Bought a Jet 70 the other day for my Mother in law for Mothers day, not realising it didnt come with the clean station.

Our unit came with one so i didnt realise you have to buy one separately now.

Long story short, everywhere else is $299 so if you need one too then get on it pretty quick, these wont last long.

I think these suit the Jet 60, 65 and 70 but do some research if unsure.

and here I was dumping straight into the wheelie bin like some sort of heathen

if only they would invent vacuum cleaners with vacuum bags

  • +9

    Pointless.

Clean it yourself. Works fine for me years later.

"hey bro, i heard you like vacuums. so i made a vacuum for your vacuum, so you can vacuum the vacuum after you vacuum"

yeah seems very redundant but it's at least elegant-ish. if i was forking out the big bucks for the "bespoke" jet, i'd probably get one of these *shrug*

It's a fairly good add on imo.

The one thing I hated about emptying into trashbin would be the fine dust particles blowing up and drifting out.

This station sucks it all out into a bag which is emptied once a month or two.

I wouldve preferred buying the all in one model where the station is the stand/charger. (As I was buying it as a gimic, but prefer this setup now)

Totally can get behind this. It's an ocd of mine to hold my breath whilst I'm doing it… it has been the reason why I empty it more often, also the reason why my next vacuum will likely be a bagged one aha. Though, your input might change that now, so I appreciate your reply!

The station has a minor flaw. There's two spring action nubs which pop the lid. They can get a bit of dirt in them that seizes them up. Simple fix but have to take a few screws out to get underneath them to put them ke them back up. Had to fix it twice in about year since I brought it.

If your well inclined in the wallet area, I would glance at the bespoke. I have the Jet 70 and station, but after a week I wish I had brought the all in one setup.

Not that it's troublesome really. It's hang up the cleaner, unhook the tub and insert into station, then reinsert tub and done.

Oh and removable batteries! (good 20mins on highest setting for battery I've found, so have only had the one)

@Phantomsurfr: golden feedback, well, i hope my lottery ticket is picked this week - I'll buy us both a bespoke jet haha

            thanks mate!

Yeah yeah, i hear you guys. But, everytime i used to take my Dyson V6 outside to empty into the compost bin, i'd click open the bottom and if there was as much as a slight breeze half the dust ended up on me and my clothes.

With these babies, it collects all the dust into a bag which you only empty every 2 - 3 months (i was surprised how long they last between changes).

Then you close off the top of the bag and chuck it in the bin, no dust on anyone.

Its a game changer for an ultra portable unit.

You mean like a bagged vacuum cleaner?

      • And it's cordless!

      • Yes but we're in the age of stick vacuum cleaners now. And while the stick vac is a better solution than lugging a heavy corded vacuum around like the good old days, it's not perfect.

    • I know what you mean. I have to wear a mask when emptying into a bin. My wife prefers to use the old Electrolux to clean all our bagless vacuums.

    • +1

Just get a garbage bag or smaller bin liner, empty vacuum in to it and tie a knot in garbgae bag and toss it. Simple.

  • +2

Okay but what do you do when this gets full of dust?

    • +13

Buy a new one of course

      • +1

        compactor
        incinerator
then throw the incinerator in the wheelie bin

        👌😐

    • Dust goes into a bag and when it's full you throw it away.

      • +1

Instructions unclear, threw whole unit in the bin

      • I actually just take the dust bag and pull out the crap into a bag with pliers lol. I don't vacuum bugs, so it's just dust and hair mostly. Takes me about 10 minutes /6 months, save a baggy 😂

    • +4

It's Clean Stations all the way down!

    • +1

you need a 3rd vacuum to empty this one

      • I actually lolled

  • +2

    Can dyson vacuum use this?

    • +8

      Yes..but it will not work.

      • The Dyson or the Clean Station?

        • +4

Neither. I mean I CAN technically use the garden hose on my toaster and it will be cleaner. So there's that.

    • Yeah same. Wish dyson had a solution as emptying is a pain with dust

      • Ozito make this Dyson Cleaner, works well if you have a garden :-)

  • Introducing the Vacuception! a revolutionary cleaning system that not only vacuums your vacuum, but with our latest firmware update v2.02 released next week - it'll be able to vacuum your vacuums vacuum!

    • I was thinking the same thing!
Why do we need such things? They make/invent/create more work for us and clutter in the household for us. All while making money.

  • +1

Solution to a problem no one ever had.

  • probably as useful as VIPoo

  • +1

It's a great unit. It does what it says it does. Put the barrel on the unit and all the contents gets sucked into the internal bag. No mess, no fuss and no dust escapes. Much more hygienic and convenient than emptying into a bin. Yes it's a vaccum for a vacuum but if you're an allergy sufferer it's a god send. It lasts for ages too. When you do need to replace the bag it seals the bag as you pull it out. It's a good overall solution.

    • -1

I suffer from allergy too & happy to spend $10 for annual supplies of anti-histamine. This just creates unnecessary waste for landfills.

      • -2

The bags are made out of paper/cloth. Your drugs are packaged in plastic but you do you.

        • here I was hoping this was a futuristic inert dust-compressing cube machine

  • +2

Each to there own but we have the bespoke jet that comes with these and they are great, no more pulling out pet hair when trying to empty the bin and then getting a face full of dust in the process.

  • +1

got one for $100 a few months ago with a JB deal. wasnt a believer but it is great and the wife loves it.

  • +3

They make vacuums that have the "bags" feature built-in, pretty good.

    • Yeah, I'd never trade my Numatic Henry for a Dyson clone.

  • First time know there is a vacuum for a vacuum.

  • Robot vacuum or the Samsung jet?

    • +1

A robot trained to operate your Samsung Jet is your best bet.

  • I remember in the good old days we used to have bagged vacume…and when the bag got full, we would cut it open to empty it then sticky tape it back so we could re-use it a second time…

    • +1

or just get the bag with the lid that allows you to reuse the bag after emptying the dust

  • This reminds of a Stephen Chow movie where he was doing a parody of a James bond film

He pulled out a solar powered torch. His assistant asked him how it worked, in which he pulled out another solar powered torch to shine onto the first one.

  • +1

One of my 'treat myself' presents was the bespoke vacuum and the Tineco s3. I used to HATE emptying the vacuum bin as I would be covered in dust, so it would mean just small vacuums with the stick or lugging around the big ball vacuum. With the bespoke I've emptied the bag twice in a whole year, can't go back.

  • +2

No-one wanna give props to this King for buying his mother in law a vacuum for mother day.. bold.

    • You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the simpy son in law

  • You can laugh but I'm really liking the bespoke jet. Had a dyson previously and always had trouble opening the flap and then asphyxiating myself trying to not inhale the dust when trying to tip it into a bag and then trying to scoop out whatever hair balls that's stuck in the crevices. I may just be dexterically challenged but it's so much easier with the samsung

  • Yep 2nd this comment.
Got an bespoke for 650 on marketplace new. I thought why not.

Turns out one of the best purchases ever.

    1. No hair tangles on the brush (1yr+ since I bought)

    2. Bagged station is amazing. Change it maybe once every 3-6 months

    3. Swappable batteries is a must when cleaning cars.

It's one of those why would you. And then you don't go back after trying. One con is the handle is not as ergo as Dyson..

  • +1

I have allergies and asthma. If I need to empty a Dyson, I can just step outside for the 30 seconds it takes to empty it.

There's sensible health appliances, then there is raving paranoia.

If I was this paranoid, I'd use another kind of vacuum or wear a respirator, or run all my air purifiers in full blast all the time.

    • to be fair (despite my earlier sarcasm), this does make more sense for people in apartments, which is majority of Samsung's domestic market

    • not sure what the gripe is, the nature of consumer appliances is that we pay for conveniences. gone are the days of doing washing in the river or scrubbing the floor with a cloth on our knees. if it saves you a minute or two a day and makes the process a bit simpler, why not?

    • Yes but that's not always convenient for some people (people living in apartments maybe?) and who wants to go outside everytime they need to empty their vac?

Your needs does not equal other people's needs even though you also have allergies.

      • Curiously enough, I'm also in an apartment. I use the balcony, though I also have a respirator for seriously polluting stuff (eg soldering).

Not sure how I've survived up to now by holding my breath when I empty the Dyson. What I really needed all this time was a second vacuum that costs as much as an entire bagged vacuum.

        • Yes I'm not sure how you've survived either like I'm also not sure what other people's needs and wants are. But I own the machine and I find it useful and so I can see how other people could find it useful.
