm iffy on whether the power consumption will be that great for next round of high-end AMD cards. This is coming from someone who has a 6800 btw.

Just picked up this card from local UMART store in the morning, so far ran the 3d mark and some benchmarks, no coil whine during idle, little bit whine when set the profile to overclock, it’s noticeable together with the GpU fan goes but not really annoying, felt more like electric buzzing noises

Overall, happy with this card since I’m just a regular user, I had 6900xt TUF, moved to Gigabyte vision 3080 ti (so hot in temp), and now 7900xt, I got to say, Nvidia DLSS I can’t really feel anything different to native despite I have a 34” ultra wide 3k monitor , driver wise, I don’t really do much creative thing so for me, they pretty much similar….

    • Nice! What about when the profile is not in overclock but being fully utilized? Is the coil whine still present?

      • Coil whine is there when not overclocked and fully utilised (3DMark time spy) , I have to say I didn’t know it is coil whine, I thought it’s pretty much just the fan on card spins up and causing a bit of vibration until I saw people saying coil whine issue

Coil whine on this card is not that bad honestly, had the same thing with 3080 ti , I didn’t think it was the coil whine at all
I have my pc sit upright next to my monitor on the desk , so yes it’s noticeable but if you have it on the floor, you can’t hear a thing…

  • Deal back on

  • I bought this card and…. it is glorious!!!

I was on a 3070 Ti prior and the 7900XT is a phenomanal upgrade. I am appreciating a new level of graphical fidelity I've not experienced before.

Been playing Diablo IV and The Division 2 and the performance and graphics quliaty in both is amazing.

This is the first AMD (ATi) GPU I'ver owned since the legendary X800XT release in 2004.

    • Your comment almost tipped me over the edge, but i see prices went up $100 recently haha :(
