  • Has anyone in the past tried to claim one of these offers by initiating a free eBay Plus trial and then attempting to claim it the offer?

    • +3

      Yes. Worked fine for me.
The trial is not treated any differently to paid membership.

      • Can you have multiple quantities available for sale to multiple customers? Or is it just 3 listings (each with 1 sale) and then expires?

          • @ihuntbargains: That sucks, so effectively the promotion is on sale of 3 quantities. Naturally, one would assume you can list multiple quantities (stock) per listing.

            • @nsingh21: Yeah unfortunately the multiple quantities (stock) in a listing don't work for the zero variable fee promotions (or at least didn't last I checked)

You would have to make 3 separate listings, one for each one.

              • @ihuntbargains: In the past it didn't allow multiple quantity listings. That changed a little while ago. Read the terms:

“Eligible Listings” means item listings that are:
                newly listed on eBay.com.au during the Promotion Period (i.e. they cannot be relisted items through ‘Good ‘til Cancelled (GTC) or auto-renewal);
in multi-quantity or single quantity fixed price or auction format only; and
not listed in one of the Excluded Categories (as defined below).

Not sure when they changed it but I used the equivalent promotion a few months ago and it applied to multiple quantity listings back then.

              • +1

@ihuntbargains: That is incorrect. The promo includes multi quantity listings as what @tbone74 said

If you have a listing with qty 5 for example and a buyer buys 4 of the 5, it counts as 1 sale under the no fee promotion

        • +1

I've been corrected, it works on multi-quantity listings now.
Letting you know as they replied to me instead of you, the person who asked.

          • @ihuntbargains: Many thanks! This sounds pretty sweet now. Definitely worth trialing this out now.

  • +1

That's the old one that started 01.04

      • +10

Not sure if it should have been marked 'Expired' then, because you've posted up the exact same deal. If you accepted the deal last month, it'll reset for this month, which is why you're seeing the new dates in your Seller Hub.

If anyone didn't accept the deal last month, this is the link you want:
        https://www.rsvp.ebay.com.au/rsvp/signup/1010042/no9qv3-_17s

        • Exactly why I didn't post at midnight. It's the exact same deal, with the promo reset every month. We didn't need a new post

  • +2

maybe targeted? seems I cannot see in my account

    • plus only. But should work for everything.
If you accepted the one last month, it reset the uses this morning.

    • +1

I got it by just clicking on "Accept Offer" link in T&C page itself.

    • I cannot see this offer in my account. I am a plus member

  • +1

It says its Cycle and automatically activates in the start of month.

Question: Do I need to end and Relist the items that were listed last month on 11th April ?

    • +2

you need to make a new listing not press the relist button. "Sell a similar item." on the item page is the fastest way.

      • Last month I "Ended" the listing and then went to Ended listings and used "Sell a similar Item", start date of listings was appearing 11th April then. I think system just see the start date to qualify a listing. Thanks :)

So what part of the FVF is the "Variable Fees" ? I remember the old you pay $1 total FVF for example.

    • +2

Fixed fee is $0.3 plus GST. The rest is variable = 0.

      • Thanks, so near free total FVF sweet.

  • Excuse my ignorance, does this affect the final sale price ebay cut? The %13.5 that they take?

    • +5

Yes, basically all eBay get from you is $0.33 fixed fee for the sale.

      • Yeah it's the best

      • Yes, basically all eBay get from you is $0.33 fixed fee for the sale

The way it used to be before they went crazy with hiking up fee.

    • GST and PayPal come into it too, right?

How much do they dip in?

  • Mine says 1st May to 30th of June, maybe only getting 3 every 2 months now? Who knows it bloody changes all the time!

    • -2

today is the 1st of may..

  • +1

Mine still show April when clicking on the link

  • -1

I just got charged for item i listed this morning and this activated from April.

    • You may have done something wrong. If you are entitled to the free listing just talk to eBay. They will sort it out for you.

      • I just did, they said i relisted, despite I 'sell similar' and have always done that every month' then said I listed 30 April… Useless CS.

        • +1

OK thanks fpr sharing - lets see if t happens to others too.
          Hope CS lets you off

          • @King Tightarse: I just listed new again just now because for some reason their system is showing I listed 30 April.

They said they will investigate this one but my last 'investigation' from last month is still ongoing so not holding my breath.

Bummer! I hate how eBay makes things so complicated sometimes. Their promos are full of minor intricacies. Worst one is when they had that really good end of year deal recently for sellers and then just pull the plug. Scummy!

    • I can confirm that a listing I made a couple days later worked fine (also sell similar).

  • I sold almost 4k worth of stuff during march's offer and did not get the offer in april or today 😪

Too much profit for them to lose?

    • +1

      eBay plus?

    • I clicked through the link in the OP and then clicked the link to 'Accept Offer'. It took me to an eBay page telling me I'd already accepted and the offer runs from 3 April to 30 June. Maybe you should try the same?

This has been great for me. I sold a bulk lot of items last month for over $500 that not only had the FVF waived but I received 3x potage labels for free. I estimate I saved about $150 all up for a single transaction.

      • I did.
Tried everything and its not there :-(

        • Bugger, that's a real shame. I wonder if there is a tipping point where the offer is rescinded? Only way to find out would be to sell less on that account over the next few months.

        • +1

Did you check near the bottom of Overview https://www.ebay.com.au/mys/overview? There should be a Selling Promotions heading, where it is listed under.

  • +2

Didn't have to sign up for this one, I was automatically opted in. Ther's also 3x 1/2 price Aus Post labels for this month too.

I'm glad ebay plus is providing benefits to sellers now.

  • I'm considering opening a 2nd account. This offer is too good.

    • +1

i just reg the 3rd one . seem 2 accounts are not enough now =)))

  • Does anyone know if the free postage label promotion is still available to sellers?

  • huh when i clicked the accept offer i got this:

Pay $0 Variable Fees on 3 new listings, thanks to eBay Plus.

what, 30 june for me but just 3 lol

    • +1

Its 3 per month, every month until (and including) june.

It resets on the first of each month.
Mine is from april till june as I accepted last month.
It reset yesterday so I have 3 to use this month.

  • just to double check you can sell similar and its all good? i feel like i did this before and got charged.

    • Sell similar seem to be the best options. you want to avoid re-list because it wont count.

  • -1

Can anyone confirm if you need to finish listing by 30th June or start it by then? T&C's don't seem to elaborate.

  • I am a plus member but cant seem to find it anywhere?

"List up to 250,000 Items for FREE Every Month!" seems to be the only promotion I have

  • +1

Annoying situation. Someone who bought one of my items asked for me to cancel immediately after the sale. I obliged, but it used one of my 3 promo sales for this month, and hasn't been credited back after the cancellation.

Has anyone dealt with this before? I'm on with eBay Live Chat right now, but I'm not optimistic.

EDIT: For posterity: eBay Live Chat were helpful. They couldn't re-add a sale to the promo, but they promised to credit variable fees on the subsequent sale (after the last remaining one in the promo). Good result.

    • I had to cancel a sale due to a non-paying buyer and it didn't count towards the limit (where it says 'x / y used'). Got the impression it only counts once they pay.

  • My annual ebay plus ended yesterday and the offer is gone from my active promos.

If I sign up for monthly ebay plus can I re-accept the offer? Or did it have to be accepted back at the start of the cycles?

    • +1

It should reinstate without you having to do anything, from my experience.

      • Thanks I was encouraged by your comment and when I signed up for a month the offer reappeared in my active promos.

  • +1

damn yeah baby saved $62 on fees

  • Is this ongoing for Plus members? 3 FREE FvF per month?

    • No one can guarantee but so far yes seems that way
