    Finally a RTX4060 laptop for around $1500

  • +2

8GB ram, what are they doing
    Upgradable?

  • This looks to be the same laptop. The 4060 has a max of 75w, by the looks. 64gb max ram.

    • +1

thanks, 75w is a red flag for me

      • +2

Yes with 3xxx series NOT with 4xxx series, 80w-100w for 4050 4060 4070 is peak FPS, watch Jarrods Tech video where he tests them

    • Credit to Gigabyte here, they're one of the few laptop manufacturers that makes the wattage of the GPU relatively easy to find without trying to pretend it's one of the fully fledged ones. Lots of companies will use the lowest-wattage version and then just provide the basic name implying it could be the fully fledged version.

      • I read recently that it's Nvidia who are using the generic name across all the wattage versions of their GPUs these days.

        • +1

Oh, most likely, but some vendors are providing wattage and some aren't, so it's still on them.

  • 1kg? Isn't that light for what you get?

  • No thunderbolt?

    • On the other hand 2 type C ports is pretty nice…

    • 1 x Mini DP 1.4
      1 x HDMI (with HDCP)

      Still pretty decent.

Bottom tier Gigabyte gaming laptops are getting worse

    RTX 4060 75W vs RTX 3060 140W from Jarrod

4060 is 5-10% faster using about half the power

After RAM/SSD is added to the X15 from yesterday this laptop is $400 more for marginal performance increase and better fake frame support

Uses less power when gaming on battery but this has a 54Whr battery vs the 94Whr on the X15

Whole package is mediocre due to Jacket Man's hyperinflation BS

    • the JT video is comparing between 115W 4060 vs 115W 3060… so the 75W 4060 in the above laptop will be much slower.

      • +1

…so the 75W 4060 in the above laptop will be much slower.

        No it's not

        4060 75W is 5-10% faster than a 3060 140W

Read the graph at the video timestamp that was linked

        • Fair enough but it was a comparison of a 4060 card that can go up to 115W.

A card that has nax 75W will be hitting its limit sooner and show more stuttering.

  • What's their laptop build quality like from this brand ?

    • No good. Flimsy plastic. Gigabyte are my last choice for laptops.

Although, it it's just going to sit on your desk most of the time it might not matter.

      • This is the budget line of Gigabyte laptops.the Aero/Aorus ones aren't too bad.

  • I'm seeing very mixed reviews, and arguments about the GPU. Is this good, or not?

  • If I were to upgrade the ram, does it support higher speeds, or must I stick to 3200mhz? Would higher speeds be worth it?
