Great keyboard, use it every day for work.

    • Comparing it to other keyboards like Logitech MK850, how is the typing quality?

      • +4

very low movement on keys, but extremely comfortable - i bought one at RRP and want to buy one as a backup - the key feature is the multi-device switching - easy and effective

If you like laptop style keys (MacBook etc) then it’ll suit you. I also find it very fast to type on and comfortable despite its profile. It’s quiet, so suited best to an office, however if I had a choice between this and a decent mechanical (eg the recently advised Akko from PCCG), I’d go the mechanical anytime I don’t need to worry about noise. There’s such minimal travel in the MX keys, typing just isn’t as satisfying.

        • Thanks. It seems that low profile isn't suitable for everyone.

        • Definitely something you need to try out to work out what you like.

Personally, I don't like mechanical keyboards at all. I'm typing this on my mx keys and I love it.

It replaced a k780 though, and I don't think the price jump between the 2 is justified. If this fails, i'll go back to a k780.

I can second this, it's quiet yet tactile enough with perfect spacing between keys. Plus you can register 3 different devices and switch between them on the fly.

Logitech MX Keys Mini Minimalist Wireless Illuminated Keyboard, Rose https://amzn.asia/d/3dj3dx5

Rose Mini is $89 again as well.

    • +1

Wish they had the graphite colour for that price

      • Same, I’ve been waiting ages. Zero chance I’m paying the current price for the mini, I own the full sized MX keys, want the mini to take to work, great keyboards

    • Thanks, price matched the Rose Mini at JB

$119 delivered from Ozonline Buys eBay with code HGMAY.

It would be $115.20 delivered from Logitech Shop with the code YIPPEE10, from $128, but unfortunately they are out of stock and have been since Apr 5.

Have the logitech mx keys mini (essentially tkl version) as a portable keyboard and it fits perfectly into a Raspberry Pi 400 case.

Pretty nice to type on, decent build, illuminated wireless keyboard with decent battery life.

My only major con is it CANNOT be used as a wired keyboard.

  • This is a great keyboard, although one issue, I find the numpad turns off by itself overnight…most morning I have to manually activate it by pressing the numpad lock button. Not sure what is happening. Some mornings, it is randomly active, without me needing to press the button…

Other than this, it's a great keyboard.

Such a weird bug, I've had 2 of these keyboards for years and never had that happen.
Wonder if you're got latest firmware?

      • Can't say it's happened to mine as well

      • Yeah thanks, this is the first thing I checked. Still happens.

        • It's not the operating system turning it off? You can check this in Windows by starting the On Screen Keyboard (click Start and search for 'OSK'). The NumLock key is normally in the bottom right and should be highlighted in blue if it's enabled. I'm not sure if it's the same for Mac (I'd have to check when I get home), which is called the Accessibility Keyboard and is a couple more steps to turn on.

    • I have similar. It’s not every night though.

I would also like ability to customise lighting settings

  • I use one on my MB Pro. I prefer it over the Magic Keyboard (though a finger printrader would be handy).

Bought one a few years ago, still going strong. Now connect it to my Work laptop, my home PC and my Macbook Pro and am able to just switch it at button press. Absolutely great keyboard.

Great keyboard, but find it disappointing that Logitech remain committed to having an anti-consumer, and confusing product line up with such inconsistency in the receiver technology.

Bolt technology has been marketed as the way forward, which is compatible with the MX Mechanical, MX Keys Mini and MX Master 3S mouse.

This MX Keys keyboard with numpad remains widely available in the Unifying format only, with the Bolt 'business version' being difficult to source.

Logitech should do better in offering such a popular keyboard with Bolt through consumer channels.

    • +1

I ordered this keyboard but cancelled once I found out that it does not utilise Bolt technology. What a shame, was hoping to pair it with my Master 3S.

  • +1

Love this keyboard with the easy device switching! Music control and illuminated keys.

Feels very solidly built and the keys are nice and punchy to type on.

  • +1

Do these still have the backlight pulsing issue? I have two and both have it.

  • If you are after a new keyboard then don't think about it just buy it. Been using this keybaors for the last 18 months on the recommendation from the people on ozbargain and it hasn't let me down.

  • This model might be phased out, so they are doing discounts quite frequently.

    • why?

      • It's using a Unifying receiver. I sensed that Logitech is moving to the other type of receiver (can't remember the name) used by the mechanical version of this keyboard.

        • +1

It uses Logitech Bolt, which is the current receiver type isn't it?

        • +1

My apologies, the listing does say it uses the unifying receiver. My MX Keys Mini uses the bolt though. Weird?

    • This model might be phased out

Source? What would they replace it with?

  • Thanks am on need for a new work keyboard after I spilt my drink on my last.

I need a mouse too, any suggestions what I can buy so I share the same usb?

    • You can consider Logitech MX Master 2s or 3s. Actually this one often buddles with 3s.
As for the connection, these devices all support both bluetooth and wireless via a usb dongle.
If you prefer usb then as long as the mouse says it supports Logitech 'Unifying' receiver then yes, they can share a same usb. You can keep the redundant usb dongle as a backup.

(sorry I don't know why it has to be associated with 'Amazon AU' to allow me post. I don't know what does it mean, I'm new here)

  • I have three of these, and they're great. Wish the mouse went on sale more often, I need another.

  • Thanks. Price matched at Officeworks

  • have the mini at home and really tempted to buy this as my new job relies pretty heavily on having a numpad. Excellent keyboard, either option.

would replace my work keyboard too but its a logitech solar keyboard that, besides being on its third rechargeable battery in around 10yrs, is still going like a damn champ.

  • +3

It appears to be $139. 95 now

  • Those using this as multi device - what mouse are you using along side it?

    • +2

There are only two answers for this. MX Master 3 (there's now a 3S) and Anywhere 3. (In all seriousness though, these two.)

      • Legend. Just wasnt sure with the mx master 3 was worth dropping the coin on but id rather have matching ones

        • +1

Definitely worth dropping the coin on.

  • +1

Priced matched last night at Officeworks when it was still $129 which brought it down to $122.55. It's up to $139.95 again.

It's back on sale in case you missed it last time …
